Why did I start this? Well a few years ago I got very sick and after a few months in hospital and several operations I needed something to focus on to take my mind off things and this was it. That's the amazing beginning...

I’d say, Spray it with oil then air fry. So it will crisp up

You can get things like a takoyaki plate for it as an accessory too. I use it for Yakitori recently

I made these the first time and I made such a mess but now the second time I'm more organised and confident, the patties look so good!! Really does taste like mcdonalds jpn 😂
Great to hear. It’s one of my favorites at McDonalds Japan.
You can have the parties with a bowl of rice and Tonkatsu sauce poured on top of the patties as an alternative too
I wonder what's the function of the string? Also where does it's water came from?
The bottom heat section is solid. The string I guess mixes the heating chemicals to heat once combined. There maybe water in there to create the steam.

I've made some amazing bacon and egg pies from watching your video and they have never failed me.
Nice! i made one recently on UA-cam shorts. I got a commercial pie tin from NZ. This combo of ingredients is what my mother used so I like it. Peas are a bit controversial but they as a burst of sweetness. I see in NZ some cafes as a dollop of eg tomato relish in too. I haven’t done that yet. I’d rather it in the side or with ketchup. Shortcut pastry for base then puff pastry for top is what I’m doing in my individual pie tins. My mum used puff pastry for the base and top.

Dong bo rou needs to melt in your mouth - this recipe calls for more time in the IP maybe make it 1hour then sautéed open lid till sauce is reduced, semi-thickened.
1 hour in an instant pot might result in just liquid
If I scale this for like 8 eggs should I multiply the amount of water as well? I think adding more eggs would suck more heat out of the same amount of water ruining the cook so was wondering if you had some experience with this
Maybe in a later pot give them space to not crack the shells
So yes enough water to cover them.
How much chicken do you use for this recipe? Like if I had to scale it up or down what would the basis be? 500g? 1kg?
That piece is maybe 360 grams to 400.

Whole thing was only $22 from a discount supermarket here in Japan called “OK store”. They do a wide range of A5 wagyu cuts. Meat 🥩 is always on point at great prices. I can’t imagine how much it would cost overseas… a lot.
