I started decluttering in 2020 when my dad died I saw all his stuff that he held onto Was so stressful what to do with it Made me see we don’t take anything when we die And in the end it’s stressful for others I’ve been collecting movies since 2005 And just got rid of half of it But sometimes I worry I’ll regret it and want them again Just because I really am isolated and it’s all I really got and spend money on It’s addicting decluttering though

Cool. So I'm somewhere in the middle. Organized and intentional. But nothing is on display and a lot is impulsively purchased, and sometimes never used, just held onto just in case. Also, there are several themes of items.

I just re-watched the "25 questions to help with letting go" video... Very helpful questions to ask when de-cluttering. In past, I had let a couple of items go simply because I wasn't using it as much as I once did, but I later had regret (kinda semi-traumatic regret) because I did love that darling denim tote bag which also had lots of good memories (I fell into the black/white mindset "if you haven't used it in 12-months, give it away"). Also, I later realized I could have re-purposed that dear tote bag as an actual "storage bin" to hold other items (such as art materials or even a set of bed sheets). That said, I am happy for the person who may have ended up with that tote bag! I've learned the hard way to think outside the box and consider if there's an alternate use for the item to give away, particularly when it's an item you like but may not use as often. Love all your content and style!
