Kisielius/kissel is not jelly wine. It's a traditional cranberry nectar or juice (if diluted) , which can also be made into pudding, by adding some corn starch. It is spiced with cinnamon, and cloves and sweetened with honey or sugar. It can be sweet or more on the tart side, made to people's personal taste. Add a spoon of egg nog or sweet cream. Popular for Christmas Eve.

@@TravelwithZan if I find some I will let you know, we are hoping to go back next year as well. Thanks for watching and commenting
Our planning is quite simple in that we choose a route we want to travel for our road trips. Being within Europe internet ( and the UK) isn’t an issue and we use our own transport. We are more about the distance between places where we want to stay then night(or nights). During our transfers we love surprises. Things we didn’t know were en route - except in special circumstances where we plan the route to actually visit a designated place. My husband does the accommodation bookings online. When we find somehwhere we like we then research the area for interesting places to visit. Makes the discoveries all the more exciting. You could say, we google as we go. Our navigation system also leads us to supermarkets, restarants, car parks and city centres. Very handy. It gives us options and we select what is appropriate. We have a walking app in which we can either use exisiting routes provided by others who have scouted the area or we can plan our own and add it to the app for general use if it turns out interesting enough to share. There are well planned escapes as well as hit and miss ones. Just depends on our reason for travelling. We so love a mystery tour. Good pointers there Kerryn. Happy holidays. 🎄🇳🇱🧑🎄🥝
We are flying out of Sydney to the US later next year on a 9.40am flight and we intend staying at the Rydges. Thanks for the informative video.

@@JohnandCaraRetiredTravellers hi Cara how are you? They are great aren’t they?
@ yes!!!! 😊
Oh wow, that’s quite a list. It made me think what I do for comfortable travel. Lots of my choices are sort of automatic. My husband has a list on paper. I have it in my head. What I miss ( per chance) if I can do without it I will otherwise I’ll buy it at destination. I find I don’t mess up on major issues, but the little things. A shoe horn for instance. I like to glide into my shoes, not struggle and tread down the heel part. If I forget that I buy one. Mind you these days I’ve got one permanently in my suitcase. I take a 3-plug board with me so I can pop three electrical items on it and only need one International plug. It’s also permanently in my suitcase…that black block looks handy. I will look into that. The blue light would distrub me at night. I buy shampoo toothpaste etc at destination. I feel the weight of these products can be better used for shoes and clothing. I like the water bottles. Good idea. I was given a toilet bag once I found awkeard in use - ended up being my power storage bag. Was nearly identical to the one you purchased. Very handy. Well, next time we travel I may be more conscious of what I actually do 😂! I guess my trips to Down Under the past 24 years have formed my habits and needs. Great ideas there Kerryn. Have a wonderful weekend. 👌🇳🇱🙋🏼♀️🥝
@@IamaDutch-Kiwi thanks, keeping stuff in your bag is a great idea. I am always looking for new ways to down size. We use a shampoo bar, still looking for a conditioner bar I like. What a lovely open and honest review of your friends' experience taking the first cruise ever. I bet this won't be the last trip they'll choose to go on. Lovely interview. Beautiful setting for the interview Kerryn. Loved the toilet review 🤣. Ah see, they'll cruise again. Phil, you also looked like you totally enjoyed the experience - and was it fun having friends along? The cabin looked spacious indeed. And let's face it you are either asleep or off on an excursion..so one wouldn't want to spend a lot of time in the cabin. Kerryn again you have covered all the bases. This is a great help for new cruise wanna-bees! I agree about the pre booking or on the spot booking that the prices can vary. We even have that on our road trips. If the event isn't full they'll reduce the price to get the numbers. Great things to ponder and remember. Have an awesome week ahead Kerry and Phil. Happy days. 😎🇳🇱🙋♀🥝
@@IamaDutch-Kiwi Thank you for your lovely words. We had a lovely time Cole and Liz and I was so happy they had a great time. Phil did have a great time as did I. I am so glad you found my info helpful 😀 I hope it will help new cruisers. Have a wonderful week Anita.

Sorry Kerryn. Usually more attentive than this. It's all very impressive- though the helicopter flight must get a special mention. Wow. That looked so amazing. Then back to the boat and back on board. Just lovely. Thanks for sharing your journey. 👌🇳🇱🙋♀🥝

I am sorry I did not see the notification for your comment. There was a lady with some Mobility issue on our boat. We had actually booked normal tenders before we knew about the excursion tenders. I hope he has a great time.

@@Lunadoglokicat hello not sure what you mean? Have a nice day
I'm glad your cruise worked out. Unfortunately our experience on Pacific Adventure in April was less than satisfactory. Guest Services and the wait staff were good. Our stewards were not, room not ready, included items not supplied, we had to find our luggage ourselves, not a single copy of P&O Goodtimes during our four day cruise and no departure instructions or tags. Then when we were leaving the stewards blocked our exit demanding their tip. The high tea and wine pairing experiences though were good. So I felt Pacific Adventure had fallen a long way from her Golden Princess days.
@@gemcruiser6082 oh no, what an awful experience. I hope your next cruise will be better & that P&O dealt with the stewards probably. Thank you for sharing your experience, I am sorry it is your story to tell.
We have done a number of cruises but this was our first with P&O. Our first had been on the former Golden Princess so we were interested in the comparison. One bad cruise won't stop us though. Our boarding experience at White Bay had been smoothest we experienced, unfortunately it was the disparity of on board service that stood out.
@@gemcruiser6082 I have never embarked at white bay. How do you find the comparison with its former Golden Princess days? I am thinking about trying it next year after it goes to carnival.
I also I think 4 nights is not long enough to get that ‘ feel at home’ feeling. So many activities also makes the days just fly by. Good review Kerryn. ⛴️🇳🇱🙋♀️🥝
Thanks Anita and hello. The ship was lovely and had a very relaxed feeling, just not sure about the length of the cruise. Thanks again for watching and your support.
