Tons of potential but squanders quality. Wages are low so people cant afford these new homes. Rents are overpriced and there arent many tenants rights. Whos going to live in all these new buildings; high unemployment and increased homelessness. Crime has increased, with shots heard every weekend. The greenspace and canal are very nice, as are the museums and festivals. But stop glossing over that indy is getting more ratchet than 5yrs ago and gov pays more attention to concentrated cash for some vs general quality of life for all. I've lived in Fort Wayne since '97. The reason it's cheap is because it's a soul-crushing place to live. Summers are hot, winters are cold, people are reserved and highly opinionated, overweight, and they think it's still 1950. The outdoors are boring. Leave the city and it's just farmer's fields. The cheap living is disappearing because more people are moving here. Home prices have doubled.

Indiana is a wonderful state! Living in Indy or a suburb of Indy is expensive. But smaller towns are great! And yes, I am a republican! And proud of it!

Everyone forgets about the lake life in NE Indiana. There are lakes of all sizes here, some very large, and full of fishing, boating, water sports, canoeing, and kayaking. We have some lakes so large that restaurants have lakeside access. Most of these lakes also have public access ramps for boats, so you can place your boat on a trailer and drive to just about any lake you like. So we’re not just depending on the little bite of Lake Michigan we have. Another nice point is being within a few hours drive of Chicago, Toledo, Detroit, Grand Rapids, Cincinatti, Cleveland, and St. Louis. Being centrally located does have its advantages!

For singles over 40, Indy can be challenging. Downtown isn’t what it use to be, Broad Ripple is a better option. Eagle Creek area looks interesting.

I would consider Indiana. California is way too expensive, overpopulated, and full of crime and gangs. Indiana seems safer, less populated, cheaper, and four seasons

I just came across your video. I work in ag. I can't believe the negative comments you said about the herbicide, fertilizer usage. Ag must be a easy target. Look at all the other industries in Indiana. Your a realtor. Look at all the homes with the beautiful green yards. In proportion they use more fertilizers, herbicides and insecticides then farms do.

Why live near a big city? Thats the last thing I want. Tiny town in southeast Indiana, 40 min from Cincy, 40 min from Indy, house cost $65000 in 2021. Easy living.

Im from Marion Indiana, ive lived in most of the cities and towns around it. Fairmount is the birthplace of James Dean and Jim Davis (Garfield). Gas city, Jonesboro, Huntington, Upland, muncie, Kokomo, and even Ft. Wayne i have never lived in a town or city in Indiana i have disliked. The only complaint i have is winter 😅

I grew up in Evansville, lived in Ft. Wayne for 4yrs, and then moved out of state (MD, GA, MO, TX). 10yrs later, and I'm back. I actual prefer the 4 seasons. It makes for that nice "in-the-middle" climate. Lots of complaints about my bumbkin-ass state. But it's MY bumbkin state..lol Ft. Wayne, Bloomington, and Indy are about the only decent places anymore, unfortunately, if you're fresh from out-of-state.

I applied for two accounting internships in Indianapolis, I did not apply for jobs anywhere else other than Indianapolis. Hope they take me! Love Indianapolis, never been there before, but I just look at it on UA-cam, I want to move there!

I just realized why everything is so Indy-centric: air travel. If you need to go anywhere it's either Indy or Chicago. And that means you have a long drive ahead of you if you wanted to travel.

If you are considering moving to Indiana: leave your screaming me me junk at the border, I left Chicago, IL.and moved to Indiana to enjoy a conservative Christian lifestyle, with lower prices all the way around. Born and raised here wouldn’t want to live anywhere else, summers humid, winters can be cold, I live 30 minutes west of Indy out in the country yet the small towns I shop in are only 8 and 10 minutes away only go to Indy a handful of times a year for sporting venues and an occasional dinner I love it here!
