Great video very detailed I rebuilt one of my br600s 2 years ago it does get ran all week long but it started making a funny noise the other day and didn’t wanna stay cranked so I got home took the cover off and 2 of the crank pan bolts were hanging and the pan was split . What do you think caused that I run stihl mix. Piston and cylinder steel seem great from the rebuild

If you overfill the tank, gas will saturate the carbon in the cap and cause run issues until it dries out. Many don’t know that’s what the red insert is for in the neck of the tank.

I know this is a stupid question but is the primer pump button is attached to the primer pump? Im trying to restore a1984 ford tempo and the primer pump was bypassed and the previous owner decided to push start the thing 😅 HELP OR ADVICE PLEASE

What would make the intake hose blow off ? If I run this thing half throttle I have no issues. But sometimes we gotta put it to the floor…and occasionally the intake hose will blow right off. Idk what to do.

I wonder if this is what caused my hilux to go limp. After ringing its head off in every gear for about 20 seconds itll finally get to 80kmh but thats it, has a slight stutter in some rev ranges but other than that the fuel filter primer is stuck down when turned on but comes up when turned off

A gas mask or respirator is easier to breath through if you remove the filter.

Seth. Thanks for the share. Had a 05 NPR that would fall on its face at 25 mph. Couldn't figure it out. Turns out, this is exactly what was going on. Old fuel lines with large tank scale flakes wedged into hose cutting down fuel flow. Great call! Thanks for the share.

The battery pack is the biggest downside to this thing. The weight and the limited range ( plenty for this use-case, by far) But that's it. And it's already good. No noise, no exhaust, no transmission. Instant motor torque. One-foot driving via regenerative braking is the jake brake that gives back. Center of gravity incredibly low= great handling native to the architecture. No belts, fluids, oils to leak or break. Fuel and operating cost orders below ICE. The technologies for battery chemistry, power density, weight reduction, charging speed are constantly improving. It's a no-brainer.

Excellent solution to save $12 on replacement gas cap. Your explanation was done concisely but removing the cap cover was more difficult than what was done in the video.

Take the choke rod out and Sand it a little where it fits in carb body and that will help choke to return off after starting engine.

Based on the information released at the launch event, the Rivian LMD van is programmed for a range of 150 miles. It is using the same basic battery as the Rivian pickup and SUV. It is a front wheel drive van, using 2 motors at the front. The battery weight is roughly the same capacity and weight as the battery used in the pickup and SUV. The weight difference between this van and a Sprinter/Transit/Promaster is probably going to be between 1,000 and 2,000 pounds heavier. These vans are not going to use high speed charging, but only level 2 to optimize battery life and these vans will be depot fueled (charged) overnight. The argument about using carbon fueled grid power vs ICE engines is a separate argument. Just keep in mind that now many grid power places get a significant amount of their power generation from Hydroelectric, wind and solar, so there is a reduction in carbon emissions from those sources.
