@@alyafilonova I know, that chess is big in most countries east of us. Games like that have kept many people happy during hard times. As books have. And please don't be too afraid about the war. I am certain, that Ukraine gets a lot of intelligence and support from NATO, despite not being a member. For example, I just read an article some time ago about an American AWACS surveillance plane flying over Eastern Poland. When they (or satellites or radars) "see" something move in Russia, I am sure they inform Ukraine about it.

@@aarhusnord Honestly, in 10 months,we even got used to it. Air alerts are not so scared.The worst thing is when you realize that now the military is fighting for their lives to save yours

@@alyafilonova Of course, the military puts itself in a dangerous spot. But the Ukrainian forces seem to be far better equipped, trained and motivated, than the Russian side. So even though Ukrainians are in danger, Russian soldiers are far worse off - they will die in scores. Best thing would have been, if Ukraine had already been a NATO member, just like the Baltic States or Poland. They can sleep safely at night, even with Russia or Belarus right next to them. When this war is over, Russia will find itself in a very hard spot, also economically, while Ukraine can rebuild and look forward. Here in Denmark, I have even seen an ad for a Ukrainian product, a cheese called "Komo", today. That would never have been for sale here a year ago, but the war has put Ukraine on the map and many will probably buy such a product to support your country. When it is safe, tourism and business will flourish. Russia, on the other side ...

@@alyafilonova You're welcome. It is great to see young people so eager to have better and richer lives than possibly their parents and certainly their grandparents had. In my opinion/view, your country has to some extent been caught up in its internal challenges and past connections to the East, rather than to the West. Your generation will have an important role in changing that. That is why preparing for the future and peacetime are vital, even right now, when your country is at war. There will be a huge need for people, who know foreign languages in trade, tourism, politics, culture ... You can be one of those taking your country in a - hopefully - better direction.

@@alyafilonova That was early. In the U.K., I think it is on the morning of the 25th. Audiobooks are a great way to listen, and here in Denmark, you can subscribe to services such as "Mofibo", where you pay a monthly fee and get access to thousands of audiobooks. Libraries here also have some, that are totally free (streaming or download). Look out for such services in English language. There are also some audiobooks here on UA-cam in full length. Maybe you can find some books for download as MP3 files. Very convenient when travelling, during workout, et cetera.

When I had your age (late teens, I guess), I was mostly a lazy fellow (like so many teenage boys), until I got interested in learning and found the school, that was right for me. Your youth is special in the way, that you are so close to a war. But the day it is over, you have spent your time wisely, in my opinion, because Ukraine will have a future, where many with foreign language skills are needed. In the nineties, I did some English teaching at summer camps in Western Poland, and young Poles all wanted to learn English and see the world. First time, I was down there, were in 1995, and still you could feel, that it was a country, that had been a part of the East Block for so many years. So much development has happened in Poland since then, and I hope, a similar development shall happen in Ukraine. But it will take time and many of Ukraines resources will have to go to rebuilding and restoring the country first.

@@alyafilonova You're welcome. You show a lot of courage by uploading your videos, so I believe you deserve a little feedback. Knowing that you reach at least a few, will be a good motivation. And then you'll get out to even more. When you make videos, I think adding a "Call to Action" - hit like, subscribe, comment, et cetera, would be a good idea. The more "actions" to your videos and activity on your channel, the more subscribers and feedback you'll be likely to get in future.
