I'd definitely agree on the rivnut but still with the reinforcement plate. Fortunately they do make rivnuts capable of handling thicker materials.

I didn't think they would be strong enough And wanted to use the included hardware. So other people installing this kit can follow this instruction.

If you find a good example of Somebody using rivnuts For the sway bar send it to me so I can see how They reinforce it.
