My girl Thea is complete. The artwork is called Open Hands. It is a coming of age story where the wind acts as a representation of the flow of time, pushing here away from Home and shown on the sign which is pointing away from here. the wind/time is pushing here into the big world, she need s to learn to let go of comfort, to step into greater knowledge or the unknown (the world). This can be scary for young adults who first start to let go of home, spreading there wings and finding there own paths, so this sculpture is made to represent that stage in life that we have all been through. So, Open your hands, let the wind take you into the unknown, outside of your comfort zone!! 😊
