I found it made it 10000x easier if I reminded myself that I needed to shift weight towards the front end of the bike then start the skid. Also learn to skid and switch skid that way you wont create muscle imbalances.

Just get a geared bike with real brakes. Fixies are cliches. You enjoy PBR as well? And running errands for neighbors or business for years and years on bike getting keys made, mail, hardware store, parts, tobacco, food or drink. Its a lifestyle but you need real brake not that goofy hip shift brake and Ive had to do it myself plenty of times even with brakes. At the old shop make pizzas, make strombolis set a timer. Ride off and come back make another throw it in and ride off again. A nice neighborhood pizza shop. Have fun and be safe brother. Ricky S isnt my real name of course. Haha

I can't keep up With the number of new riders in 2024 however let's go back to 20 20 and the 1st lockdown I was one of the few riders able to operate around Central London never done the job before But I had the Ebike & knew the streets I was literally making £2000 a week these were the glory days now the business is saturated.

Take it from a 56 years old Washington DC bike messenger who is still doing this crazy work in years to come that lower one piece in your backbone is going to feel that nagging ache in your back for many years to come start putting the heavy load on a bike rack when you need to 😢 now I only do passport application work sweet light work paying by the hour with benefits
