I had my best year yet last year, but I really don’t think I’ll make as much this year. I had some really good long tale buy and holds which is why I think I did so well and they are almost depleted. Plus, same as you said, Amazon hasn’t been playing nice and has regated me plus the price alerts. I’m hardly selling anything over there anymore.

I sell ~$100K of mostly physical media on eBay. Average CoG is $1. Average sale is $30. I net the same ($55K) after fees, shipping, and CoG except I had $88K gross last year. Ah, physical media. <<<made a youtube channel explaining the sourcing, sales, and a few other things.

Amazon price alerts are so annoying. I had one listing where Amazon was selling over $75, but I couldn’t price above $40 doesn’t make sense

Congrats on an amazing year. I got a chuckle out of the reddit comments. I remember that thread from a week or two ago. A lot of those comments I had to agree with as they focus a lot on the bigger UA-cam reseller channels. If they ever came across your channel, I think you'd be safe from the hate. Your videos have always been honest and straight forward. And, then I saw at 16:15 a little pop up, "Even thought I agree with these comments LOL." Hahaha. You'll do even better this year. I always say the same thing that I can't possibly top my sales and profit from the previous year but I've been up every single year from the previous year since 2019.

I had a couple good gigs in the past and now sell on Ebay. I don't make much money and am going to take your advice and find items that I can atleast make 50%. Seems right now it is a hobby but I need to kick it up a notch. I started a UA-cam channel and havn't posted in quite sometime. That is what I like and just don't seem to just get it done. Would you consider doing a UA-cam video on how to make TikTok videos lol? I’ve never been on there. I found editing videos for UA-cam too hard and time consuming.

I LOVE these videos and hope you continue them! I feel you with the comment about the walls closing in especially on Amazon. I have been keeping track of brands I have been regated/restricted in and I’m currently at 47 brands I can no longer sell from this time last year. 😢 I did get up and going on WM and I like it but fear we’ll have the same issues with them in the near future. Thankfully reselling isn’t my full time gig and we are debt free including our house. Keep us updated with your home building journey! 🫶

I know how you are feeling! I have been finding less and less profitable items. And, I just found out that my favorite sourcing store chain is closing ALL national locations! There are 4 locations in my area, and I always walk out with a cart full of stuff! I am running out of sourcing spots!☹️ I'm looking at Walmart as well.

Thank you for being such an open book 📖 I’m currently feeling leery of Amazon FBA, I’ve had some bad experiences recently with them losing things or price alerting after I’ve sent all my inventory of a product in. It’s feeling like a fiasco. I haven’t looked into Walmart yet, my healthiest relationship continues to be with Ebay. I’m sitting on a basement full of products I’ll have to make some decisions about. When things are working well, it can be so fun!

If you live in the city, you can find plenty of locally owned box and shipping supply stores, and you can get your stuff immediately. There are two that I go to (in Dallas, Texas) and they are cheaper than online. Both give discounts to ebay sellers. Plus, you can buy any amount you want. Just one, or thousands. Whatever you need.

Report the fraud to the police and file a small claims with the courts if in same state. EBay is there to make as much money as possible by doing as little as possible.

As a buyer you dont have to prove anything. I have had 2 chargebacks in my limited selling history and thats why i dont really sell anything on ebay anymore. Staright cash on facebook now 😂

I just sent a Marantz Stereo 3,000 miles from California to New York $141.00 shipping & $ 500.00 for stereo “Working for parts or restoration”! Lights came on picture in listing, he says it does not power on, He tried every way to get a refund before sending it back. He has a big company and restore stereos for big bucks! That stereo is worth $2,000.00 to 2,750 restored! When I refused to send a refund or give partial credit he opened a case and was sent a return label! He tried to tell me “ it may get more damaged returning it! He previously said box damaged by post office, then told ebay possible poor packaging. I took pictures while packing! He has 2 days left to send it back, I don’t think he will! He wanted money back and free stereo , I called his bluff! Scammer from a well known stereo repair and sales business. He inherited it from Grandpa or Dad who would be ashamed of him! GOD Bless & Keep You & Yours Beautiful Sister!

Your absolutely right. I had the same thing happen to me with a football card but they did go through eBay first and lost. Then they went the bank route and got the $180 back and never had to return the card

Cash & Carry where no thieves can operate is not selling ads friendly. Policies needed repaired years ago.
