I have got some spare time, and I have got myself some clone tools I will rework and a PLCC32 programmer. I would like to give my old Opel Astra X20DTL (EDC15M) a go in the sense of chip tuning it, also only doing it as a hobby. I was wondering what hot air gun/station you use and if you have any suggestions for one? Really appreciate the vids, keep it up! Also any other beginner tip?

How did you separate the board from the other side of housing? I was able to open up (side with torx screws) but it is stuck in the other side, the side you show as face up in this video

Hi, do you have advice for me? I am trying to change the dash on my A4 B7 (RB8 Immo4) from the mono FIS to color FIS. I can not read the immo data from old dash for some reason, always gives me an error. Eeprom dump comes out with useless garbage. If I install the new dash I can read the immo data and eeprom from it, even change km, without any problems, only have the problem with the old dash which I urgently need to read the immo data from to transfer to new dash. What might be the issue? I am using Carprog 13.77

Hi everyone, one question if anybody knows? My 645CI SMG after it gets warm, at a stop gets confused and falls out of gear and won't go back in 1st but only switches between 1st and 2nd gear and it also won't go in the R. After 20 min or so it's all back to normal. I've changed shift sensor and selection sensor because my car would't go in 2nd, 4th and 6th gear. That's when I started having problems with my smg, but after that this temperature problem occurred. Is it because the hydraulic unit can't hold pressure? The Clutch position sensor or actuator slave cylinder? Leak somewhere? Adaptation on a cold trans? Help please.

The only green piece on there. What does that control ? I have the same ecu. The green on mine looks a little worn. I have no crank no start. Esp and engine light just flicker with fan running.

Hi! Thanks for the follow up. Interestingly, the fault was the hydraulic unit. It must have been internally leaking when it got hot as we were not loosing fluid, just pressure which caused the intermittent problems. I found a low mileage used unit so all is well and I am loving my SMG again.

Hi, so I was wondering if there is a parasitic drain what inside the ECU, or PCM, however it is classified would be the most likely cause, if there is one that would stick out to you or if maybe there isn't something that could cause that in the ECU/PCM, also my obd2 reader won't give me live data and I'm not sure if it's the diagnostic that is the issue or if it is the ECU/PCM, THANKS.

hi mate i have problem with my ecu edc15 on table with kess or mppsv13 is no connecting and in mppsv13 after connect all together there no voltage the flash memory dead or what else? what can i chek to know whats wrong with ecu

by cloning what do you mean, as in redraw and redesign the pcb , that sounds like a lot of work , if so can yo do video about it. thanks

Bosch made a design flaw in this ECU. Note 3:16. The insulation paste on the cover does not insulate the connector bottoms on the card with the cover on the other side. To avoid short circuits, you must insulate the connector ends and the cover with an insulated pad.
