I’m going with the Xpeng G6 since it’s about 20k cheaper than the Sealion7, plus it has solid tech for the price. The G6's ADAS system is pretty advanced, and it gets better over time through OTA updates, similar to Tesla. Xpeng and Tesla both give lifetime free 4G data, which is really useful as they collect driving data constantly, especially when there’s intervention in autopilot. This way, they’re always fine-tuning the algorithm to make driving safer and smarter. Xpeng also improved its voice assistant, “Hey Xpeng,” by using the X-GPT language model, making it much more responsive and interactive. On top of that, Xpeng is pushing boundaries in tech with stuff like robotics, the world’s first flying car, and an AI driving chip, showing they’re serious about being at the forefront of mobility innovation. It’s a bit like the Apple vs. Android situation. Xpeng & Tesla, like Apple, prefers to build almost everything in-house, whereas others EV brand, more like Android, outsources most core components.

@@wmhasbullah i got mixed info about the 4G for the car. Some SA said it's lifetime the other said free for now with 5GB monthly limit

We usually see this kind of option on higher end vehicles like the KIA EV9 GT - Line. But it would be nice to have that option at this price bracket as well.

The G6 Standard features a 190kW (255hp) electric motor while the G6 Long Range features a 210kW (282hp) motor. Give Joshua a call to find out if they accept trade in. BTW, Joshua is an SA not an SM.

Yup, it's pretty easy on the eyes. We only tested it for a while so we did not get to test that feature in that scenario. If you do get to test drive this beauty, try out this feature in that scenario you mentioned and let us know how it goes.

Yeah, that black goes well with the lights. 22kW OBC would be nice, for sure, like the Smart #3 premium and Brabus models.

Those are really good points you've made there, especially the omission of the HUD and the rear climate controls. It is a really nice car.

@@LynaVasyVoyage At this price point, it's a nice to have more so than an omission but, it seems some new affordable Chinese brands are providing either a HUD or driver display, not both. Not even the European brands provide these on similar sized vehicles, which costs a lot more. It is something nice to have.

@@waynerm002 BYD has HUD, digital instrument cluster and center screen for its top 2 Seal variants. We're going over in a couple of days to review the Sealion 7 to see what it offers.

We should have included an electric shade in our wishlist. Surprisingly, the Kia EV9 we tested earlier ( video will be out in a couple of days ) was cooler with the sunroof exposed.

Fortunately, Skynet is still just a courier company... right now. Let's hope it does not become self aware anytime soon.

Yeah, that would be a good addition.

You'll notice during the course of the video that at lower speeds and different road surfaces there is barely any noise. But once we hit highway speeds, the noise becomes more noticeable. Perhaps a change of tyre choice might solve the issue as suggested by a viewer.

Come to think of it, it does remind us of the Wish.

If you mean hill descent control then it has that feature. It also has roll-over mitigation.

@chgoh2649 Maybe you can use one paddle feature like an EV car. This car also has that feature. So at the same time, you can charge your batteries and save yourself from using the brake.

I think it's the road noise. Maybe need to change to a comfort tire. I also use this tire, and the road noise seems very loud.

We think in Malaysia, those in charge of marketing are pretty careful. Otherwise, they would have brought in many more models to our shores. They know that our market is small and at a certain price range, second hand value becomes a major factor. If cars from China prove to be reliable, their second hand value will not be in question. But that remains to be seen. As people who appreciate cars, we truly hope all automakers will strive to produce reliable vehicles. Thanks for your opinion, many share your concern.

Hi, for this model BYD M6 doesn't have a compartment to install the Dash-Cam like Seal or Dolphin. Yes, BYD M6 still has the MicroSD slot, for the most use are uploading Music, Video and photo that You can Screenshot through the Center Console For the Service Package, Yes you can buy before or after your car delivery. But I highly recommend before delivery

The common practice over here for many EV sellers is to provide free wall chargers to the first x number of customers or before a certain time (promo period). Some offer free service for x number of years, free sunroof cover, free V2L adaptor and even live charging credit at stipulated live charging stations. Sometimes they give discounts from RM5k to RM20k, especially during the last quarter of the year or right before a competitor model is launched in lieu of the other offers we just mentioned.
