My mom was 11 and saw some of it when they came out of the basement in the pauses of the battle and the aftermath. Both sides lost a lot of people. The streets were littered with dead bodies, Hungarians and even more Soviet soldiers. Funnily the crowd befriended the Soviet soldiers who were already in Budapest, so Soviets brought in new units to start the battle. Also Hungarian communist snipers, like a third party, regularly hunted many innocent civils on the streets going for bread for their families.

The English people wanted the Strongest and most powerful King, which most thought was William the Bastard, He was actually invited by the English people to be our new King of England and was then aided by many Englishmen when he arrived on our shores until he took the throne. It did not matter if they chose him over an English King, it mattered that England would now be led by the most powerful King in Europe, who would raise a Great army and help us conquer other lands. We do get sick of foreigners telling us our own history, who aren't actually aware that the English chose him and our reasons for helping him take the throne over the others. The English soldiers fighting to stop him were being paid by the other contenders, but not really supported by all the English at all... ultimately the English people made William the Conquerer King of England, he would not of succeeded without their help !!

McClellan’s plan to attack Richmond was sabotaged by Lincoln. The original plan included a 40000 man army to attack from the North. Lincoln withdrew these men foolishly to protect Washington (from what?). When a plan is 3 parts and you pull out one, it is difficult if not impossible to realize.

*Yes, he absolutely was that bad, the opposing generals knew exactly who he was and used that against him to great affect. He lost or retreated on several occasions and then had the indignant audacity to run against Lincoln for president who he continually disobeyed and disrespected. When he was finally fired, the Union was able to eventually recover from his miscalculations and timidity.*

The “battle” was only hours yes, but the siege and encounter was 13 days. That is what is meant by “held out for 13 days”. And you are correct they were fighting to restore the former constitution that allowed slavery for them.

6th Period. Pax Mongolica is pretty interesting. From being the largest land empire in History,to breaking up,to being annexed by the Chinese until it gained Independence in 1911 in the collapse of the Qing Empire, then being annexed by China again in 1919,then having a Communist Uprising in 1921 and being a Soviet Puppet State. Then it had an Uprising in 1932,supressed by the Communist, thrn wanting the Soviet to annex it,then the Mongolian Revolution of 1990,leading to rhe Downfall of the Communist Government in 1992. Now it is some country that is the least-densely popualted in the World, where most Mongols live in China, and not Mongolia itself, and being some arid nation on thr Steppes of Eurasia. Kinda surprising it was once the strongest nation in the World. ua-cam.com/video/QGTTF4sq1kc/v-deo.htmlsi=bwsYc3QjDV4STB1j

Up against over 170 years of propaganda from both the Lincolnites and lost cause fan boys of Lee. Treat yourself to a different perspective. Then you can give Mac his due or continue to destroy his reputation as they have done.

did the Mongols develop Cold Fusion or discover the cure for cancer? what scientific or technological advances did any of these folks leave as a legacy? what contributions to the Arts did any of them make? great paintings, plays, poetry, symphonies? can someone explain how the study of these people is relevant for those of us living in the present? their history just seems to be a never ending parade of warlords and aggression. no rise of democratic republics or industrial revolutions or Renaissance! Mongol invasions were a huge step back for civilization as a whole. the Mongols destroyed flourishing civilizations like no one before or since. they engaged in destruction and extermination. they murdered men women and children when it was completely unnecessary. in their march of conquest they destroyed numerous hospitals, libraries and centers of learning. the ruins of cities like Baghdad, Aleppo, Kiev, Riazan and Merv who never recovered from the Mongol destruction. bear mute testimony. i totally agree with Professor C P Fitzgerald. the Mongols were the pre-industrial equivalent of atomic war. They destroyed flourishing cities and regions. who were the Mongol equivalents of Archimedes, Ptolemy, Al-Khwarizmi, Aristotle, Copernicus, Omar Khayyam, da Vinci or Pasteur ? there is a reason after Mongol power collapsed they were reduced back to the insignificant group they had been before their war across Eurasia.

I studied Arts, Social Science & Divinity at Dundee Uni, Scotland. What post-modernist drivel you talk mo chara. It saddens me you are teaching Middle Schoolers. 2000 years of history and you think Christians are afraid of Paganism because they don't understand it, seriously? The media have pushed paganism, while deflating Christianity. Media have shaped our minds against Christianity, while promoting anything other than. Symbols are discussed in the bible, modern "bad" people have not misused them, they are ancient. The people who use these symbols are influenced by books, then others watch the media and get ideas from those who know more about the exoteric. Christianity gave us our values, take away Christianity you take away our values, this is evident all around us. IF we didn't have Christian values, we would be just like every other non Christian dump, Saudi, China etc. This is painful, slán.

Hey. What were your intentions then? I studied religion for 16ish years, and i was an atheist when I embarked on the journey. I studied Islam before Christianity, as I thought I knew what I needed to know about that fake religion. The only bias was I set out to learn Christianity to disprove it. Even so, with that perspective, I did not come to the conclusion you come to regarding Christians/Religion. Islam was demonstrably false, if it wasn't I would be a muslim. As for Christians, many I know, know about the occult & symbols. We know what witches like, masons like etc. We know their ancient meanings. We don't fear these symbols out of ignorance. What we fear is the truth about pagan religions, they, mainly concerned human sacrifice. The whole point of being asked to sacrifice his child in the bible is God showing him God doesn't require human sacrifice, like all the other religions. From the Middle East to Scotland, to South America, human or baby sacrifice was the norm. Maybe it is because my education was in the 89s/90s, but all I see in the education system now is a left wing mind set that accepts postmodernism as valid. I was pointing out his and that you must take the same head that wrote this into the classroom. My uncle's a headmaster, my aunty was a head mistress, my grandfather(100) still marks the Higher exams. They all puke at the modern school system. Truth is relative in 2023 I suppose. Any way, I didn't mean to take this out on you, I saw your vid in my feed, thought I would learn from it, but didn't. Have a good day/night mo chara. @@HistoryArmada

You think all of the religions are the same because they are similar in some ways. Most have a reference to golden ratio in some way, for example.. But this is a deception. Paganism and Judeo Christianity are not the same.. We are not worshiping the same God in different ways. God is a mental construct, a spirit. And the only way to obtain that spirit is through the embracing of Jesus, period. What you are doing to eating the apple. And the apple is evil. Not good for your soul.. This has all happened before. That is why we have all of this old occult stuff. But most folks with a bit of since figure it out. Just go read Matthew, Mark, Luke and John, and then compare that to all these other fake god faiths. One last point to make - If all of the people that are into a certain faith are dressed in black, angry, feel alienated, etc.., this should be a huge red flag. Time to pull your head out of your butt.

Xtians always think that their way is the only way and that everyone else is just too stupid to realize it. If it wasn't such a destructive and sad way of thinking, it would be funny.

"For all of the gods of the gentiles are devils." - Psalm 95/96:5 THAT'S the issue. You all deny the basis of reality and wind up worshiping yourselves. I get your desire to create reality for yourselves, I really do--I'm among the worst of deviants/reprobates and find the offering of my will extraordinarily difficult--but you can't will existence to be different. It is not a new insight to say that Christianity has horribly impacted Paganism, not just in American history but in all history. Nor that media has continually painted Pagans in a bad light. I think it’d be more interesting to note just how much draw and growth both have brought to Paganism. Witches in particular tend to be shown as mysterious, powerful, and… well, magical. Even if shown as morally ambiguous. It certainly captures imagination and interest.
