Hey mate, not on this game no. You choose your captain for the week and he stays as your captain for the whole first round of fixtures. (match day/gameweek) Once deadline passes for MD1 only the team you selected get you points. Any changes you make after the first deadline will be to set your team up for MD2 On Dream Team anyway.

Yeah i've got a feeling there's going to be a clear template with a couple of cheap differentials being the difference for people. Captaincy and Boosters may play a bigger part because of it

@@DreamTeamProfessor broja the chelsea attacker is returning from a 1 year injury, even though he hasnt shown much with the clubs he plays really good with the national team, also the matches we lost were more only due to euforia of being top grp and comming from a 2-0 on poland and 3-0 chez republic , and the looses of friendlies helped bring the players down to earth haha, well maybe we place 4th , but we have a decent chance of beating all of those teams if they underestimate us and finish first , we are a real dark horse, most of our player play in serie A, la liga or top teams in other regions, and also our captain djimshiti just won uefa europa league with atalanta, same for asllani with Inter

The sun dreamteam has been going for around 30 years and I haven't seen any others apart from dreamteam Tonic and ffstuff with enough passion to help people using your valuable time in the process. I would suggest a cheap alternatives video. For example Dominik Szoboszlai may notbhe the must expensive mid yet everything in Hungary goes through him so for bonus points he should be great. Or the German full back for example

Yeah it’s a weird scenario the budget feels tight so it’s hard to pick everyone. But I think we might see a lot cram the same premiums and then the enablers might be similar too. The knock out stages usually trips a lot of people up for transfers including myself. Usually end up backing teams too much then they get eliminated

Yeah I don't think Palmer will start to be honest. I carried on my research and I may be willing to backtrack on Musiala, it looks like he will be incredible for bonus and I may start to favour over Gundo potentially. Will Van De Ven definitely be playing? Not sure he's nailed on

Initial thinking is that I may use goal boost and 12th man potentially in the groups. For same reason you're saying, weaker teams in groups likely higher scores and more goals. Thinking possibly max captain in KOs again like you say less goals in knock outs and then could be harder to predict who gets the odd goals that may decide games so Max Cap could help. Still early days yet tho not pin pointed players or weeks to use them

I think i'd possibly try the German double up. Just been doing my prep for group B and the Albania game may not be as easy as I first thought. Chiesa does look a good option though.

Yeah mate I had a nice couple days off rest between gameweek 36 and 37 😂 Lucky you, I’m still struggling with picking enablers. Been some more players added to game now. Yeah I was having a similar thought on boosters. I’m not sure I see the benefit holding them back with the easier games coming early. I think with trying to predict MD3 we just need to wait and see don’t we. Always some upsets pop up. Whatever I spend my 12th on it has to be an upgrade on Darwin this season 😂

Hopefully it's useful! Mostly just my thoughts, likely other good ways to approach it but after thinking a bit about it. I think this is how i'll go about the group stages.

@@DreamTeamProfessor it’s well thought out and kind of reinforces my thinking behind team selection and transfers etc. in terms of boosters I’m thinking of using the goal bonus one in gw2. 1. Will have a better idea of starting players. 2. More games/ easier fixtures to target than k.o stages 3. Might get some dead rubber games in gw3 with some maybe already qualified

Hi mate so there's no subbing players in or out each day on this dream team game. So it will be whoever the highest scoring player is in your team for the gameweek/matchday gets double points. Hope that makes sense.

@@DreamTeamProfessor thanks a lot for the help. But if I sub my player out the next day (but in the same matchday) will they still be eligible for max captain if they are the highest point scorer during the matchday? Love the vids btw!

@SB-sr2tr i see what you mean, just checking you wasn’t confusing with the UEFA Euro game as dream team you can’t sub within match days. If you play max captain it lasts for the whole match day so even if you try to transfer a player out that’s highest scoring they’ll still get you the max points for the match day you played it

@@DreamTeamProfessor thanks mate. But just to be clear, you can use subs during the matchdays as far as I am aware? For example, first matchday is 3 subs

So once match day 1 begins (Germany Scotland) your team is locked for the full match day. you will have 3 transfers that you can use to tinker with your team, but any transfers you make won’t take effect until the start of match day 2. As soon as that deadline passes, your transfers will lock in and you’ll get another 3 to use up to Matchday 3 deadline. You won’t be able to make changes mid gameweek/matchday like the previous World Cup version of dream team
