Yeah, 54-40 are a great band! I wish I could find a few more albums from them, but they don’t show up in the used stacks here (plus most of their albums weren’t even released here in the states, I think) 🤔👍 Cheers-R

@ Their 2nd to 4th albums were released on Warner Reprise. There was a comp after that and then the label dropped them. From then on, I think in the late nineties there was a brief effort to get them distributed Stateside with a comp called Casual Viewin’ U.S.A. There was another comp called Radio Love Songs, which was not love songs. After that it seems they just released albums in Canada. Perhaps it’s ironic that most of the CDs I bought came from the U.S. Rob at Northern Revolutions says a lot of their albums aren’t available on vinyl even.

But it still didn't beat The Atlantic Kitchen in Fort Sasquatch (or however you spell Sas-cat-che-wan) which is not in that province, but is right next to Edmonton in Alberta. I'm glad I don't live in that province because then I'd be forced to learn how to spell it. But now, i'm totally off topic.

If you ever go back to London and have a day to spare, head over to the capital of the proper british. Cardiff. Home of Spiller Records, the oldest recordshop in the world and so much great music, pubs, craft beer and history from pre-roman day until today. Yes, this Norwegian can't stop being a Wales fanboy 😊

Cardiff definitely sounds right up my street! If I could afford retired expat life in the UK I’d do it in a heartbeat…the weather would probably kill me before my bank account got drained, though 😆

@ Well, it is consistantly wet and somewhat chilly… I would think the insanely divergent temperatures between high summer and arctic winter in places like Chicago would be far more of a shock to the living body 😄 In Denver I got sunburned at Coors field, then snowed on in Aurora the next day and then broncitis returning to a terribly warm and humid NY. Cardiff is amazing 😊

@ Ashamed to say it is the only one of their albums I don't own yet. Sort of kept forgetting and the CD shopping here in Oslo is abysmal. I order most of my CD's as opposed to my vinyl from amazon Germany but only when I'm in Denmark because they are both in the EU. If I order up here in Norway its customs and VAT and all that... jazz.

That Feeder album is absolutely brilliant- you won't be disappointed! 😉 Probably the best place to start would be their Singles double album- all their A sides...all very solid stuff. Yeh 122 Numan CDs and 50 vinyl (albums, 12", eps) and a slew of 7-inch singles as well....I may have a problem! :D

I was going to go to that Blushing show (Skylark Lounge wasn’t it?) but it didn’t work out 🤔 Feeder are excellent- I’ve been a fan since their late 90s album ‘Polythene’ dropped. Cheers-R
