Historically Adjacent Red and Black Victorian Dress | Thrift Flip
Hello, and welcome! My name is Stephanie, and in today's video, we're making a Victorian inspired afternoon dress. I picked up a ball gown from the salvation Army for $2.49 and knew that it would make a beautiful "other dress". So I draped some fabric on my dress form and figured out the boddice. I got scrappy with some scrap fabric to add the black and the lace. Overall, I'm happy with this dress. There are things i'm going to fix and "enhance" but that's for future Stephanie.

I made this Green Linen Pinafore in One Day

In today's video, I am making a pinafore out of green linen fabric. This was so simple to make, it took me only one day. With no pattern, i made my own. Excuse the mess, I'm working on it, but first, these overalls need pockets. . In today's video, I'm flipping these patchwork overalls. I picked these up for $0.25. What a deal. Honestly, it was on sale at simplicity.com . I buy my patterns in bulk when they go on sale. So that's what I made. 😀
@@Stephanie.Rivera I've been looking at free patterns to make a new vest, but I have no clue how to judge which one is the better one without actually making it, which is intimidating. Or maybe I'm just procrastinating...
@@coal.sparks you won't know what you like until you try it. The great thing about sewing is that you can tailor whatever you want to make directly to your body. You can Make a mock up with a fabric you don't much care for before making the vest you want. I just went straight for it. I figured it will either work out, or it won't. I realize that not very helpful, but that's my philosophy. Either it'll work, or it won't. But if you don't try, you won't get what you want.
