Thinking it over and looking at stuff again even though the bnr list gets updated in a few hours, the idea I have so far is this. Manabase 12 fetches 1 RUG triome 3 mountain 2 blood crypt 2 sacred foundry 4 LBolt 4 Lspike 4 BoltWave 4 Bump 4 Boros Charm 4 Tribal Flames 4 Rift Bolt 4 Skewer 4 Swiftspear 4 Vinelasher/Goblin guide, whichever feels better. Searing Blaze of course likely has a home somewhere, But Id say you decide that one. I still dont like the idea of thoughtsieze, especially vs eldrazi as even if they land something big, we should be able to burn around it. If they have threat plus ring chain so be it, im not looking to break that up, If I bring something in there its likely leylines because they both handle a through the breech target on the spot, or a Trinisphere/chalice etc etc. Alternativly for fun There is a way to use Chandras Incinerator as Vinelasher, Seal of Fire, and Rift Bolt can all enable Incinerator early. Just keep in mind Bump does Not work to enable nor after Incinerator is on the field. Looking forward to future content and the BnR list today. Best Wishes!

Thank you so much for playing it out. It means a lot that someone put so much time and energy into an idea I was championing. Ive not figured out anything new, especially since boltwave was printed as that sort of undoes why I was going to a black splash at all in Bump. After the matches youve been through, what thoughts do you have on bump/vinelasher/blaze/tribal flames and leyline binding? I know you said you werent certain if the mana was worth the trade off for tribal flames, and that may be the case especially now with boltwave also existing. It really depends on if vinelasher is "good enough" Vinelasher feels like that equals more than usual number of fetchlands, and as you do that it takes you down the rabbit (lizard?) hole weve been through above. Maybe theres a better mana base out there yet. Maybe tribal flames just feels cool but is inbetween, like shrapnel blast. I cant say for certain, but I will say Thank You.

I would remove goblin guide, vinelasher and 2 lands to add street wraith, mishra's bauble and 2 shard volley. Sideboard: rain of gore, rakdos charm, thoughseize and death's shadow

I think you should play 4 ragavan, 4 soul scar mage, 4 swiftspear, 1 grim lavamancer, 4 mishras bauble, also Lurrus as a commander. and play more of a b/r prowess list. I would cut goblin guide and iridescent vinelasher. I think prowess creatures on board you will do more damage per turn overall. All the one mana burn spells really make prowess better i think. I would keep all the one mana burn spells and just swap in prowess creatures and ragavan for value. I think turn 1 ragavan is better then turn 1 goblin guide as you get mana off it the next turn. And you can mess up the Op draw possibly. Like if you hit a land and they needed the land you hit. Just my thoughts. I also think 3 ragavan, 4 nethergoyf, 4 swiftspear, 4 soulscar mage, baubles, and all burn spells could be good . As nethergoyf can be a 3/4 most games and only costs 1 mana and will be a a mid/late game threat. I think nethergoyf could be good in burn. Similar to wild nacatyl was.

Thank you so much for the shoutout!!! A couple things that have come up since last time, There may be a better manabase yet possible. Ive been looking to go to Savai (mardu) plus Ketria (temur) so that I may fetch more basics vs frog tide and their harbingers of the sea. Alternativly its been suggested to me to use a 13th fetch or other utility land, beside Just a Ketria triome as the only tapped land in the deck, so you dont pass up tempo on early plays as I would sometimes by fetching and then getting om board t2. I really missed seeing the skewers and rift bolts in your games, theres not much else to do vs heliod company, but I honestly never saw a spot I particularly liked Phlage. My favorite thing about the deck is sequencing and I still think thats worth it. Searings looked almost nice against zoo, but I think I still would have been happy with the all purpose bolts instead. How are you liking the thoughtseizes? Ive yet to see a match where I honestly have wanted them yet. When it comes to U Belcher or Storm or Eldrazi, it feels like a coinflip at worst? Especially if youre packing eidolons. Burn V Murktide honestly feels like 2014 legacy burn vs rug delver, and I like our chances there, with enough bolts to go around. Any thoughts of using this list for current events? Should we go down 2x Helix for 2x Skullcrack for the Boros Energy decks? Can Satyr Firedancer make an appearance on the sideboard for Boros Energy decks to kill their creatures? Chandra's Incinerator deck cannot be considered a meta call right?

Loving the content I hope your family member is feeling better. Im playing a similar in style list thats about 12 cards off in the main and a very open Sideboard at the moment. Some things ive noticed. Yes both vinelasher and bump are worth the black splash, but given that we always want to lead on a BR source t1 if we have anything to say about it. That way t2 or 3 we can weave vinelasher into our sequencing as its best to always get our triggers out of it. Ive got Xanders Lounge and Jetmirs Garden where you have the surveil lands so that I can support Tribal Flames fully. Also opens up the sb dramatically because 4 Leyline Binding cover so much of what wed usually fill the board with. I havent found skullcrack/searing blaze/R vortex or even phlage to be that helpful spellwise. Its almost like they are getting stranded in hand due to mana cost or timing. As for the sb, beside leyline binding and ex firecraft im open to all ideas and all colors, even double pip spells as with minor adjustments, a domain mana base thats set for RR at all times, does the work if we plan ahead. If you are okay with Tribal Flames doing max of 4 damage, you can get away with 1 triome and no other tapped lands, but for now im happy having a pair. I dont mind taking t1 off to fix mana first if needed, our spells all being cheaper allow us to multi spell and power through better as long as weve the mana. Flooding shouldnt be an issue with vinelasher and bump in the mix. Ill link my current decklist in another comment. Cant wait to see the next video!

Still watching at this point, but question, in match 1 game 2, why did we not lava spike the Karn after we attacked them to 6? Given the shape of our hand we can afford to spend that resource to remove theirs while we still technically have lethal or just shy of it, with an attack plus boros charm. Yes they can monument plus spell, but without the ring or karn they still have a pretty solid chance of dying there unless its spell after spell after spell, in which case we too would have time for roiling to come online. I wanted to take a moment and say Thank You @MtgNexusRed Because of your video content answering questions I had about Modern in general as well as Burn's place in it. After about 2 plus years of not playing the format in person, I just top 4'd my local Rcq with a more experimental take on the deck.
