The satisfaction and pride you get from producing something that is your work, from your imagination and creativity is evident here. You have filled gaps and produced aircraft models which have meaning to you. I cannot Code 3 at all- wouldn't dare but you are excellent at it. I have weathered a few and have been scruffing up the Corgi Sunderland since before COVID! Every time I think that will do I do a bit more.
Woo..
Nice work Mark, they look excellent. Code 3s are great to do. They give you so much satisfaction as you see them progress into a unique one off. I love doing them.
Look good mate!! I've always been a little worried about doing code 3 stuff!! I used to build kits 20 years ago and was so self critical then, and I assume my hand and eye coordination are a lot worse now,haha...although I have just bought a couple of kits of aircraft that aren't covered in diecast to start filling some gaps!! But haven't had the balls to start them yet, haha 👍👍
@@heavymetaldiecast if you haven’t got one - time to invest in an airbrush. I’ve just dabbled in cheap aircraft off eBay sometimes damaged so I can learnt the process. Slowly getting there.
@@diecastwingscollectors I used to have one when I had all my kits but gave it away. I have a compressor for spraying real cars though I think it might be a little too powerful, haha. Airbrush sound like the way to go through and probably these days might be a little cheaper and more user friendly than the one I had 20 years ago, haha. I had bought an Gemin Aces F-4K recently and when I got it the wing tip had been poorly repaired and a big glue thumb print on the paint!! Guess that might be my first attempt, at least its all a soild colour 🤣
Nice collection mate, I haven't got the space for something like this. Cool to see though man👍
@jackbarnes8037 it’s so big I don’t even know a cabinet that can take it! Maybe one of those morplans but they are so expensive
Nice plane. But we deserve a better model...
Wish they wud do a 1.48 scale lysander with the agent going the ladder.😊
I'm going to have to increase my yearly die-cast toy budget
New memory unlocked 🔓: I had that that green plane with the cargo in the middle that is showing on the left of the cover page
That SEA camo on that Sea King will look great!!! That Cat looks awesome too!! Hope they have plenty of spare antennae's, haha. Wish Corgi would do a D version of the 190!! Great video!!! Some Dornier Do-17 releases would be nice, haha
Hammers!!!! I only know that because my son watches soccer...whoops football 😉 He's a Chelsea fan whatever that means something about blue🤣 would be awesome if they got this old girl air worthy!!!!
Nicely done Lads!
Can you please show me the code on the box of RN201, my son really wants this plane but can’t find it anywhere
@@katherineomahoney749 this is a code 3 of an existing corgi aircraft repainted by my friend Garry so is technically a one off
@ thank you for replying, my son wants to know is your spitfire kla diecast?
I have 12 in my collection all from Hobby master except one from century wings (a intruder). I do not collect old aircrafts like WW1 and 2. My favourite model is F16 and I have two of em (one from the Hellenic forces -Greece and the other from IDF - Israel Defence force). Another of my favourites that I have is the Prowler which was used in desert storm (Dawn of Destruction). I also have a A10 in D-Day markings, the Mig 31 looks big and impressive next to other aircrafts. I love all my aircraft and now putting some accessories like tow trucks and ground crew and equipment to bring it to life. I can stare at it and be happy

If JC Wings get the Calibre Wings F-14 mold that would be the best move for them, as the current JC Wings F-14s have a few annoying issues!! There in flight set up is terrible!!!
@@heavymetaldiecast 100% confirmed my friend
Fantastic collection, thanks for sharing!
@@GGJaguar thanks Greg my pride and joy
Good info, thanks!
@@GGJaguar thanks Greg!
@@diecastwingscollectors Maybe in a "Part 2" you can discuss choosing a single scale versus mixing different scales in collection. I'd be very interested in that! Thanks again for the great vid!
where do you get these
@@LiamMartlew hi buddy - eBay airshows Facebook marketplace and model shops as well as online shops and direct from corgi and Hobbymaster etc
@@diecastwingscollectors awesome, thanks for getting back! beautiful collection man
I've bought all my models online!! 😂 Themes help keep the costs down 😂, I started collecting anything military aviation and it killing the bank balance 🤣 Pays to shop around big time, you see so many of the same model at different prices it can do your head in!!
Some other places to get cheaper models are sites which advertise the results of house clearances- I have acquired some rare models at really cheap prices from them. And true- collect what you want and what you like. Themes emerge as you go. Though I originally only wanted to collect RAF Bomber Command things (my first model was Admiral Prune bought at East Kirkby) things grew as they do! Still waiting for a Hampden. 21 years on.......lol!
Cheers mate
F-22 is an awesome looking bird. The Mirror Coating offering from Hobby Master is insane!! The Raptor is much sexier than the F-35 😂. I really wish his answer about the retirement of the A-10 didn't make so much sense 😢!!! I do love some "brrrrtttt" action!!! One of my favourite aircraft!!
As a collector you often open a box hoping it's easy to get the model out, haha.
Didn’t know you are a hammer! COYI⚒
@@Peter-l1n8g just a bit - sporting my new cup winners cup final shirt from 1976 ⚒️⚒️⚒️
Mate I listen to metal and I collect diecast (obviously, haha) and I love a He-111 so the Motörhead He-111 is one I am definitely grabbing!!! 🤘🙂🤘...I bought the TSR.2 what if also 😂 which I did a review on.
Are there any models for sale? Can I buy from your store?
Hi
is this item for sale
If you had to choose at least 3 favorite Corgi Spitfires which ones would they be? I'm interested in buying some in the future.
@@sean891 right a tough one but here it goes… 1) the new mould IX ml407 - Just immense 2) spitfire 1 P9734 ‘j’ - My favorite Mk 1 3) spitfire XIV ‘ginger Lacey’ SEAC Covers all the bases! The old mkIX and V are not great - that’s a pretty good overage of the best they do Hope that helps
@@diecastwingscollectorsYes it does, Thanks very much! I'll check it out. Maybe you can use that as a new video topic...🤔😉
Up Mark
Holy shit! Who needs to go to a airshow. AWESOME collection, thanks for sharing.
.A really great model from Corgi, I'm absolutely thrilled with it, it's really well done and it goes perfectly with my B17 from Corgi. Great video, thank you very much for the information.🫵👌👍👏🫵👌👏
Nice! I have a large collection myself, and I believe this is the only plane that I don’t have at least one of from corgi!
Why no Italian aircraft from Corgi, they have so many cool WW2 aircraft.
I don’t know whether there is a massive appetite for a £60 Italian aircraft - but with the more obscure me410 being redeveloped- will Be interesting to see how it sells
@@diecastwingscollectors new markets might help, Corgi, seems to needs to move forward, too many of the same re-painted design’s. There is a whole world of aircraft out there, and potential new customers. I know I am tired of the same aircraft near year after year, time for interesting new model, every which has an history ! .
Looks good! 👍✈️
Just found you guys now and this is the first video I watched, and glad I did. Fantastic news about Gemini coming back and I also wish Dragon would do the same!! You all certainly seem to have a huge amount of knowledge within the hobby. I am still fairly new to the scene. Great Video!!!!
Thanks buddy always a pleasure watching your videos on the way to work in london - keeps me relatively sane! Maybe a future guest on wings monthly if you’re up for it?
@@diecastwingscollectors Oh appreciate you watching. Hopefully I don't get it wrong too many times. I am no way an expert, my views are always just as an "Average Joe" way of looking at things. I don't judge too harshly each build unless there is something absolutely massively wrong, haha. I mainly started the channel just doing videos that I wanted to see myself but couldn't find a lot that was in the format I wanted. The people you have on are extremely well versed in the hobby and have a huge amount of knowledge. I'm not sure if I would be that good a guest,haha..I always say I have a face for radio and a voice for silent film 😂...its why I let my sausage fingers do the talking, haha. But maybe if you think I would make a worth while guest sure thing maybe sometime down the road once I have learned a little more, haha. Appreciate the offer!!
Nice! a B-52 a friend you can depend on!👍✈️
As a orginal member of MHI who has stayed active on all of the versions of the MH forums this was great to put more faces to names. I met JB at a Airshow in Redding California years ago & have met Martin & the guys from Flying Mule several times at there warehouse. This brought back so many memories from our shared experiences to insider info which I had but was expanded on with their stories.
