Showing the wonderful mistakes you can make with bad ukulele skills and good relative pitch.
I used to shy away from putting my art out into the world because... what if it wasn't perfect? But perfection is an illusion, and if anything but perfection is a huge mistake, I'd rather make mistakes than not make anything at all. This channel documents just a small selection of my mine, and I plan on making a whole lot more of them.

It's my birthday, and as a present to myself I'm putting my rendition of this sublime song into the world...with plenty of mistakes that almost made me scrap it, and my sweet orange cat lad making an absolute racket in the background. (If you look really carefully you can see a twinge of wild desperation in my eyes as I repeatedly spot him about to topple my camera tripod, or push my laptop off the table, or aggressively rub his face against the microphone. He kept a lid on the most egregious possibilities until the very end. I was lucky, and I know I'm lucky to have him so...first world problems.)

The quiet resentment in this song is so powerful. It had to be a one-take: just me and my ukulele. Even without the arpeggios, the shape of this song is so strong and so beautiful. I've been feeling the lyrics of this one a lot of late, and that meant it had to make its way on here. I’ve” looked everywhere for this song. I started watching Troppo several DAZE ago,and have binged on season 1, now on 2, putting aside various duties 8I should be doing. GREAT SHOW! First episode I began looking up the theme and kept thinking I was doing something wrong as I couldn’t find it. Unbelievable!, Not familiar with either of the stars,( live in Seattle, Wa) but am really enjoying them , great chemistry. I thought the singer sort of sounded like Eddie from Pearl Jam… Never heard of Pyke but will look for more. 😊Thanks, all around. Is that the writer, singer ?

I'm unsure on the answer to your question as I'm just going off the credit from the show that said Josh Pyke, but he's a musician so I'm guessing he's also our mystery singer. What is the biggest disappointment about the album: Only couple tracks that were played on FM Radio, were "Jump into the fire", and that terribly overplayed song, "Without You" - was all the radio played. Never heard this track - until ONLY RECENTLY IN LIFE😅! Great🎉 rendition ❤.
