    So let me ask, are you still using it? I just purchased a couple for my 2023 T-680. I’m currently getting 7.8-8.4 mpg loaded and 12.6 empty. I wanted something that will keep my engine and after treatment cleaner while helping if not boosting mpg. Depending on wgt of load I will travel anywhere from 65-69 mph. Thanks for any help you can offer.

    • @ArkansasInfidel
      @ArkansasInfidel Місяць тому

      It didn't noticeably add mpg's to offset its cost. But the truck felt it ran better and pulled a little.more smoothly.

    ArkansasInfidel! ha ha! even your handle is very creative play on words. Man, I was looking at my catalogs, at videos, and some folks are willing to spend $400+ for ruby sharpening stones or $1000 for some sharpening device??? Well, good for them if they can afford it-I cannot. So I wanted to thank you for your fine demonstration of a sharper edge with a belt sander and your video kicks ass! You explain everything quite well so even a dumbass like me gets it! Thank you my friend!

    So its a LOT more raspy when gutted compared to just deleted right? My S5 V8 has insane rasp and i guess the previous owner just gutted it without welding in pipes.

      In my case it was more aggressive deleted that with a gutted muffler. I like a modest increase In sound and rumble but not too loud to attract attention.

    Cars CAN be used as weapons. There have been attacks where terrorists have driven a vehicle through a crowd of people to intentionally inflict harm. There was one attack in France where 85 people were killed with a SINGLE vehicle, that is more deaths than many mass shootings.

    Patrice was a brilliant comedian and a man who stood for what he believed in, but he’s just wrong here. Nobody has been actively murdering people with golden shower fetishes for thousands of years. The entire gay pride movement was born out of oppression. They didn’t riot in the village for the fun of it. Being gay isn’t a choice. Saying that being born gay is different than being born black is wrong. The idea, of course, is that black people cant hide the fact that they’re black. But if we wanna get on a real hyperbolic level, isn’t that kind of not true? Hypothetically they could. It’s like me trying to tell a black person “well, you could just wear a mask and cover 100% of your skin in public, so you DO have a choice as to whether to be black or not”. Like.. no. You’re still black, other people just can’t see it now and everyone kind of thinks you’re a freak. The world has told gay people for all of human history that they better keep that shit to themselves because if they don’t they will be ostracized, ridiculed, physical harmed and even killed. So this idea that gay people are forcing the issue is a fallacy. It’s everyone but gay people who have forced the issue. Gay people just decided enough was enough. If you’re gonna fuck with us all, we’re gonna go balls to the wall to force a paradigm shift within culture. It’s textbook civil rights activism. A textbook written for modern times by black people. We’re just following it because it’s better than being beaten murdered and abandoned. And maybe it leads to a better life. Fuck anyone who finds that too inconvenient for them and fuck anyone who wants to paint that as people forcing culture to accept arbitrary things. It isn’t arbitrary. It’s our lives.

    I’m gay, and I’d even go further than Patrice in that even having sex with another man does not make someone gay. (Talking about maybe once or twice, it’s another story if it’s recurring.) It takes more than that. And I also agree that being black and being gay cannot be compared (I’m both).

    I’ve seen other videos say that one needs to have the leather belly traveling in the down direction, not in the standard up direction as you’ve done here. The concern is that one will catch an edge and cut the leather belt. You obviously don’t subscribe to that idea. Thoughts?

    • @ArkansasInfidel
      @ArkansasInfidel 3 роки тому

      Unless I'm misunderstanding your question, the belts on this machine only rotate in one direction(downward).

    • @johnvgig
      @johnvgig 3 роки тому

      @@ArkansasInfidel yes, I have one and that’s true. However if you flip the machine onto its face (the part that’s normally used to sharpen a knife onto the table) the backside of the belt is now horizontal to the table the belt is now moving away from you and putting a knife on the belt now would have the belt moving away from the edge of the knife. In other videos suggesting this belt direction owners either fid this, or installed a dc motor that can be reversed, by a switch

    • @ArkansasInfidel
      @ArkansasInfidel 3 роки тому

      @@johnvgig I see. To me it seems to over-complicate the method I'm doing to a degree. If there is a link to video showing this method so I can fully grasp what you're sharing that'll be good too. If it's a better method, I'm no above using it. I have yet to catch an edge or tip with the method I've demonstrated here. Not to say it couldn't happen.

    • @johnvgig
      @johnvgig 3 роки тому

      @@ArkansasInfidel thanks for the reply. Especially the info that you’ve not caught an edge or destroyed your stropping belts. REALLY good to know. That was the main warning the other video was concerned about. I’ll send a link, no time right now, heading off to work. Also a little unsure how to send a link for a UA-cam video, but I’ll figure it out. Thanks for being so responsive. jg

    Excellent video. On your leather belt some of the compound has turned black. Same thing has happened with mine and it likes to stick to the blade. Any suggestions on how to prevent this?

    • @ArkansasInfidel
      @ArkansasInfidel 3 роки тому

      Thank you. I always add fresh compound when I strop. Usually when it stick is when I'm letting the blade stay on the leather for a good while. It doesn't get hot enough to mess with the metal but will soften the buffing compound and stick to the knife edge. I usually rubb if off on the wet paper towel with a good amount of down force with a passive movement so to disallow the edge to dig into anything.
