Cutting Board Made From a Walnut Log
I had this walnut log in my firewood pile and decided to see if I could make a cutting board out of it. With the right tools, this is a quick and and easy project.

Building a Cat Wall for a Cool Cat

Our cat, Nala, loves to jump on everything so I built her a cat wall out of 3/4" plywood. Because the shelves are mounted to a plywood backer, it can be easily moved.

Well done ! awesome fixtures for holding boards in place. Danke
Thank you!
I am a little over a month removed from a quadruple bypass. I had some of the symptoms you mentioned and supposedly I had two heart attacks. 😲 Two arteries were 100 blocked and a third was almost completely blocked. 😲 I just celebrated my 59th birthday (January 7). There was a time I thought it would never happen. The hospital experience...? Yup. Been there done that. Loss of appetite? Ditto. The hospital food? 🤮 Prayers for a full recovery. 🙂
I doing pretty well now. I just finished the cardiac rehab program. I'm glad you made it. Sounds like it was a pretty close call. Good luck with your recovery!
@@buchananbuilds485 Thank you. 🙂 I'm getting aftercare now. One is cardio exercise and the other is blood pressure (which is a little low for a reason.)
How long in the oven ? Never saw that before bet that was an interesting fragrance
I had never tried it before. I think it was about 45 minutes.
Nice looking cutting board. I've never taken one from log to board so this was pretty interesting to follow. Way cool!!
Thanks, Cherrie. I just wanted to try something a little different.
Pretty awesome, Du
Thanks du
Gut gemacht 🎉 tyvm 🎉
Vielen dank!
Stellar job mate, looks the business. I love BMX from before my time, gotta embrace the roots. I got my 1st ride some years later (early '82) when my Mum 'n Dad got me a French made "LeJeune" racing BMX for my birthday, rad as fuuk but it was way to big for me until I started to grow into it a year or so later.
Thanks mate. Where are you checking in from?
@@buchananbuilds485 Dublin, Ireland.
@@RaulMeatFactory1975 Nice! I would love visit there someday.
Brainstorming cat shelves for the new house. Nice vid!
Thanks, I hope it gives you some good ideas!
Great background music and at last a restorer who isn’t trying to be a comedian like some of the other bmx restorers
Thank you. I appreciate it!
J'avais le même à 12ans avec les jantes skyway ! C'était en 1981 !!!😅 (Belgique)
C'est génial. Je ne pensais pas en entendre parler en Belgique. Merci d'avoir regardé.
You sped up is me at normal speed. Damn you move slow. Ps, it's a miracle you still have all your fingers.
I didn't know it was a race, but I guess you win.
I would have stopped instantly to go out and buy new nail gun !
You got that right. It would've been worth it.
Wow I kinda remember that weld man it's been so have to go back when I was 10
Yeah, it's been a long time!

lucky cats!
Great video man! Also quick question what pitch is that roof? And what size 2x4 did you use?
Thank you. 4/12 pitch and 8' 2x4 for the rafters.
I had a widowmaker July 2023 100% blocked. Opened up with a stent but lately angina and shortness of breath....I go to my Dr soon. I fear bypass...
After going through it, I can say that it isn't as bad you think it would be. It definitely can be hard mentally, though. Good luck with everything.
Listen, Fred, and please listen good. I agree with Buchanan. I was a little hesitant, but I don't regret it. One month-plus after surgery and the good days are getting better and the bad days are getting fewer and further between. Really, the most pain is from sneezing and coughing. The doctors and nurses have helped minimize the discomfort dramatically. The incision is only slightly tender.
Sorry to hear what happened to you. You look pretty good considering. But, you also learned a hard lesson to listen to your body. Hang in there!!
I really appreciate it! I'm getting better every day.
I’m sure that was a hard video to make. Glad you’re doing good.
Showww man 🇺🇸👍 kkkkkk 😁... beautiful bike...the classic BMX 70.s.....love❤..this bike...my..congratulations..my friend 🇧🇷... here in Brazil
Thank you for watching in Brazil!
Nice,thank you:)
Thanks!
This is just a race inc.
Not very safe use of a ladder. Get a taller ladder.
Sometimes you work with what you have.
@@buchananbuilds485 hope you have a taller A-frame now. Made be scared watching ppl standing on the very top step, and the ladder shakes. Be safe out there. Good job on the shed.
you are an awsome carptener, sir.very nice
Thanks for the nice compliment!
una pregunta; no es malo dejar nuestras herramientas con la bateria puesta?
Siempre no lo he usado y no he tenido ningún problema, pero no soy un experto en baterías.
Nice job!
I appreciate it!
Epic build nice to see 👍👌🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Thank you!
What a cute little cat. Great job on the build!
She's a good kitty. Thanks for watching.
I have a blue one but mine is stamped with a Race Inc serial number so probably a later one. The guy I bought it from told me when he got it, someone had put some lame decals on it back in the day. After a little discussion and showing him pictures of the red one you're likely talking about, he confirmed they were the same so I sourced replacement decals. Cool to see a gol one.
That's cool that you were able figure out what you really have!
I have seen better
I've read more interesting comments.
@@buchananbuilds485. He's a hater.
Bro enjoy the heck of thr bike. What colors and restoration! 😎😎👌🏻
Thank you!
I live in fear of kickback (I even bought a band saw to avoid using the table saw so much). Glad you showed why it happened and the correct way to do it. Oh yes, I liked the cutting board!! &: )
Thank you! I appreciate all your comments. Hopefully someone can learn from my mistakes.
Outstanding restoration. I have a garage find old silver Primo that I am trying to decide if its worth restoring. Its missing the chain. Everything else appears original. Rust here and there and a lot of paint scraps.
Thank you! You should definitely restore it, even if only for the experience.
Lots of similarities to race Inc and pk ripper frames
Definitely!
By chance do you have a list of the parts you need
I have a rough lumber estimate in the video description.
It's a shame you went through all that, but didn't build a proper foundation.
Really like your catwalk. And, it looked like your furry friend appreciates your efforts. I had to laugh at the "Thinking about it" part😅
Haha thanks. She took a minute to get used to it. Now she has it figured it out.
well done Sir....
Thank you!
Very cool cat indeed 😊 Thanks for sharing the project!
Thanks for watching!
Great job hunny :)
Thanks!
Nice work. That’s awesome. Luckily I don’t think our cats are adventurous enough to use that.
Thanks. It would be to scary for your cats.
There’s no talking. I got lost. Where does that thing go?
It goes in the garage where ever there's room.
Congratulations very good job
Thank you very much!
Do you have plans for this?
I don't have any plans. I can give the basic dimensions. legs 1 3/4" x 1 3/4 " x 29 1/2" front rails 1 1/2" x 3/4" x 32 1/2" drawer fronts 6" x 32 1/4" side panels 18"w x 17"h shelf slats 1 1/2" x 1/2" x 19 7/8"
Grips cud have been saved worth about 500 dollars...but it's a process n alot of knowledge to not mess them up trying to take off soft grips
Looking good...
Thank you!
Very rare...similar to race inc...bikes...more rare cuz peeps got older n heavier cracked them frames then throw away...
Very nice job, this bike is so sweet! I just tring to understand how the lock system of the stem works, this nut under the long screw, is just for more pressure or it has a screw thread under it???
Thank you! Yes, as it tightens it pressures the nut.
