An idiot’s guide on how to proxy 30k models into 40K
Переглядів 21 тис.8 місяців тому
Enjoy my first terrible edited video, this one was procrastinated for for a while now. Enjoy and take care
30k terminators can proxy as chaos space marine terminators. (fallen anyone?)
cataphractii terminator armour is vroom vrooom vrooom
hol up bladeguard for breachers? BOYZ I KNOW WHAT WE ARE DOING TODAY oh wait thats forge world resin 😔
5:21 if you play deathwatch like i do you can proxy breachers as Deathwatch veterans equiped with 1 sheild and one boltgun which is a legitimate loadout.
The sergeant can take a long vigil ranged weapon and that could act as the grav gun on breachers
@@SolVoltalix40K that's a good idea
My God, the heresy model kits look a whole lot better than the 40 K ones.
I just use my 40k world eaters as 30k proxies. Nobody seems to complain and we just pretend were playing siege of terra era. I have a shitload of berzerkers and eightbound/exalted and just proxy them as ravagers or legionaires and use my hellbrutes as dreadnoughts. I would start a horus heresy WE army but it’s nearly impossible to get all the upgrade and legion bits for them without paying 2-5$ PER SINGLE PIECE on ebay since GW can’t be bothered to keep anything I want in stock. The only 30k models I have is 2 squads of red butchers because for whatever reason we don’t have WE specific terminators yet. I also kitbashed fabius bile into a berzerker surgeon/WE apothecary. Personally I think it makes more sense canonically to have 40k world eaters as 30k WE. They fell pretty quickly to khorne and I think it is very fitting for both games. But I never play competitively I just like to collect, build and paint and play when I can.
I turned MKVI marines into Legionaries. Added chaos bits from terminator and raptor boxes to make them chaosy. Plus the MKVI is still a drequently used armor in 40K meaning the MKVI is actuallt canon proper unlike the other power armor sets. Albeit some Liyalist chapters prefer using the old reliable armors after surviving the Heresy era. One example being the Imperial Fists which many of its members still use MKIII as it served them well during the heresy combined with their "iron is might" beliefs while betting their lives on it.
I want to use cataphracti as terminator proxies, but I'm worried about tournaments not letting me use them.
Mark 3 iron original is the best
mark x and mark 7 is the best armor in w40k universe
I bet you think funkopops are great too
Gravis marine go brrrr
I love the video but could you not also take breathers as heavy intercessors
the way you say iron reminds me of norm macdonald
Hearing ultrakill threw me off
I guess I’ll have to figure out the tanks on my own.
Spartan = repulsor
ultrakill music spotted, sub earned
Showing this to a friend so I a tyranid player have more interesting models to eat
A true tyranid players mind set.
you should do one but with the chapters
Great idea!
dude, I absolutely love Gravis armor and how it looks. it’s not even because it’s better than terminators, if they were given toughness 6 and gravis was left at 5 I could not care less
Yelmo 4 6 7 8 Torso 3 8 Hombreras 3 4 Piernas 3 7 8 Mochila 7 8
tenseoh - Heartburn Remix
My face during this 😐

Literally everyone I know loves mark 5 armour. Idk what this guys problem is
Cmon thunder warriors are so cool… Also older mk. III was def better
I like Primaris. Definitely could’ve been done much better but hey I like their armor. (Also I’m too poor for the tabletop so I didn’t lose anything)
Phobos armour with Corvus helmets looks pretty rad. I don't even play Raven Guard. I just love the look of the armour. Also, absolute gigachad taste in BGM.
I was having a hard time figuring out if I should buy a Mastodon or an Astraeus... Then GW put the Mastodon in Legends. So this is my Astraeus :) I love him, and GW can suck my dic-
if you're proxying stuff, just use legends
I like Heresy Armor
I use the Age of Darkness Box set as the basis for my CSM list. I like using Breachers as Posessed and giving them a Grey Knights polearm, because I really Really like the breacher model and the shield represents the additional toughness and the invulnerable save for me. Plus, the idea of ten dudes in MKIII carrying a polearm and a tower shield running full speed at the enemy is just funny to me.
gravis is like terminators, but look good
What maakes them different? Genuinely curious
@@Edible_edibility I may be completely and totally wrong, but from memory I think these are the basic differences: (but you probably should look up by yourself just to be sure) terminators are an older more limited model of armor that is also more resilient and less mobile, as far as I know. and gravis is a newer model of armor, primaris only (even less sure about this one tho lol), more readly available, a little faster and not so tanky
@@3_14pie oh thanks Gravis kinda sounds like tartaros pattern terminator but cheaper
I don't know how to tell you that, but I needed this kind of serious shitpost content
While terminators absolutely should be T6, the 4+ invul save makes up for that.
Like fuck terminators should be T6, Gravis shouldn't be T6, if you're T6 you're a warboss or a terminator armoured custard tart.
The best thing is that Michelin Man's true name is "Bibendum" so he could actually fit into latinesque theme.
God I hate Primaris, it’s not even a nostalgia thing cuz I got interested in 40k about 2 years ago maybe?
I love primaris makes the models good looking and is better for the setting
I despise the gentrification of faction aesthetics and the lack of meaningful customizability. Most of all I hate the helmets
@@unwise_TW its the mark iv helmet
@@launcherx2044 the iV is much more angular. I find that angular mask plate to look much better in comparison to the rounded nub of a mask plate thats on the mk x helmet. To me the change in the helmets from mk7 to X is like what the stormtrooper helmets from starwars turned into in the bastardized sequel trilogy. It completely changes the helmet design too drastically whereas in the stormtrooper analogy there’s a much more clearly choreographed evolution going on throughout the marks of armors in each consecutive mark it should look like it’s getting more complex but still calls back to the original of a mean looking almost skull like helmet with a permanent frown whereas the “first order helmets is a fuckin derpy ass egg with a “W” shaped grin
its pronounced ah-key-uh >:3
Mk5 my beloved. GIVE ME THE BAAAAAAAWWWLLLLLSSS
Phobos armour can get 7 movement when it also gets 4+ armour
I love the Mark 4 Maximus, the Mark 6 Corvus and the Mark X because of their helmets.
Give me a beakie gravis with an extra chonky, longer beak for bullet deflection
I don't care what armour pattern a marine wears. Give him a beakie.
What about Praetors. Could I turn those into Captains or Lieutenants?
Definitely!
Let’s go beaky boys
0:22 machine-ellin man!!
MK 1 bros knowing it was the marine armour that started it all and was still utilized far into the great crusade by the marines 🧠
Unpowered legs, no sprint for you

@@jamesmacken9501 beakies give me brain feel good

No aegis power armour Cause it’s a secret
I too have a beard!
Aegis? What aegis armor? Grey knights?
@@SolVoltalix40K it’s a secret 🤫
Mk X, because given it's 3 variants it seems like a pretty versatile armor platform. Beautiful and standardized design yet easily mass produceable while not sacrificing protection to the wearer. Only reason it seems relatively ineffective is most likely due to the inexperience of primaris chapters compared to their older brethren. Edit: my opinion is purely from a story/lore perspective given I have no experience with tabletop Warhammer, though I will agree the Phobos pattern should definitely have better movement given it's lightweight adaptation.
from a story/lore perspective primaris sucks
MKIV because it was the first time I saw Space Marines that weren't Screamers or Beakies... Second goes to Tacticus/Gravis cos they are just bigger MKIVs until GW decides to reboot the current MKIV shortkings, Beakies because of Rogue Trader (that Crimson Fist art cover of Rogue Trader (1st Ed WH40k) is dead sexy.)
Gravis is incorrect. I love bieng in a comfortable 3000 pounds of ceramite, much like terminators
Aquila pattern is on point 😂
