Thanks ya.. pretty much back to normal at home. Not so much for lots of other unfortunate folks, but not having power for any length of time is always a humbling experience. That's crazy it made it's way all the way over there already.. and I hear we have a 3rd once coming 🙄 ..2005 all over again!

@@scaleworksRC Cool man, it's surprising how fast things cross the big lake.... luckily it's never much more than a few days of gales and rain by the time it reaches the UK. Extreme weather is something that we all have to endure these days, but it also helps bring communities together mate, I've seen lots of examples of this state side on UA-cam. Glad all is well your end mate, and great to see you utilising the flood water to your advantage and getting the boat out! 😂 👍 👍 👍

Yep.. we are pretty much Central Fla so safe from the storm surge and initial winds, but we were getting what sounded like 100mph winds at my house when the power cut out. Thanks for stopping by! I got my eyes on one of those 1/8 scales soon👀✌

Without a doubt mate, triple digits are well within your grasp! 👍 It's such a cool looking body, and I'm amazed it still looks that good bearing in mind the speed! I actually like seeing a few knocks and dings on the body shells of runners, they all tell a story and give the car character and history. I go totally the opposite with my shelf queens though- they have to be perfect, not even so much as a finger print!! 😂 👍 👍 👍

Yep.. they are gifts from above I believe, and they are very similar looking and similar history! I think people are quick to dump on Tamiya kits because they do need work to perform out of the box.. but that's intentional by Tamiya for 2 reasons. They have the optional hop ups for you to spend more, or just leave it with the pogo sticks and bushings for shelf queen status. I'm sure you could get that Mustang to handle. My buddy Rangoli RC just built his first TT02 and it handles like a champ! Check him out if you have a minute. Thanks for checking in!

​​ Oh yes indeed,they were sent to us by design! 🐈 And yeah, ever since the eighties half of the appeal of Tamiya to me was the option to 'hop up' the car. I really went to town on my TRF special Top force,my sassy chassis custom clod buster and my runner monster beetle! Its great fun tinkering and upgrading.....some of the upgrades make a lot of difference in performance ,some more for aesthetics. And yes,i have seen these tto2's totally turned around and modified into seriously competitive race machines! But ours stays stock as it doesn't really get driven much to be honest....in fact it hasnt been driven since last years tto2 speed challenge when i put it at 50mph head on into a curb!!!! 😂 I will try and check your mates channel out later,cheers man.😊 👍 👍 👍

Probably too soon to have a solid opinion, but when I nailed the throttle, it felt much smoother. The amount of crashes this car has taken is way beyond what I expected. It's a challenge, but fun when you're just chasing numbers. I honestly was ready to give up on it with the lower arms popping out all the time.. you'll see in the beginning how fragile it was. 4S should be 'easy triple digit mode' 😄

That's not a bad idea.. should be easier to cut down and drill, but I might slice my hand open on that stuff. I have a spare L bracket I was gonna use for a ramp that will work perfect. Just need to cut it down and drill the right holes

Congrats! It's a nice looking, fun boat.. but I found the stock battery was a bit slow, so maybe go for a high C rating pack. Also you gotta be careful with the height of the pack. Not much room under the lid, but you can remove one of the hatch screws if needed Have fun out there! BG4L🚤💨

They are surprisingly tough and pretty versatile chassis. Took way more crashes than I expected, but I think the body took most of the impact. The 2 major things to make these driveable is removing the wheel slop, and washers on the lower arms to stop them from popping out every time you hit a bump.

Basically, you are matching the radio trigger to the ESC, so it knows how fast you want to go.

Yep.. I soaked myself in m fair share of DEET over the years but I have the safer stuff now. Works great but I wasn't expecting to get swarmed like that 😄
