FW190 Werk Nummer 173056 First Flight
After ten and a half years of restoration, Fw190A-8, werk nummer 173056, took to the air on Sunday 2011, October 9, for the first time in 68 years since wrecked in a French rail yard during the late years of WWII. Owned by Don and Linda Hansen's engineering company of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and flown by test pilot Klaus Plasa from Munich, Germany, two flights were made that day, the first a short flight to test flight characteristics and systems, and a second flight to include maneuvers and stalls shown in this video. Additional test flights will be made to expand the flight envelope of the aircraft and to check systems reliability.

美しい工業製品
That photo shot layout and color is so beautiful like a still life painting. Had to do a double take to make sure it was real.✨
Wrong engine and it looks rediculous with those incorrect prop blades..
+EnglishTurbines The Flugwerk replica Fw-190s have a lot of differences from factory wartime examples.
Is it missing the wing mounted guns or is it a lighter armed variant?
+Treu Reaper45 The Flugwerk Fw-190 replica kits were not sold with hard points for replica weapons. Although the buyer could possibly add dummy barrels depending on local laws.
Wunderschon und wunderbar, umlaus fehlen aufgrund English schrift.
Goes like a train!
Wow this is a old post. I was thinking this is the first time one seen a 190 flying. So at 6:50 and 7:50 testing the 190 stall characteristics?
+Woody 5326 There is only one WW2 original Fw-190 that is flying. ua-cam.com/video/qhAgU-GUc1Q/v-deo.html
Great video. Thanks for sharing.
americans can not build anything today
Bullshit and you know it, du dicke Kuh. The best fighters in the world are built in the US.
Beautiful restoration guys! is the colour scheme attributed to a particular Luftwaffe pilot?
The colors are very close to Hans Dortenmann but the number i believe is not.
If only go pro's were available in ww2! Nice .
AHHHH, The sweet sound of DEATH.
Kojedub in panic ----Gering took motor Lavochkin 7 and replace into FW 190?!?!?!!!
Replica Fw-190 with Russian motor.
Good lord I would be paranoid landing that thing... How much is it worth?
+J. M. Studios Not worth as much as a genuine WW2 restoration. The Flugwerk replicas differ from authentic WW2 examples in several ways (different construction.) But it is still a great replica from Flugwerk.
@@FiveCentsPlease This one would be in between, in price because it is at a percentage original, with flugwerk parts. I believe it is close to 50%original, the wings are, for a fact.
@@giannistsoukatos4205 When Don Hansen built it, he said it was about 10% original Fw-190 from W.Nr 173056.
it fly's beautiful
Works like a charm

the old woman in the pickup truck is messaging AL GORE about air quality.
Lovely video, the lovely fw-190 is my favorite germen aircraft off all time ☺
This should not be called a resto but the Flugwerk-Kit built to airworthyness. Give it an original BMW 801 and restore it to flight condition then you can call it a resto. An original serial number and Markings do not turn it into a Focke-Wulf.
+fockewings Different construction internally in some places so you would also have to rebuild it to factory specs to call it an original.

Seven, actually. ;-)
Looks and sounds amazing!
some gorgeous tail fin shots there, love it
Boy they were good looking aircraft _b
is that the real BMW engine!?
***** Nope. This is one of the Flugwerk replica Fw190s, combined with some original WW2 parts. The BMW engines are quite rare and expensive to overhaul and maintain so one of the goals of the Flugwerk project was to make the planes more affordable. The ASh-82 radial was chosen to install in the replicas, although two buyers have decided to use R-2800 engines instead. Only one WW2 original Fw190 flies with a BMW engine, and there is another in restoration to fly soon.
Actually the 190 & 109 did face Corsairs,Hellcats, and Wildcats. The Royal Navy flew all three fighters. If the Bearcat did encounter the Fw 190A,F or G I would put money on the Bear. But the Dora or a Ta-152, that might be a different story. The Bear does still hold a few climb records. It is true though, the Bear was modeled after the Fw.
Don't forget Hawker Sea Fury. The three of them, Bearcat,Sea Fury & TA-152 that would be a show.
Fat Goering to the pilots during Battle of Britain,"I am here to help you what is it you want? Fw-190s, mein Kommandant!" LOL
