Shapeoko cnc overview and remaking custom flag.
On this episode we are going to show you an overview of the Shapeoko cnc. We sent a flag to our friends over at Black Diamond Guns and Gear, and it got destroyed going through the mail, so this is a perfect opportunity to show you how your ideas can become custom designs on a wooden flag. Hear at JC Builds we believe customer service is just as important as workmanship and quality, so we are building them a completely new custom flag and shipping it out to them.

How to build a rustic American flag gun cabinet
Переглядів 43 тис.4 роки тому
In todays video we tried something a little different. I hope you find it entertaining. This video details how to take the American flag we showed you in previous videos, and how to turn it into a rustic gun cabinet. These cabinets are not a replacement for a gun safe and if you have small children this is not a safe way to store your firearms away from them. This was only the second time I mad...
Extremely easy pallet to wine rack build.
Переглядів 5 тис.4 роки тому
On todays episode I build a rustic wine rack out of an old pallet I found by a dumpster at Home Depot. These wine rack builds are ridiculously easy and a great beginner project. I didn't include any measurements or make this a how to video because there are so many different shapes and sizes of pallets out there, so my measurements would be inaccurate for your build. Instead this will give you a...

Need Break from making stuff in the stores let them see how it is to be the end of the world when I stop making things for life cause I care akout some people that want a surprise in life in want to e made by moms now that i already am ima need all my shit back
Sacrifice the ones that didn't wanna see me make it
Come face the real me 💗😗
Who wanna be a pot
Same last name as my people but we had to change a lot of things cause they came to the wrong state with the same name in I been here seens birth not the street way
The only reason I was safe cuz I have a mom that cares the meeting is for the people that has my name on them in did surgery on someone not yours
I didn't ask them to make my flag stuff for the dope u no what time it is mark on my left side of the belly cuz for a reason due to the date of my switch at the hospital
Gta do wat I gta do I don't change body in they jealous if I have a kid I gta change my name the one my mom gave me for no bitch star name but the court house got something for all that dope might just succeed to them nobody's
Something I love about this is that it’s not as “perfect” as a lot of the other similar ones out there…I get it, it’s a very easy build, but to those of us who don’t regularly work on such things, even this can seem tough. I appreciate it how you distilled it to it’s real essence…it’s kind of empowering I guess. I like the way you did it.
Whered he go
What did you use to secure the 3 braces on the back to the flag?
How long did it take you to make one flag start to finish
Did you sand any?
Came for a gun safe, was not expecting a SNL skit XD
Thank you
Good video! Forget the pocket screws. 1/4 inch luan. Wood glue the stripes. Use a Betsy Ross stencil and paint it. Forget the 2x11 back. Use 1/2 sanded plywood.
Oh and forget the polyethylene. Use magnets!
good video but hated the music.
Dude i love the video. Seriously well done
Could you make one of these for me and ship it to the UK
Awesome intro you got a new subscriber in me for sure 🤣
I did it with the Woodglut plans.
Only change I made was use a metal stencil - other than that your process worked out well for me - thank you.
I know this was 2 years ago but I’m trying to build this flag and I’m using the same stencil but the stars are coming out terrible, the lines aren’t nice and straight their is overspray and a lot of bleeding, am I doing something wrong or any tips?
Thousands of lifetime projects with Woodglut plans.
What Router bit did you use for the stars? Thanks, Gary
Looks great! What size was the stencil?
Man I cannot get my union square against the stripes no matter what I do, advice?
Any locks or latches? RFID or Fingerprint?
Thank you! Helped so much for my school project!
Awesome flag!
Thank you
Love the build man. Wondering if you could share your carbide file on the union.
I'm working on publishing multiple CAD files that will work with carbide motion and other cad machines. With a variety of bits
Wow pitch black video so excited I can't wait
Sometimes just listening is all we need
Will this work even if I don't want a American flag as the picture frame?
Sure it will work with any design you want. Get creative!
@@JCBuilds thanks
Lmao.... omg... love your opening act.
Thank you! It was alot of fun filming
Amazing! No CNC! Much appreciated! Great WOODWORKING (vs computer programming) video!
We don't need a CNC to make some beautiful projects!
can anyone tell me about how long this process would take?
When you first start the stars will probably take you around 40-60 minutes (my first flag was around that time.) depending how many you make I was able to get the stars done in 20 mins. In total start to finish about 2 hours to make a flag when you're starting. 1 hour when you get comfortable
@@JCBuilds great thank you
What red white and blue spray paint did you use.
I would like to know as well. It doesn’t say in your description.
I use Krylon brand from Lowes. I think it gives the best translucent effect on these projects. Matte Fire Red Gloss Navy Blue Matte White.
This is painful to watch. I've never seen someone work so hard to build something so simple..
It was painful to build too
So I tried to burn some wood, however my burn spots were spotty. What am I doing wrong
If you hover too long over a spot it'll burn more making things look blotchy. You need to keep the consistency steady. you can always go back over it to make the burns darker. Keep practicing and you'll get the techniques. Just sand it and start over
Great video, what did you use for a hinge for the top stripes to hold that section up?
Pocket holes, and zero clearance cabinet hinges from lowes
Great intro!
I did it with the woodglut plans.
Woodglut is full of amazing tips. It helped me a lot.
My adventure with woodworking started with woodglut plans.
dude is so efficient with his time on the stars!
One question it may sound dumb. But did you use screws or nails for thr bracing in the back..this was an awsome video other then that left out lol.
At the time of the video I was using screws but have since switched to wood glue and 1.25in Brad nails. Same clamping process. It's much faster
I’m glad to find your video using spray paint after the burn. I hesitated buying 3 quarts of stain thinking that spray paint was a good alternative and you proved it is. Thank you. I’ll be using your techniques, Today!!!
Awesome!! Hope it turns out great
How do you secure the pieces? wood glue?
Wood glue and Brad nails
@@JCBuilds love it man thank you for your videos. Do you find that these still sell well?? Gonna try making some when it warms up
What about people who are working with hand tools and very few options, incl no money... Lol will u do one for building one with scrap wood on a budget for disabled veteran families? Lol
could i pay you to make me one of these????
