Are they interchangeable?
@@BrilloBush yes, they are.
Are you selling that buzzer
I love that buzzing noise. I hate the chime ringing stuff.
I'm hoping to pick up a 2000-2002 Navigator soon. As they were basically the same (I feel like the only big difference was on the outside. I drool over how the Navigator looks) and I've practically watched every Navigator video possible, I'm starting to binge watch Expedition videos 😅
@@orochish532 the navigator was essentially just an expedition but had plush Towncar like captains chairs, large dual center consoles, more soft touch surfaces, etc. the navigator also had the option to use the 32 valve triton V8 while the expedition strictly used the 16 valve from 4.6 to 5.4 liters.
@nolanboyd720 I was actually unaware of the valve difference. I mean, I just assumed they shared the same 5.4 (I was no longer interested in the Expedition once I became obsessed with the Navigators style) I've seen, according to forums, the 5.4 of the time was a better pick than the 4.6. So, I never bothered learning about the 4.6. And... again, what I was interested in wasn't optioned with it anyway. I appreciate the knowledge drop.
Esta hermosa la camioneta y la pintura se ve perra tanto interiores como exteriores. Yo tengo una 1999 y 16 años con ella con motor 4.6 una chulada el motor sale muy bueno. Saludos amigo.
One of the best cars to own. I just got mine serviced at 206,000 miles and it runs well. I do need a new catalytic converter but im not changing it
My truck is nearly identical just a year older and tan.
I have a 91 ranger xlt, there is no dinger or buzzer, did it come with one and someone removed it? If not, can I put one in?
@@davidconley3341 yes, XLT trims and up come with a chime. XL trims come with a buzzer. If it was removed, the wiring harness should be there. It should be under the dash closer to the drivers side from the middle.
@nolanboyd720 okay tks, im the third owner and the original owner did multiple deals with the electric like clutch safety switch Kill key and changing the radio. Those are the only things I have found so far. But there is a bunch of unused connectors in the engine bay that I have no idea what they are.
Anyone know what hub caps those are?
@@nicknoble5253 they are stock ford caps with an Etsy Ford logo sticker on top.
la vidéo est vraiment cool j'apprecie ce model de ford cependant il ne serais pas trop demandé de mettre une petite musique folk en fond
Next video: how to retrieve keys from a locked vehicle! 😆😆
How many miles does that one have on it?
@@willieswift9580 I believe about 198,000 when I posted the video
is it a good vehicle im looking at one this weekend 1998 to buy for my dad
@@Laura-co7ou I personally think they’re great. The 5.4 and 4.6 2 valve tritons were plenty reliable. The only downside is cheap interior quality.
@@nolanboyd720 I have a big 1/18 diecast model of this eddie bauer in your video in my room. It looks just like it. Black , tan
Congrats on the Crosstrek man! I love Subies. I came from your RAV4 video. Definitely worth the switch going to standard transmission. I have a 97 RAV4 (fwd, 129k miles) in standard and it’s a little hard to part ways haha
@@neil8398I miss my RAV4, but I love my new car! A little underpowered but fun to drive. 129,000 miles is not much at all! Definitely a plus with the manual. Wish my RAV4 had one, probably would’ve kept it longer.
Meu amigo qual é ó valor desta belezura pois é muito lindo beleza
I like a chime better than the buzzer. If I had one of those older Ford F-series trucks, I would definitely look for an aftermarket chime to replace the buzzer and hopefully with the more modern Ford chime.
Personally I love the buzzer from a 96 Dodge, wish I could put one in my 91 ranger...
Omg thank you! LOL
Are the rear vents on the console an option? Mine doesn't have that, just the one above your head.
@@TheKevinChaz yes, they were standard however in the Eddie Bauer.
I have a 1998 Ford Expedition Eddie Bauer lol. My doesn't have a sunroof and I have different rims than yours. It was optioned different.
@@TheKevinChaz my mistake, I was under the impression that all Eddie Bauers had the fancy features. All Eddie Bauers I have seen at the junk yard had them. Maybe it just meant leather and a center console.
@@nolanboyd720 I looked it up and it depends on whether or not you have the sunroof option. I have rear AC control above where the sunroof would be a long with a console with garage door opener holders and sunglass holders.
Hey bro, I have a Ranger just like yours, but when I bought mine they removed the catalytic converter and it is so unstable that every time I start the truck it speeds up and calms down and
I turn it back on and it's revving and slow and it's consuming gas.
How Are You Doin

Thinking about getting a 4cyl one but cant decide which gen to look at. the gas mileage of a lighter body is appealign but something about the character of these is just unmatched. beautiful property btw wow.

Owned one and it was my favorite small truck. I owned a 1987 S-10, 1994 and a 1996 Toyota truck and have owned a 1985, 1997, and 1999 Nissan hardbody. This Ford was the best riding and comfortable truck out of all of them, and was reliable for about 150k miles before small things went wrong. The 1985 Nissan was 40 years old when I sold it so it was the longest lasting truck and the 1994 Toyota with 22-RE the most reliable. I still would buy the Ford Ranger over all of them today if it were still available.
My 1994 f350xlt dump with a 5.8w c6 3speed had that same chime on the old trucks
Bout to buy me one today wish me luck
Oh yeah bro Good luck 🍀 specially on the gas ⛽️🤑
😊👍❤️
I had a 1992 regular cab long bed with the 4.0 v6 same color interior and white paint.
Really cool. I have a 1992 as well, sea green regular cab, only 59k original miles. My dad has one that's almost identical.
I have an 87 ford f150 XLT Lariat. The chime comes on with the lights on when the rig is not running (which is good). but when I put the key in the ignition, no chime or ding. aren't they on the same circuit? perhaps previous owner somehow jimmy-rigged it to stop the key buzzer?
@@mackendw I’m gonna assume the little flap that closes the circuit got worn out in your ignition tumbler.
@@nolanboyd720 I just replaced the turn signal switch a few days ago. that little flap being single wire just up from the hazzard switch? I had to bend that slightly inward to get the block in place to put the bolt on for it. I read that guys would put tape over the electrical piece in the tumbler to stop the connection. That....I did not check on mine. perhaps I should take out the key tumbler and inspect it. thx.
I have a 89 f150 lariat same body style as yours, and on mine the chime does work, but it has to be dead quite or you’ll never hear it, it’s very faint. I’m fine with that though as I find it annoying. In fact on my newer 2000 f250 I was able to find the wire for the chime when the key is in the ignition and the door is open. This is super annoying cause the keys never leave the ignition, so I cut the wire. I think it was pink with a white tracer. Best part is chime still works to let you know if you forget to turn the headlights off.
@@buddyweiser8508 working again. I took apart the whole column to clean things up and retime the gear (had no ACC position). This fixed it. Now have a key in ignition chime when the door is open. I think it was grease/dirt build up inside the column that was preventing the circuit from working.
I had a white one years ago with the 4.6 Triton that thing was a tank, i sold before shipping out to the Army and been regretting it ever since.
I love ford vehicles in general. Especially the f150 trucks they build, but their expeditions these ones from 98 are my favorite
@samuelhabakuk8265 yeah they're the best year in my opinion especially the ones with the 4.6 triton
10:01 @@samuelhabakuk8265
As a 95 f250 driver I’d much rather have the buzzer than the DING DING DING DING DING
We got one for a runaround car runs great and has a v10 it is very loud
So your mom drives the 2021 Honda pilot Ellie
man i miss that old ranger power steering whine
The last of the box design rangers until they went all rounded in 93.
I didnt even know these came without 4wd.
Pretty nice truck bro you’re lucky 👍
I also have a 1998 Ford expedition mines blue and it's a 5.4l v8
I just recently bought a 92 Ford Ranger with a 3.0 V6 with a 5-speed manual transmission for 1500 dollars from a tow yard. It's runs like a champ, no overheating, and no oil burning starts up every time . Im never getting rid of it . Your truck is nice bro keep up the good work !
Can you do a night drive on this ford expedition?
Thats one of my dream dailys. They looked soo good in that metallic red with the strip goin down the sides
Idk why I love these little trucks
Did the big Ford truck at the start of this video originally come with a chime or a buzzer since normally XLT models for the big Ford trucks from 1987-91 would come with a chime instead of a buzzer?
I think it did come with a chime originally because it is an XLT Lariat. Maybe it was switched out sometime throughout its life.
@@nolanboyd720 But most XLT trucks from 1987-91 no longer have a working chime module at all so the owner may have put in a classic buzzer just to have a warning sound for the key in the ignition.
@@Jac2Mac yeah, most likely
Hey can you take a look at my ranger?
Sure!
Looks pretty clean for its age! Good find!
Thanks your video motivated me to buy it i hope to complete the project how is yours doing ? When is the update coming
@@OldJunk822 I did sell it a bit ago, but I did buy a manual 89’ F-150 that I will do a tour video on soon.
@@nolanboyd720 sweet man will be waiting for it turned on notification 🔔 is it your next project?
The only reason I found and watched this video is my grandpa had an 80s Ford Ranger and that buzzer is nostalgic for me. Reminds me of summer rides down to the hardware store with papa.
