Thank you for the video.
Hi Lottie. It's good to see you're keeping your socks dry. 🌧 I'm starting to think its not a real Lottie video without at least a minor rant at some[body/thing].
Keep on tanking
As always Ms. Lottie, I sure love your intro!! Keep it coming “Again”!!!
It's tropical Queensland...we're used to this. I'm surprised we didn't get more rain down in SEQ.
Looks a bit moist out there. Don't forget your water wings @Lottie!!
Loved this video. Its 37 here and freezing rain tomorrow. Question for Lottie, if you were to restore a military vehicle for yourself, what would it be?
That's a good question. I have the Ferret, which is technically my own. What I'd really like to restore is an old FT Renault. It's a long shot but they are so cool. I could spend hours on all the little details 😊
@@lottiethetankwhisperer My wife bought a 1963 M38A1 that i need to start restoring in the next year or so
I'm betting you're on the river flat.
Promos for customers with a DUKW ?
I hope your current restoration is a Schwimmwagen! 😄
Brought to you today by Captain Lottie :) I love these little behind-the-scenes snippets, looming disaster notwithstanding :P
Thanks Lottie, canoe not needed yet, keep your feet dry. 👍
Need a pair of waders to go out in that, or a small boat.
Hope you have a dryer season keep dry good luck 👍👍👍😊
Lottery you are a treasure
Is your home ok? ❤
Home is fine. It was built pre-sillyness. It won't get flooded, and if it does... we all have serious problems 😅 Ground is a bit muddy though 😝
❤
Completely different topic.. I miss your old choker 😄 I always wondered how it was made or if you made it 🤔
I'm surprised people even noticed. I still have my old choker, the black paint was wearing off it. I may repaint it.
Rest of the country is quietly jealous of you at the moment. 🌧🌧🌧🌧
I don't mind sharing 😅
That's a lot of rain!
Thanks for the tour. Aussie weather is crazy. I also follow lock valley farms who’re just north of Adelaide. Their crops were pretty much a bust because of a drought, yet you’ve enough rain you could take a boat to work. Nice to see the channel growing. I started watching when you had barely over 1k subs. Looks like you’ll soon be at 5k. Keep it up. 👍👍
It's not just Australia. Here in Croatia the weather has settled into a consistent drought-flood cycle. Much the same elsewhere around Europe and the rest of the world for that matter.
Thanks. I'm hoping to make big strides this year 😁
Stay safe up there, Lottie. I'm glad you seem to be in a not-so-wet-spot. BTW, is Peter camera shy? He always seems to duck for cover when you're filming...
He's fine. I just do a lot of spontaneous filming. I'm sure I can lock him down for a video or two 😊
Too bad you weren't restoring a military boat today. 😄
Or a DUCK or Amphibious Tractor heck even a Schwimmern wagon from WW2
Could just travel by tank.
Glad you’re ok. Still reckon a second camera would be great. Been through a flood.
You know it started this way for Noah.
Been watching your troubles from sunny Perth
Wow... lot of dihydro okside
Sup Lottie….Townsville got flooded causing fifty million dollars worth of improvements. Cheers.
I'll have to remember that one 😅
Cool
Doing a wonderful job, stay cool.
Nice start to 2025.
I remember the M2A2 well, is VM looked after the rolling things for the M2A2, the gun bunnies aka Fitters looked after the barrel and other associated things. ECN229
While in the service, I used to polish brass work on-board my ship to pass the time on long midnight watches. Bells, switches, pipes and various controls were brass. Salt air and brass made for some heavy elbow grease. From dim memory, we used brasso and cotton pads. A power drill would have been great but not as therapeutic :) These old artifacts deserve the small attention to detail. Pay attention to the small details and the big details seem to get handled properly. This old artifact veteran enjoys your channel. Your good work preserving the past means something to those of us who served with and worked on similar equipment in the past. Good work.
Thank you for your kind words 😊
Keep up the good work Lottie. And don’t worry too much about creating ‘quality content’, it’s actually the straightforward and honest way you do these vids that makes it enjoyable to watch
Why didn’t you use the original counter sunk screws for the plaque? Love your stuff.
I was going to. Sadly, the colour didn't really match. More importantly, the threads were beat up. 😊
@ thx
Yeah ! What a satisfaction. There's something fascinating about polishing brass. (...and yes, I polish screwheads too.) Quick thing; at the end I put spray oil or silicon spray on it & wipe off; it removes more black leftovers from the small places easy.
Haha … I recognised the siren before you switched to the noisy clip😁!
Shiny👀 ..........................🥃🚬
Here's to a productive, entertaining and educational new year.
Nice work 😊
2:33 Never thought we’d be seeing Lottie casting spells - all this time I thought you were a muggle :P As for Sketchy!Lottie, that’s part of the channel’s charm :). Though I definitely see how a dedicated camera person would make things much easier on a production standpoint (so long as they don’t filch your sandwhiches) :)
I love “Lottie time” 😂
You never cease to impress. I really dig the pride the both of you obviously take in your work. If you don’t mind answering… How does Australia de-mil a large bore gun? See ya on the next vid!
I used to polish the "Brightwork" on private jets. That includes the leading edges on the wings, horizontal and vertical stabilizers, and inlet rings of the engines. It would take an entire day even with six of us working. Even wearing a Tyvek suit, I'd still manage to have black residue all over me. Also, I don't know if it's available by you, but 3M makes a drill adapter similar to the tool you were using that is sold for headlight restoration. It works well for small parts.
if it works, it works
Nicely done Lottie
It’s great to see how much care and consideration you put into the simpler parts of restoration. Fantastic job Lottie.
Thanks for doing the explanatory voice-over, rather than pointless music. 👍
Love your restoration videos! Your skills are top notch!
Sup, Lottie.
