True! The HK-47 instance is one of a few that Jedi can solo. I prefer bringing a friend or two though because it makes the fights go faster.

I don't remember. I know the Bloodguards and Wraiths that spawn with them deathblow so I'd assume the passkey holders do as well.

​​@@outofthisworldburrito Its a nice server and fun to play on, I've played a few different classes and enjoyed them all so far. I'm more of a solo player, and not really digging on quest that require groups to do to things for your class, such as Jedi. That was better in PreCu where you put in the grind to unlock and aquire your robes and sabers. You're literally at the mercy of the community to progress.

​ @Mymenagerie714 I'm glad you're enjoying the server! It is true some things are tied to group play, like defeating Heroic bosses for your master cloak and fifth-generation lightsabers as you mentioned, but the Legends looking-for-group channel and Discord servers are active which make getting into groups easier. There are definitely more activities that you can do solo as well as ways to complete most of the group content alone given you have the patience. Personally, I like that some of the content requires the player engage with others in the game as it helps facilitate the 'multiplayer' in 'MMO'. I've been playing SWTOR again lately and if I wasn't playing with a friend that would be a very lonely experience.

The XG-1 Star Wing, an Imperial heavy starfighter. It is comparable in spec to a Kimogila (Neutral pilot) and B-wing (Rebel pilot). Not exactly the same as either of those but fits a similar role.

Oof yeah the mission gets a lot more simple if you're already an ace pilot like I am in this video. Players in the Legends Discord are typically open to helping with the last stage of this quest if you're ever stuck on it again and you haven't leveled piloting by that point.

I use two macros: one that applies all three of my buffs (Tactics/Focus Fire/Pistol Drillmaster) and one that loops Pistol Drillmaster for inspiration procs while wearing the General's Aspect Aurilia Jewelry 5-piece. I currently have them placed in the first three slots of the 2nd vertical toolbar so if you put them in the same spots I do you won't need to change the below macros. If you don't then just change the number at the end to match the toolbar slots. I also keybind the macros in Options > Keymap > Custom so the macro icons don't need to occupy extra slots in my toolbar. If the collections result in a badge, yes. That unfortunately does include the Meatlump Collections. I've been working quietly working on the Quarantine Zone collections on the side and that's been time consuming too. The Delivery Escorts take so long to complete. 😩

The quest designers were aware of the back-and-forth which I think is why Corellia Legacy has much less of it since that was implemented later. I'm glad you're enjoying the videos!

Kashyyyk was one of my favorite planets to roam as a kid and I still enjoy revisiting it to this day. I didn't do much of the starship piloting as a kid so it was great to experience more of the space-oriented content on Legends.

I'm glad you loved the video! To answer your question, yes, Jedi can be a Beast Master. The reason it isn't popular is because the Jedi skill tree is fairly demanding when it comes to Expertise points meaning you'll be missing a core aspect of Jedi if you allocate more than 1 point to the Beast Mastery tree. For example, you could lose Improved Saber Block or an important skill line in the Path Tree, like improved healing for LSJ or Suffocation for DSJ. Meanwhile professions like Medic can still get all of their healing abilities while putting most of their Expertise points into Beast Mastery and Bounty Hunter will only miss some passive bonuses, debuffs, or defensive cooldowns. Of course you don't need to invest +20 Expertise points to make a successful Beast Master, it just depends what you want to get out of the pet. My advice is always give what interests you a try! I've met a few players who really enjoy, and are successful at, Jedi Beast Master so don't let popular recommendations stop you. Worst case scenario is you find it isn't for you and you switch to something else.

I think some of the sting still comes from the fact you can get a full set of endgame armor for any other combat profession for ~10mil while Jedi needs ~20mil in credits just to get their waist pack. This may also be salt in the wound for players who enjoyed the Force Ranking System of CU and lost that for a loot grind.

Legends is a fan-run emulator and is strict about accounts due to multi-account abuses other players have made in the past. From what I hear staff is very understanding of mistakes so I'd suggest encouraging your friend to submit a ticket via the help desk to sort out any issues they may have with their accounts: swglegends.com/support/ Using your level 90 boost in an undesired way is frustrating but not the end of the world. If you don't want to quest up to 90 then there are plenty of AFK groups you can join and level with in-game. A few days AFK and a level 5 character can be 90. I of course encourage questing to 90 as I think it is fun, as demonstrated in this series, but I also get some people don't want that kind of experience again with this game.

Yeah which is why I probably wouldn't bother trying without at least a Medic and Officer (like I had in this video). The research facility is really difficult to move in once you get down to the level 91+ NPCs so time is definitely the limiting issue.

They are only active for a short period of time every year so they're easy to miss.

I'm glad you loved the video! I agree that the rewards for the Mustafar instances are excellent especially at the expansion's release. The rewards are so good that many are still relevant and collected to this day like the Sprint Enhancement Stim, glowies for the Lava Crystal, and glowies for the Taming necklaces. Legends helped expand the relevancy of the glowies too as many are now part of schematics or components for many Mustafar weapon skins that used to be unavailable as crafted variants, like the AK-Prime Rifle. My greatest issue with the Mustafar instances are the fight mechanics themselves. I realize that most of them likely felt better when the challenge was much higher. For example, in HK the Forward Commander's stacking buff used to be something worth managing and CY's Kubaza Beetles did hit hard, but the GK units instantly stripping buffs in a game where buffs are half your build and take time/resources to maintain is very frustrating. I'm glad that on Legends the buffs only get suppressed, rather than removed entirely, as it keeps the challenge of the mechanic without the punishment of potentially needing to go rebuff before facing the last boss. If these instances get reworked/have new versions of them in the future I'd like to see changes that elevate both the difficulty and mechanics of the fights.

By the end of those runs I think we were spending more time picking up missions in the world than in the actual dungeon.

Cool! I don't foresee myself ever trying to do all of the QZ collections again once I've completed them on Vum. I'm happy to do the Death Troopers quest again or run Undead Rancor/Cornburr, but the repetition and randomness in some of the collections make them almost as bad as pulling weeds for Nym... Almost. A quality of life pass on the area, like making changes to NPCs like you suggested, would be great but I also realize that staff would likely rather work on new content or reimplementing content that is unavailable rather than tweaking a zone that's feature complete. An expansion of the zone in the future, like for a Galactic Moon Festival, would be cool once they run out of Heroics to make spooky. The Blackwing Rancor is one of the most popular mutations to go for and since it is a 3rd stage appearance mutation from a dropped DNA it is exceedingly rare hence the value of vorpal durni DNA.

@@outofthisworldburrito That weed collection for Nym's about made me start smoking crack. I think I ended up buying a couple of them. The pathing of the survivors and volunteers was busted from implementation. If anybody tested solo (without 'testing' gear), I don't know how it made it to live. The miners in Droid Army can be told to wait and follow. I was doing the Epsilon defense missions yesterday, dual-logged, and got one to double spawn and it completed for both characters. I haven't been able to reproduce the 'glitch', yet. If the respawn rates were toned down some, it would make a lot of the content solo-able for a lot of people and take smaller groups for the remainder. I get the fast respawn timers. When it went live, it was packed for about a week. After that it was dead, no pun intended. It's a shame, there's not much interest in it. A Galactic Moon Festival event there would be something.

I wish I'd get the double spawn glitch. Much preferable to the camp defense missions never activating at the waypoint causing me to delete and grab them again repeatedly. This has been happening to me at lot at Camp Gamma specifically.

Mainly because there is content beyond a skill grind. For example, I like Jump to Lightspeed and none of the other emulators offer as full of an experience as Legends does in respect to space.

They usually say this if you're a member of the Rebel Alliance or left the faction within the last 48 hours. You must join the Empire before you can interact with any of the Imperial Squadron trainers. You can join the Empire via any Imperial Recruiter. If you left the Rebel Alliance recently you'll need to wait a full 48 hours before you can speak to an Imperial Recruiter.

It definitely seems like the vehicle mounts cause it.

The High Mass early ships are fun to fly, especially in PvP, but the lighter capacitors can slow things down depending on the types of missions you're being given. If I go for Ace of Aces I'll likely keep the High Mass TIE for the early tiers but still switch to a Bomber then Defender for later tiers. You can have a lot of ships stored on your datapad at once so that'll help avoid me having to fiddle with parts too.

I don't blame you. My general recommendation to players lately is to do the Tatooine Legacy and then the first part of the Naboo Legacy. Once you get the AT-RT reward for completing the Kaadara area you then leave Naboo and go straight to Coronet to start the Corellia Legacy. At level 40 your main alternatives to the Legacy Quests would be on Kashyyyk. Specifically the quests in the Kkowir Forest involving the Kerritamba Village and the Etyyy Hunting Grounds. I'll put some helpful links at the end of this comment to help point the way and if you get stuck my 1 to 90 playlist shows me doing all of the missions on Kashyyyk including these two series. Before going to Kashyyyk make sure you have a creature mount, like the varactyl or another mount you can buy from a player, so you can move faster around the Kkowir Forest and Etyyy Hunting Grounds. The Etyyy Hunting Grounds access will also have a required pilot mission. It should be doable by a Tier 2 or Tier 3 pilot but if space isn't your jam you can always ask for help in the Legends Discord. You'll still need to fly a ship for the mission but one player can fly wing to help with enemies. Have fun!
