Wisconsin Oliver Nut
United States
Приєднався 21 січ 2007
Welcome to my channel! I grew up on a farm in Northeastern Wisconsin, and we farmed with mostly Oliver tractors. My Grandpa owned an Oliver dealership in the 60's. My channel will mostly focus on antique farm equipment, mostly Oliver tractors and Oliver implements. You will see getting tractors working that haven't been run in years, to working them out in the field, along with auctions and tractor shows I attend. I will also do videos on small engine repair, Stihl products, and cutting firewood. I hope you enjoy the content I am putting out. If you have any suggestions for future videos, send me an e-mail or a comment on the video you watched. Thanks for watching my videos! You can contact me via email at lecljeff@yahoo.com

I check out an Allis Chalmers 5050 tractor, which is the same as a Fiat 540 or 580. I do a little exploring of the different model Fiats there are, the companies that Fiat made tractors for or allowed others to use the design. These include: Oliver 1365 Cockshutt 1365 Minneapolis-Moline G450 White 2-50 Fiat 540 Allis-Chalmers 5050 New Holland 640 Someca 615 OM 615 Hesston 55-66 Long 445 UTB/Uni...

Part 1: I take a little road trip out to Rumely Acres to check out the 7th Annual Fall Harvest Days! My first time being here. Nice job sir Nice Tractors Nice show sir 👏👏👏👏👍👍👍👍😃
Thank you!
I think if you reverse the Bronze retainers on the steering shaft, it will let the shaft seat more towards the bell housing.
I will definitely take a look at that, thank you!
Just finished rebuilding my waukesha in an oliver 88. It was neat to see one on display
Nice! Did you go oversize with it?
@WisconsinOliverNut No, I didn't. I'm only 17, so the budget was limited
@aidencrawford3487 thats ok, glad to hear you're fixing it and interested in the Olivers
Here’s the playlist for this series: ua-cam.com/play/PLLEKEquedPvfAblZ2Dzzc1Yo64K6y1dgs.html&si=XvLIagB44KvECcsG
I like that tap handle, need to find one of them. It's looking really good. Now I realize I'm 8 videos behind on this girl. Mike, a flat tire? I couldn't imagine.
Yeah I should link the older ones in the description or pin a comment
Come on Mike! He must have a flat tire!. 😆
8 months later I’m still waiting 😂
Oh my goodness he got it done!!!
Well, not totally. But close!
Nice tractor
Thank you
Nice job sir Nice tractors Nice show sir 👏👏👏👏👍👍👍👍😃
Thank you!
Always nice to get as much stuff under roof as possible. Good to see the radiator repairs are holding. Not much snow here, (yet) either. Most of what was here melted last two days. I rather like this time of year when it's not snowing and creating work for me! No grass to mow, no garden to hoe.....
Yeah winter is a more relaxing time. Peaceful especially if you have a fireplace to be around. I have a wood burning one so it’s nice to watch the fire eat the wood
This film must be from the late fall, or did you guys not get any snow?
I knew it was before Christmas. Date on phone I think was Dec 18. Yeah we didn’t get near the snow they predicted. Up to 10”? It was more like 3”
We didn’t get much snow yet this winter. Ground is mostly bare. But we are getting that cold snap coming. Not much escaping that
@WisconsinOliverNut did you get to use the snow blower?
@ThatOliverGuyChris no, we never got much snow so far. But if we do, expect a video of using this bad boy!
Nice show sir Nice Tractors 👍👍👍👍👏👏👏😃
Thank you!
How many horsepower is that 99
It’s about 62 if I recall right
453 or 353 in it
4-53
What is the hp of that super99
Would be in the 80 hp range
Nice 310 turboed mine was a 1750 310 naturally aspirated
Thank you. This is a Perkins naturally aspirated
TWO OLIVER GUYS USING THEIR WITS TO GET AN OLD TRACTOR 🚜 BACK UP AND RUNNING 🏃 WOO -HOO !
Yes!
He did his best.... 😆 🤣 😂
Yeah the original Sean Connery quote did not use the word coitus, but a much less pg-13 word 😁
Nuthing like a deere
Haha, good one 😄
😮😮 the cores was stopped up because the raditor wasnt flushed or washed out over the years it will be build up over time and wont let it flow 😮😮 thats why it runs hot other wise U have 2 take the raditor 2 a shop and have them boiled out U can check the thermostat that way U boil them and see 👀 😮 if they open like they should it should open all the way if it doesnt 1 side will and the other side will hang up most pepole just replace them theres no telling how long they have been in the tractor 😮😮 OMG 1 1O 2O25
Good info, thank you
Patches on Grandpa's pants tell me he is the real thing.
Haha, yes!
Another great plowing video, don't know if there is enough on UA-cam to get me through the winter though? The fall plowing question, dirt mellowing over the winter, ;like everyone else said. Erosion would be the big strike against it though. Spring plow-days are hard to find. I'm going to hope to make it to Reedsburg this year, again. So far I've never gotten there, even to watch.
Yeah I can see how the freezing and thawing would work on those ground chunks
Very nice, especially the plowing. That's always my favorite. Are you going again this year? There is a chance I may make it if the ducks all line up.
I definitely want to make it. I’m hoping for an extra day than I had on this one. It is well worth anyone’s time. I had 3 days there and didn’t see anywhere close to everything
Boy, Mike K. takes a serious beating in this one! So much for my dream of opening a tire service with him. Great recap of the year gone by, thanks!
Thank you! And yeah, Mike is pretty popular when it comes to tires.
Great year end video. Enjoyed the look back format even though I've already seen most of the original videos. Have a great 2025 guys! Oliver On!
Thank you! Glad you liked it 😃
ONE OF THE BEST YEAR END , LOOKING BACK VIDEO’S I HAVE SEEN , BAR NONE !
Thank you
Still enjoying working with Oliver's for 65 years!
Gotta love em!
The injection pump on that 5050 looks like a lucas/cav just like the Perkins massey ferguson engines, and like the IH on the bd154 diesel engines.
It could be
I had a list of all the ACs dad had, but I’ve lost it. I believe that he had a B, C, G, WD, WD 45 D&G, D14, D15, D17, D19, 180, 440, and after he sold the farm equipment he bought the 5050 for cutting, raking, baling and moving manure.
That’s great! I bet the 5050 did those tasks well
Some interesting plows there, was that a 416 on rubber? Like the 656 too, not sure what model that was with it though.
Yes I believe that 4 bottom pull type was like my 4 bottom slat bottom on steel I have
Cool I have a AC 720 been a good tractor not very many of them out there
Nice!
We had an Allis 5050 2Wd 8 speed. Nice handy little tractor. Compared to most 40 HP utility tractors that extra 10HP that the 5050 had made a real difference. We also had a 6080. front half was AC while the back half was Fiat. That little 4 cylinder combine engine AC put in the 6080 really had to work to crank out the claimed 83HP. The 6 cylinder AC 185 could outperform it.
Cool, great info! Thank you
Looks like a really fun show. Do you ever make it to Badger Steam and gas? Maytag made ''conventional's', wringer washers through 1985.
Hmm, was the National Oliver Show there years ago? I know we went to Baraboo one time for a national show. Quite awhile ago now.
@@WisconsinOliverNut Probably 2017, I think that's the year I was there. Oliver was the feature. Never saw so much Meadow Green garden equipment in my life!
Interesting history you have recorded here. As you mentioned Fiat tractors and powertrains showed up in many colors, and names. Fiat licensed the use of its tractor design to many different companies, allowing Fiat to reach markets around the world. Kubota added their 6 cyl. engine to the Fiat Powertrain to create the M4500, and later AC purchased powertrain components and added an AC engine for the 6000 series tractors. That AC 5050 in the video was a based on the Fiat 540 Special DT, and it is equipped with the optional creeper gear. The DT indicated front wheel drive. Very nice tractor for its age. AC imported approximately 12,000 Fiat tractors during that time. AC tractors were manufactured in Romania, while the Olivers were manufactured in Italy. Oliver never imported the Fiat 540 and the comparable 3 cyl. Oliver 1255 and 1265 were based on the Fiat 450 and 480. The hitch corrections on this unit are due to an internal leak in the lift circuit. Most likely at this age it is the piston seal of the lift, or possibly a leaking circuit relief valve. Either one of these concerns are easily repaired through the front side of the 3 point hitch housing.
Wow great info! Thank you for sharing your knowledge 😃
That’s the first 5050 I’ve seen with a 12 spd (all kinds of 8s) Thanks for sharing!
You’re welcome! Thank you for tuning in!
Dad had a 5050. Only the front wheel assist had the extra gears. My BIL has my dad’s tractor. It’s a work horse for a 3 banger.
We background cattle and use 3 5050s . 1 is 4x4 ,all of them are 8 spd. There was an Allis dealer close by and quite a few 5050s and 5040s in the neighborhood years ago
I have a tractor that needs to be on your list, The Allis Chalmers 5045.
Sure enough. Part of that family. Thank you. Pretty nice lil tractors
My Grandfather bought an Oliver 1365 back in the mid 1970s. I still have it. It now has about 6000 hours on it now but still runs really good. My 3 point bounces, too. Maybe I'll redo that someday.
Nice! They are great little tractors! Surprising we don’t have one 🤔😁
VERY INFORMATIVE VIDEO , AND SOME REALLY HANDY LOOKING TRACTORS 🚜 FROM YESTERYEAR !
Yes! Thank you
Merry Christmas.
Thank you! Merry Christmas to you!
That's a cool way to plant spuds. Maybe a monitor could be fitted to the planter? Just kidding. What do you do with so many of them? Besides shooting them at other Oliver types.
Haha you saw the potato shooter video? I want to make another soon. Last year was a bumper crop of them. Some went to feed my people, sold some, some was given to family members, and rest was to fill my own bin and for seed for next year.
Pretty interesting old machine, never seen one quite like it. Two types of people I hate to bid against at auctions, Amish and Women! They are both very determined.
Haha, yeah I see Amish at those types of auctions. They are definitely around the antique stuff
The 4 bottom roll-over looks like it has the high-speed bottoms on it possibly?
It’s possible, I’d have to go look
That 660 is super sharp! And those ever present stones.... Think I need to start growing some winter wheat so I have an excuse to plow in the summer.
Thank you, yeah it’s a nice 660! Stones are bad here, they are quite annoying
It did an amazing job covering the trash, and a nice job overall. John Gaard, I think that's right, popped up on my feed. All things moldboard plow, maybe you have seen it? Anyway, watched and learned a lot from some of his stuff, wish he had more.
I may have, I’d have to look

GREAT RADIATOR INFO ! SO LETS HEAR IT FOR FASTENERS , WHAT WOULD WE DO WITHOUT FASTENERS , THEY HOLD OUR WORLD 🌎 TOGETHER !
Yes, that is certainly true. One of the many things in life that are underrated
I can’t believe this landed in my feed, Fred M. Young was my grandfather. Cool video!
Wow! What can you tell me about Young Radiator Company?
@ I grew up there! It has a neat history given it was founded in 1927 - duesenburg turbo cooling system and Indy racing, military, aerospace, and early unionization and labor negotiations. My Dad sold to MotivePower in 1998 and then Subsequently became Young Touchstone. The Racine plant and offices are still there but vacant I think.
@@ayoshib cool, thank you for the info!
I need a trailer plow like some of the ones you have.
Yeah I like the trailer plows, you can hook on with anything and go
That is an interesting part of history. Guess I'm on a history kick this morning.
There’s definitely a lot I will never know. There’s so much to learn
