New Parents: Expectations vs. Reality I Parentalogic
Being a new parent can bring on a mix of feelings, from excitement and joy to stress and frustration. It may not be easy, but with a little parental-logic, you can take on the challenge!
Subscribe! bit.ly/30Y8PS
In this episode, co-hosts Bethany Van Delft and Dr. Alok Patel reflect upon their own experiences becoming parents to discuss the expectations and reality of new parenthood.
Visits to the pediatrician’s office or online parenting forums can shake a new parent’s confidence in their child’s health. Although there are expected milestones for your child to meet (bit.ly/3u5oz2o), the reality is that every child grows and develops differently. As a doctor, “I understand why some breastfed babies don’t poop every day,” Alok says. But as a father, Alok admits he worries when his new baby daughter doesn’t poop for days at a time. Bethany adds: “I’ve actually called our pediatrician and said, ‘I think my son’s head is growing too fast.’”
Regardless of whether you are parenting alone or with support, it’s important to discern which parental roles you can take on and which you may want to delegate, if possible. Finding support through friends, family, childcare, and healthcare professionals can greatly improve the transition into parenthood. Even if one parent is doing what seems like “more work” than the other for a time, “all parental roles are equally important,” says Bethany.
Once your child does arrive, bonding will likely be top of mind. Bonding with your new baby can happen through chemical and physiological processes, and/or through time and experience parenting. In his experience, Alok says birthing parents are more likely to mention bonding with their child immediately, thanks to the release of oxytocin during breastfeeding. For non-birthing parents, it may take some time to forge that bond. Alok found that stimulatory parenting (i.e. “picking up the baby, reading to your baby, interacting to your baby with touch”) helped him forge a bond with his newborn.
New parenthood can be tricky. But with support, Bethany says, we can raise “happy, healthy, safe, loved children.”

The results indicate that ethylmercury-containing compounds are actively transported across membranes by the L (leucine-preferring)-amino acid transport (LAT) system, the same as methylmercury-containing compounds. Further, 22 studies from 1971 to 2019 show that exposure to ethylmercury-containing compounds (intravenously, intraperitoneally, topically, subcutaneously, intramuscularly, or intranasally administered) results in accumulation of mercury in the brain. In total, these studies indicate that ethylmercury-containing compounds and Thimerosal readily cross the BBB, convert, for the most part, to highly toxic inorganic mercury-containing compounds, which significantly and persistently bind to tissues in the brain, even in the absence of concurrent detectable blood mercury levels. pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/31841767/

The thioredoxin system has several known inhibitors including mercury compounds such as Thimerosal (TmHg) which readily crosses the blood-brain barrier (BBB) and accumulates in the brain. Though previously used in various applications epidemiological evidence on TmHg's neurotoxicity is lacking.

The EPA only sets levels for a specific type of mercury called "methylmercury". This is the kind that causes environmental issues and is harmful even in relatively low doses. The type of mercury used in some vaccines is called "ethylmercury", and it's a completely different substance with different properties. Ethylmercury is present in Thimerosal which is a preservative used specifically in the flu vaccine. It has never been shown to cause any issues beyond rare cases of mild irritation at the point of injection as some people's skin can have allergic reactions to it. I think it was in the 90s that a group within the FDA carried out an internal examination of mercury levels in vaccines and they judged Thimerosal by the EPA standards for methylmercury (because the EPA had no standards for ethylmercury). They ended up removing Thimerosal entirely from a bunch of vaccines and lowering its content in others. Ever since then it's kind of floated around the public consciousness that Thimerosal is dangerous, when it isn't and likely never was.

Like duh, we know that.. give me the science and statistics.. not "oh well this one lady got sick this one time".. please, convince me. As it is, my confidence in the transparency of the medical field and its professionals is dwindling after hearing sooo many professionals say how terribly dangerous it is to homemake baby formula and then learning that commercial baby formula companies actually pay money to health organizations to promote their products (kinda sorta like bribery)..

Yes there is. All these pro Vxs always throw the, "babies get more aluminum in breastmilk, and there's more aluminum in the food we eat and drink every day." They are intentionally misleading to parents who wouldn't know better. They ignore the fact that the digestive system is a barrier and filters toxins, when you go for the jab, you bypass this very important barrier that our bodies have. They do not mention that only 0.25%-1% of aluminum from the digestive tract only gets absorbed into the blood stream. A baby will absorb 100% of aluminum from a VX into the blood stream, babies have more permeability in the blood brain barrier, and LESS GFR kidney efficiency which is the primary organ that filters and excretes aluminum. There is insufficient safety data, the safety data out there are not doing correctly (placebo issues).

My mother in law once tried talking me into following an alternative vaccine schedule after my oldest was born. I shut that down right away, even using some of the same talking points made in this video. In fact, when my wife and I interviewed their pediatrician, one of the questions I asked was about vaccines. He told me that he strongly encourages parents follow the set schedule but would follow an alternative since it at least means they'd be getting their shots. The only shot that was delayed was one of the annual shots because my kid happened to be sick and cranky the day of the appointment, the doctor didn't want to add a shot to their misery, so we just came back a week or two later.
