That first perfect tip my friend, that third concave base is also very good friend, that little forked one is beautiful, it hurts that broken concave base, wow you did very well my friend. BLESSINGS ALWAYS.
Thank you coyote, it was a nice time out there. Blessings to you friend
Nice finds, congrats! New sub.
Thank you! I appreciate it
Killer finds! I’m in Arkansas too. We need to link up sometime, I have a few spots around my neck of the woods.
Loving it.
Sweet finds!!!!
Thanks! It felt good just to be out there. The results made it even better!
Daggone !! Wearin em out !! 😎👊⛏⛏🍀
I’ve been pretty fortunate! I almost have too many stretches of different rivers and creeks to hunt. All it takes is 2 or 3 washouts a year and I have enough to keep me busy for the whole year.
@artifactsofarkansas5549 That's a terrible problem to have !! 😄👍
@ I can’t complain 😂
@@artifactsofarkansas5549 ✌🍀
Great stuff brother
Thanks brother. I’ve started to learn new stretches of creeks and rivers and it’s really starting to pay off
My husband found a broken bird tip arrow head - he looked about 10 more minutes and found the missing piece.
Finally he has came from out the cave!😂 still finding some perty cool rocks. Take care
When I hear the sound of rain I crawl out of my cave to search the creeks and rivers 😂
@@artifactsofarkansas5549 👊🏼😂
Holy smokes man, that was alot of good finds
Thanks! I definitely didn’t expect to have such luck
Beautiful saves , congratulations
Thank you!
Nice finds good luck
Thank you!
Super cool find! I have only found one complete arrowhead so far, but many many flakes, preforms. and tools. Here in Scott County AR. where about are you hunting? Thanks for sharing it with us
Awesome! Fellow Arkansas/Creator, made a new sub for life loved the video liked & shared! Have a great day!
Thank you! I just gave you a sub too, I hope you have a great day as well.
Heck of a haul, man.
Thanks man. It was definitely a good hunt.
Awesome finds
Thanks Mandy!
Nice finds
Thank you! I just gave you a sub. Good luck on your next hunt.
@ i appreciate you subscribing. I just lost a sub about 5 minutes ago. Im getting good at that.
Awesome finds brother, i hope you keep digging them out of there for years to come
Thank you! Definitely a lot more videos to come
As always some good uns! Is this the same cave you have dug in for years? Just crazy to think how so many feet of dirt warshed into a cave, covered up and left everything in place. What a great spot. How old do you suppose most this stuff is? Take care
Yes this is that same cave. It is crazy how much buildup was in there, it was a lot of work. We found stuff from just a few hundred years ago during historical times all the way back to early archaic. I would say the majority of the stuff there was middle archaic, but a fairly good spread.
@@artifactsofarkansas5549 what a great spot with such a wide variety. Must have been a special area. I appreciate it. 🫲🏼Very interesting. Best of luck. Take care.
Wow incredible drill the width of your hand, all those you took out of the wall are beautiful pieces. A great day my great friend. BLESSINGS ALWAYS.
It’s the biggest drill I’ve ever found, I may get it restored. Blessing to you as well my friend!
That buildup your seeing the points in is Caliche. Simply put, it's calcium buildup.
Yessiree, I’ve heard it called that as well.
Thanks for sharing. American Indian Artifacts @closertohome-b7m
Are you actually FROM Arkansas?
Born and raised. Why do you ask?
exact same stuff, nearly identical, that i find by the bucketful along the muddy boggy river in atoka county, SE Oklahoma.
I hope you keep finding them
Cool find in that cave deposit 👍🏻
Thanks man! It’s a pretty cool way to find one.
@ 👍🏻
That broke one at 4:30 is very intriguing 🧐. The brakes are so straight and looks almost intentional. Very interesting
Isn’t that strange? I’ve only found a couple that were broken like that in my whole life.
@@artifactsofarkansas5549 think it could possiblyhave been made into that and used as a tool?
@@JoseyWales-edI doubt they would break it like that intentionally, but there’s a good chance they still used it a little bit after the break. Who knows though
@@artifactsofarkansas5549 maybe for scraping a flat spot on a limb or who knows. Just don’t see breaks so straight usually. Either way cool piece
Always a pleasure. I would assume that’s a perty old site if yer finding points in compacted soil rock. Take care buddy
Thank you! It is a very old site
Awesome finds man, hope you stay in em
So where in Arkansas are you? I hunt where I'm at in nw Arkansas and never find anything. Have no clue where to go.
I hunt north central, northwest, and sometimes central.
It’s always exciting to see your new content. Keep posting your finds they are so cool!
Thank you! I appreciate you very much
Thanks for the nice video.Always glad to see your posting.I'm in Philippines.Stompinhg Washington, Crawford, Franklin counties.Next time i get state side i'll do my best to give you a shout out.Loads of artifa in Arkansas
Thank you very much. I always appreciate you watching and commenting. This is an awesome state for artifact hunting, gotta love Arkansas.
Thanks for the fast reply.Grest touch of home.Loads of stuff is still lost.Tool, different types of points, and materials.Untold stories yet to be discovered.Mulberry Creak washed out few years ago.Took out 30 feet in width.Settled after 4-5 months with new gravel bar.Great hammerstones and adzes and bowls came out.Remarkable heavy stoneware.Hope to see more from you and your channel soon.
@@larrymiller672I would’ve loved to be there when that happened on the creek! Thank you! A lot more to come
Nice finds!! I'm almost 50 years old and have been involved with artifacts most of my life. Way, way back in the day my entire family was involved with many hunts and excavations. My stepdad has found numerous pieces that are in several archaeology magazines and has several pieces that are in museums of various Arkansas colleges. He was responsible for finding numerous ceremonial head pots(plain & red/white painted), ceremonial pendants, body shaped pottery jugs and much more! I have many fond memories of growing up and helping preserve history. Unfortunately, the areas we were primarily active have been destroyed for land leveling for crop production.....with no regard for history. Can you please give me a general description of what part of the state you were finding these? I'm not asking for your secret honey hole! Lol. I live in the very N east corner, but If i had to guess I'd say you're either the N west 1/3 of the state or the N central 1/3 of the state?? Good channel. Keep up the good work!
That’s totally awesome and what a great way to grow up. My father is an archeologists and he taught me how to find artifacts. I also have fond memories of growing up finding them. Some of the places I remember going are also destroyed. I typically hunt north central, northwest, and central. This video was recorded in northwest.
Man that's a killer productive shelter you got there. Congratz on the great points
Thank you! Its definitely one of those places that you never forget. I’m grateful for all the times I’ve had there.
Awesome finds brother, you've got some good dig sites. Keep on em
Thanks y’all! Definitely some special places, more to come!
Is this public or private land you’re on?
Private land. You must be on private land to dig legally.
Watching you find artifacts never ceases to amaze me , such nice finds. ❤
Thank you! I appreciate you watching and commenting
Nice stuff man. You need to get you a wiggle pick. They're an arrowhead digger's best friend.
Thanks man! I got a wiggle pick soon after this. These are old videos that I never got to post. The wiggle pick definitely made a difference!
That bone tool is great, wow 3:24 full tip and it's beautiful. Another full 4:25. Another bone tool, very good friend. NICE TREASURES IN THAT CAVE. AUUUUUUUU.
Thank you coyote! That cave produced quality points for several years. It took a long time to excavate. Blessings to you and Pepe
Great finds and craftsmanship! Man that grey one with broke tip was some beautiful very unique material.
I love that one too, a true heartbreaker but still awesome. I might get that one restored
The one at 4:01 looks so cool
Thank you! I think it’s still amazing too even without the tip.
Very cool artifacts/points
Thank you!
I’m surprised you don’t keep an eye out for diamonds
I’ve been to the crater of diamonds a couple times but still haven’t found any. I doubt the natives messed with them much. Crystals and other pretty stones are more attracting and much more abundant.
@ if diamonds are in the crater than who’s to say they can’t be found everywhere else? Hope you find one one day. Don’t look for shiny when looking for diamonds. FYI
all found in one day ?
Two different days. I spent about 2 or 3 hours each day, I would’ve looked more if I had the time.
that kingsnake was almost the highlight of the show, but the points take it.
Thanks man! It was a great time. The snake is actually a black rat snake, I find a lot of them around here. My family had chickens growing up and they would always be after the chicken eggs.
@@artifactsofarkansas5549 oh cool I guess I don't know the difference
@@Unk13DaveThey look somewhat similar. I’m sure the bite feels similar too, I’ve probably been bit over 100 times by black rat snakes.
@@artifactsofarkansas5549 at least its not a hog nose, it would have smelled like death.
Great hunt !
Thank you!
Beautiful!😊😊😊
Thank you!
I’ve only found one artifact in my life and you find such cool ones casually 😅 these are so nice!
Certain waterways can really produce after some good rain, you never know what you might find. I hope you find some more artifacts some time! I appreciate you watching and commenting.
I hunt a lot of creeks one out of 10 maybee water polished
Probably pretty similar numbers here in general. A couple of my hunting spots have rougher and more water worn ones than others but I don’t hunt them as often and try to stay to the spots where I find the best ones
@artifactsofarkansas5549 yes always hunt the spots where you have found the best and always remember you never find them all
Nice pile of finds!🏹
Thanks man! Good luck to you out there 🏹
Why don’t the artifacts have creek stain on them? Every rock in the creek has stain except all the points. You have to admit that’s fishy.
Most rocks in the creek actually don’t have a lot of stain on them after a flood. These have washed out recently. A couple of them have slight staining and the creek wear on some of them is clear as day. You may need some better glasses my friend.
I hate when people don’t just use their head. When you artifact hunt a creek after a rain most of the stuff you will find just got washed into the creek out of the bank, that’s why it doesn’t have a creek stain. People say the same about bottles, you might find a few that were in the bottom of the creek for a year or two but money have recently been washed out of their resting place in the dirt.
@@BigfootBottler-rc8te Thats exactly right! That’s why we look after floods so it washes stuff out. Sometimes I get lucky and find creek stained stuff right after a flood, there’s no doubt that some pieces get stained under the rocks then turned over and revealed in the flood, but I find most of my creek stained stuff once the water has gone down a lot. Especially when we’re almost in drought stage and I can finally search the deeper holes that weren’t accessible before.
Some types of rock won’t allow growth is what I’ve notice. It’s just the way it is. Only a select few arrowhead materials will stain, the rest won’t and stay shining bright and obvious.
@@OuterBanksArrowheads-n6tI’ve noticed that most of the time the artifacts take longer for growth to accumulate vs other rocks. Most of my hunts like this video are right after floods anyway so not much stain in general.
