Wisconsin Oliver Nut
United States
Приєднався 21 січ 2007
Welcome to my channel! I grew up on a farm in Northeastern Wisconsin, and we farmed with mostly Oliver tractors. My Grandpa owned an Oliver dealership in the 60's. My channel will mostly focus on antique farm equipment, mostly Oliver tractors and Oliver implements. You will see getting tractors working that haven't been run in years, to working them out in the field, along with auctions and tractor shows I attend. I will also do videos on small engine repair, Stihl products, and cutting firewood. I hope you enjoy the content I am putting out. If you have any suggestions for future videos, send me an e-mail or a comment on the video you watched. Thanks for watching my videos! You can contact me via email at lecljeff@yahoo.com

Hart Parr never made a steam engine
I probably called it a steam engine but it’s not. I always tend to call the big guys with the roof steam engines, when in fact some are not
IFEN YOU WERE TO CROSS THAT JOHN DEERE TRAILER WITH THAT CUB CADET WOOD SPLITTER , WOULD YOU HAVE A 🦌 DEER CUB OR A JOHN CADET ?
Ha, whatever you choose
How much does that unit cost?
MSRP shows $4599 on their website
I have been looking at getting the Woodland mills WC68 wood chipper. I hear great things about them. I also want a band saw mill from them too for making lumber. I have many hobbies, from Oliver tractors to wanting to have a saw mill for making my own lumber.
A sawmill would be awesome, especially if you have the wood and are handy with carpentry.
@WisconsinOliverNut I'm not good at carpentry, but I'm determined to have hobbies and teach my kids as many things as I can. I was fortunate to have amazing grandfather's who have spent time teaching me skills. since I was diagnosed with cancer, I am a bit more driven to pass on those skills and have as much quality time with my kids as possible.
Sorry to hear about the cancer. Yeah teaching them firsthand is way better than any book or online is. That’s great!
Yes sir I would love to have a 1750 my self!!!’
They are a nice size tractor!
I thought he was gonna run Herman right into the plastic hut and give you a ride 😂
I’m sure he thought about it. Maybe figured he might damage it 😄
I don't know where you live, but I know where you go!
Stalker! 😁
Stalker! 😂
Yes! 😁
THE OLIVERS WITH THE G.M. DIESELS MADE A REALLY GOOD SHOWING , EVEN THE PULLBACK TRACTOR WAS AN OLIVER WITH A G.M DIESEL ! GOOD STUFF ! 💪🏻 💪🏻 !
Yes!
😊😊 GM DIESEL ENGINES are 2 cycle they use a gear driven blower 4 more air 4 the cylinders they didn't have a tubro 😊😊 OMG 1O 4 2O24
Yep I think some had 2 exhaust valves per cylinder, our 1900 has 4 valves per cylinder. Piston exposes holes in the sleeve at bottom dead center for the air. Gotta love em 😃
😊😊 the john deere diesel tractors did haveva pony engine on them U would start the pony engine then change 2 diesel then cut the pony engine off /jihn deere didn't go 2 direct diesel engines until they went 2 the inline 4 and 6 cylinder engines that was after 196O 😊😊 OMG 1O 4 2O24
Thanks for the info! The pony engined John Deere’s will be remembered as a unique engineering marvel.
😊😊 COOP did make there own tractor 🚜 😊 it was a factory 🏭 😊 tractor 🚜 😊 OMG 1O 4 2O24
Nice! So was that 2nd one in the video their own design?
I have the same machine. How do you get the chain to stop when you are moving from one place to another.
You have to disengage the drive dogs on each wheel. That’s what engages the gears to turn the chain
this is a nice tractor, never had a chance to own one but got 770 1750 and 2655. question is are the steps to get off and on tractor a factory option or did someone build it? i need one like that on my 1750, i do not climb to good no more. thanks
Not factory. You can buy them but my Dad bent it so it’s closer to the platform
when is the last time you checked the oil bath air cleaner ?
During this video actually, I think I cut that part out. Video got way too long. It was full of oil but I could see if there’s anything bad on the bottom of the bowl
Kevin Bacon should have had Herman in the Footloose movie.
Why is that?
@@WisconsinOliverNut he would have killed that other tractor with the Detroit powered, huge tired, Oliver.
😁 oh, I guess I’m not real familiar with that movie
@@tomchrisfield7348 I watched the scene you are referring to. Where they play chicken. His shoelace won him that contest 😄
A friend of mine always says "Chase it boy, chase that thread like a good boy, Good boy!" every time we are rebuilding something. LOL Good advice.
😂
Meanest looking Oliver ive ever seen...sounds awesome
Yes!
Look and listen to the sound of that big sum bitch 🤪 Holy shit 😳 sweet looking
Serious flotation !!!!!
Yes!
Where could I find some 3 point hitch components
That would be tough to find
@@WisconsinOliverNut Well I gotta keep lookin. My crawler has part of the hitch. I could make the parts but it would be nice to have a drawing or some measurements
@@WisconsinOliverNut I am making some steel side rails for my hi crop so I can weld to them. Will be fabricating rollover cage, skidding arch, winch mount and push bar
@@stevenowell wow that’s a lot of fabricating
@@WisconsinOliverNut It is but how cool will it be if I get it done. One advantage is all the threaded holes that Oliver put in the cast iron
Another dumbass rides again
Love the two strocke detroit
Yep!
@@WisconsinOliverNut hey from Alsace in France i love the old school tractor us and all brand of world a farmer friend of my boss and mee have only us equipement
@@noehueber6602 thats great!
That's the old two stroke Detroit ToStroke i here
Yep sure is!
Stalker!
Oh no, that’s for creepy people 😁
@@WisconsinOliverNut 😂😂😂
That looked like a mad man from Michigan
Yes!
Beautiful tractor!
Thank you!
You had it easy. When I did my 66 standard, we struggled more then Ross and gave him some competition for sadness. I had a big split bearing puller on the hub and fed it the phartpounders with the impact. Then I smacked the hub with a hammer like you would for a tie rod end. When she finally left loose, the hub landed 10 feet away.
@@jamieebersole6755 the other side gave issues to where I’ll do a separate video on it, we gave up on it with the tools we had. Built a puller and will use heat for attempt 2
@WisconsinOliverNut the one that fought us the most we soaked it with penetrating oil and left the puller on it with tension overnight, and the next day, it came off. Good luck
NAPA has gone crazy with the prices of their filters. I buy all mine at the dealer as they are cheaper.
Yeah can’t believe how much they soak you for one
@@WisconsinOliverNut Yep they have no shame
I heard my name. Two more times and I'll appear!
@ThatOliverGuyChris you might appear when I’m in a porta-john 😄
I have that same machine except mine has a 6-110 detroit.
Nice!
@WisconsinOliverNut do you guys have any onfo about these? I've been looking all over and can't find a thing. Yours is the closest one I've found to mine
@@nobucksgivngarage I think we have a manual for it. What info you looking for?
Sitir those roots.
Yes!
I love spuds.
Me too!
Man, that turbo charger really got to screamin by the third pass. 😂
Yeah that alternator has to go bye bye. Could be the belt I suppose but it’s gotta get fixed
G day from Ontario Yes IH basically same , then 3 pt come trip bottoms, then we went with chisel plow & plowed after. Ths
Nice!
HEY MR. PIGMAN ; IFEN YOU WANT A HOLLYWOOD PRODUCTION , WHY DO YOU NOT JUST WATCH A MOVIE 🎥 🍿 !
I hear Brokeback Mountain is good, he could start with that one 😄
Your very boreing to watch
Well you watched a video of two guys working on a tractor, what more did you want?
Got to love the old 1650💪🏻
Yes! Nice size for many jobs
That was a bit disappointing. Seemed like half the video showed more of the older tractor that they used to pull start the 2150. Then when they got the 2150 running, they just drove it around a bit. I was expecting to see them put it to work. Nice to see the tractors though.
Sometimes the fields are planted and we can’t get in them. So we will just start them and run them around
Mike Kalsem is the most famous owner of tractor tires that I know! 😂😅 I
Yes he is!
GOTTA KEEP THEM OLIVERS RUNNING GOOD !
Absolutely!
Well I can tell you this that they're planning on tearing down the old Waukesha engine facility now that it's officially abandoned
Ah that’s sad news
Thanks for sharing 👍 Love that 1600 4x4
Thanks for watching!
Is there a Vidoe of how you are timing it.?
No not on this model
That Allis wd has a diesel from a reefer unit in it
Yeah it wasn’t original, no doubt. I didn’t know what the engine was from. By “reefer”, are you referring to a refrigeration unit for a truck, or a cigarette with marijuana? 😂
@@WisconsinOliverNut definitely truck refrigeration
I was out there too on Saturday I brought out my yellow convertable
Nice! I didn’t even get to see the cars or the blacksmith area. Ran out of time and I was exhausted from the heat
@@WisconsinOliverNut yes it was very hot out lots of water
Yeah too hot for my liking. Just like it is now
What's the model of the cultivator
It could be 1095 but I’m not sure on the differences between the other ones
Awesome 👍
Thanks!
Nice video
Thank you!
That's a beauty of a 77. The family history makes it that much better.
Yes, definitely one I will never sell
OLD TIME CULTIVATING MACHINE , I SPENT MANY HOURS CULTIVATING CORN WITH THIS SAME SET - UP !
