You can really feel the sorrow and disappointment in the music. Even if the lyrics aren't 100% accurate, the music itself really sells the story of his lore.

The DLC lore finally makes Rykard make sense! Rykard is a son of Radagon, Radagon is Marika and Marika is three things: A Shaman, a Numen and an Empyrean turned God. Shaman flesh merges with others once severely damaged. We see this first in Godrick, who Cuts off his own arm, then merges it with a dragon head and it must have happened in Rykard too, who's flesh merged with the insides of the Goddevouring Serpent.

Fan made or not, reading the first few lines after playing Shadow of the Erdtree blew my mind. "Our mother, Overshadowed by the [Erd]Tree, Excluded by your grace", holy s**t, this is more or less what happened in the beginning of the story trailer of Shadow of the Erdtree. I'm even more convinced that in that opening scene Marika betrayed the hornsent by killing Gloam Eyed Queen and claiming the title of God for herself through Gate of Divinity. Bruh the implications of these lyrics, written over 2 years ago are insane for me.
