A1200 Verticalizer: the first angle connector for Amiga 1200 turbo boards
Short video about an angle connector for the Amiga 1200 turbo boards which I designed and built. The adapter may help position the turbo board in a towered A1200, or can be used wherever you need special arrangement for the turbo board on A1200 motherboard. Once I have a page with designs and instructions ready, I'll add the link here.

Super, Thanks 👍
Have played Alien 8 on my ZX Spectrum 48K long ago. Have now the Harlrquin 48K RevG in a original ZX Spectrum 48K case with the grey rubber keycaps. The same picture on the original ZX Spectrum 48K which i still have in mint state. Only the original Rev4A mainboard died. Use the most the ZX Spectrum 128K Toastrack which have a recap. Which i use only for 128K Demos. And i have a Harlequin 128K Rev2D in a original ZX Spectrum Plus case. That i use for new 128K games. For me the ZX Spectrum is Maniac Miner. For theCommodore 64 is that The Last Ninja 2 and for the AMIGA 500 Eye of the Beholder. Have played to much games in the 80’s and 90’s. Since 2016 i like demos on my AMIGA 1200 with the Blizzard 1230 IV and with the TF1260 68060 Rev6 CPU.
I'm in the process of restoring and selling my A2000 and A4000T w/CyberStormPPC. I didn't remember that the 4kt doesn't have an external floppy port. Hmmm. And after digging thru schematics trying to figure out what that other connector on the ports board was for, I figure out it's the active scsi termination. But I thought the dip switch on the drives board controlled en/disabling it? That's what the sticker says? But no. Turns out that if you want termination, all you have to do is build up a special scsi cable so you can daisy chain into that port. Somebody screwed up. But anyway, I'll be dumping a bunch of Amiga boards and computers and stuff onto the market. Toaster/Flyer+case. PhonePak. Emplant. Bridgeboard. Disk controllers. Spare a2k mobo and more. Even selling the C64 setup.
Please....replace all the capacitors and fix the corroded leg of the chip in the audio board!
That tower design is beautiful
I used to love the Amigas too, but whats the point of holding on to old tech these days... they're not worth anything and they're only redundant big paper weights. If you need to play with Amiga OS or games for memories purposes, just get WinUAE and run it on a PC 100X faster than the real amiga... get your fix and move on.... seems point less to me.
Is this the Forgotten Weapons channel but for computers?
Until now I didn't know Forgotten Weapons existed, but what the heck why not
I'm only five minutes in, and I'm absolutely loving it! The sound of that SCSI drive is music to my hears, what a beautiful machine. Congratulations on achieving our collective dream of owning this timeless classic, and thanks for sharing your thoughts on it. People like you play a vital role in preserving our computer heritage, and I'm truly grateful for your insights and passion.
Thanks for visiting and commenting :)

SD card on a A4000T are u nuts. ?
I own the original Commodore Amiga 4000T build 2 weeks Prior to bankrupcy. Only 35 working Commodore were made
You're one of the lucky ones! I wish we could arrange one day and record a video about your machine. It is a rarity. Also, how do you know the number 35 -- do you have a source?
Where are you located? I got this info 30years ago from Doc Peter Kittel.
@@smartroadsterclubde1303 I'm in Ireland, but to make a video of this machine, I could travel. Let me know at adam@podstawczynski.com if you are willing to discuss more.
Super film!Pozdrawiam

Comodore Really, went backrupt in 1992,Assets are computers ,and chairs etc. no one had the rights or IP or Patents except for I, Amigaman - Constantine XII,, I proved it. Its open source, I open sourced it. The tower went for 1800 at most the desktop 1200 AT MOST. to MANY LIES ,.I SOLD THEM.
Thank you so much Brother! A wonderful video and an overview of our favorite and valuable CBM machines. The Amiga is now for us as a Divine being and an endangered species:( We love and respect her, it's a shame that the producers lost their assets. Great greetings and peace to all from St. Petersburg = Russia!🗺
dry bearings? the hd sound was horrible
I bought an Amiga 3000T in 1991 and ran my BBS on it. It was FidoNet node 1:255/42 and called The Heart of Gold. Around 1996 I sold it to someone in Quebec via USENET. Not only did it give more expansion slots as the video says, but also more hard drive bays. I had most of the slots and bays filled as I had an A2386, some ISA cards, A Zorro 56K serial card, and many drives in it. An A2000 or A3000 wouldn't have been sufficient.
Best amiga ever.
i had the 500 then the 1200 but my mate had the amiga tower not sure if it was 4000t but it was better than my 1200 and in a tower
It could have been a3000t, a4000t, a towerized A4000 or a towerized A1200. No other tower options existed :)
where are the reprints of the boxes available please.?..thank you for the video.
The Amiga 3000: Kinda like a 286 only more expensive and slightly worse...#amiga
What an idea, nice!
Reason why we towered our miggies🤟💪
Smacznej kawy , zainteresowani projektem napewno juz sie odezwali
Hi Ya & best wishes. SuperB! Thanks for work. Be Happy. Sevastopol/Crimea.
Excellent addition to the Amiga family. Thank you
Verticalizer love the name.
Great video, excellent idea to visually show the sound output, waves, combination, and all that. With your explanations, it's indeed a great resource to point to when someone wonders on this subject. 👍
I had the Amiga 500+ with memory upgrade, then went to the 1200 with ram upgrade and a 200mb hd if I remember rightly + CD rom, I thought it was the Bomb....
Przy “compare oscilloscope view of both pieces of code” 😅zasubskrybowalem i wrzuciłem na todoliste twój artykuł pisany. Świetny content i świetny sposób opowiadania!
Dzięki. Cieszę się, że się podobało -- dla takich komentarzy chce się kręcić kolejne filmiki :)
The " Freeway Triton " is a very cool card like you say. :) I hope AlgorKick gets a update for newer accelerators, I'd like to use it with the BFG9060, I'm using it with a 3640 at the moment.
Nice. I haven't used any of my USB controllers with the BFG9060 for the simple reason I don't have the BFG9060 :) But I'll try this combination one day...
My route is NES-A500-PS1-PC-PS3-PC. Very warm memories from A500 with 68030 turbo card❤
Was there an Amiga all in one similar to the iMac with a 266mhz processor in the late 90's released in Europe?
No. A4000 was the last Commodore Amiga. Only aftermarket upgrades could give it 266 (or more) using PowerPC powerups.
My prediction? X-Box is going to become an all in one OEM PC- Like the Amiga, to compete with the PlayStation. (I think Microsoft will also offer a portable-'Steam Deck-like' portable unit) Focused on gaming, the console is going to become a plug and play Unit, that you would replace, about as often as new generation would roll out. What is old, is new Again. I had a Commodore 64 that I quit using in the early 90's (for living situation & work), and completely missed having an Amiga (or PC) until I built my own, AMD Phenom computer in the mid 2000's. I thought it was weird. I always heard about how superior Amiga was over PCs, then all of a sudden the Tables were turned and Amiga just died! I didn't have a horse in the race, but I felt bad for Commodore.
My passion lies with the C64, but the entire Commodore era was magic! Despite I said my goodbyes in 1995, I never felt the same love for PC.
I went from Amiga 500. Did eventually flip PC a 133mhz pentium in 1994. From there on I ended up on the gaming PC badwagon building 11 gaming PCs from 1999-2024. I am still deeply passionate about the Amiga and the community !
Greeting from Australia. Loved this !
I find it fascinating that this video is being watched on the other side of the planet! The Internet is awesome! Thank you for stopping by and commenting!!!
5:43 I can assure you that this running noise isn't normal. When new, they were nearly silent with the case closed. I think yours has a shot bearing.
Back in the day, I had both: the A3kT and later the A4kT. And I must say, apart from AA of course (which by that time was already obsolete anyway), the A3kT is the superior machine. When I first opened up my A4kT I was shocked how "thrown together" it looked in comparison to the 3000 Tower. For example, what was the point of designing a new motherboard and case and then putting many of the ports on tiny daughterboards? Only to introduce more SPOF. And then all the unused space, also to be seen in 4:23.
Agreed, I prefer A3kT too. However, I disagree on the motherboard design. Did you ever try repairing A3KT? It is a nightmare. And the I/O, disk, etc. daughterboards were actually _removing_ single points of failure, not adding them :)
@@ForgottenComputer You'd need to explain how putting more connectors reduces the risk of failures ;) Anyway, if you compare a generic PC tower case of the day to the A4kT case, I think it becomes pretty obvious why they took this path ...
@@Oli1974 Simple. All of the add-on modules (I/O module, drive module, audio module) have capacitors which in any 90s computers are prone to fail, and do. Burst capacitor, if not taken care of fast, pollutes and corrodes everything around. With modular design, damage is contained to that module.
i got a 3.5 rom on winuae - i looked at the memory meter on workbench and it says (reads) 87634442 ?? Where are the commas? in between the numbers?? or after than numbers ? thanks............... anybody know about this?? thanks.................
The best computer ever!!!!
Also, did you know that the Amiga 4000T uses a PC tower case made by Enlite? That's right, the Amiga 4000T is an Amiga clone motherboard, with ATX mounting holes spacing, screwed into a PC tower case. That Enlite case is the only thing that is high quality on the Amiga 4000T. Otherwise, like the Amiga 600, 1200, and 4000, it is a piece of garbage. Why do you think less than 800 Amiga 4000T computers were produced and sold, because nobody wanted them. You could buy an Amiga 2500 or a very nice PC for a lot less money, and that is what smart people did. 🤔
Actually, the Amiga 4000T is a poorly designed, low quality piece of garbage. It is not an Amiga computer, it is in fact an Amiga clone. The Commodore Amiga 2000 is THE best designed and highest quality Amiga model. I have owned several of every Amiga computer model ever produced. And yet, I keep going back to the Amiga 2000. With an IQ of 198, there must be a very good reason for this. The Amiga 500 is my second favorite Amiga model. 😁
I had a 500 in the early 90's. I loved it... I wish....
Thank you
Garbage sound-chip
The size of that motherboard confirms that the Amiga 3kT was twice as powerful as the most powerful PCs :)
Interesting article…..I have a Amiga 4000T 040 tower and the case looks a lot different?
My phone is 5 times more powerful than this. Sure it was neat 100 years ago but now...
