Beautiful and strange mountain animals

The Allegheny Mountains have a lot of biodiversity. There are unusual plants and insects along with strange amphibians. Most notably the red-spotted newt which has unbelievably strange life cycle. Also there is a millipede that fluoresces under UV light and those are just some of the amazing creatures in this video.

      I found out that the beetles look the way they look because of pigments and they release a secretion that makes them look smooth and shiny

    Fabulous photography and great identification of the different animals. I have never been to Sussex County, Delaware at the Cape Henlopen State Park. I live on Bainbridge Island, Washington and we get much different types of animals here. Yesterday a Bald Eagle was watching me while circling around. I guess it wanted to see what I was doing. Awesome video thanks for sharing.👍 🦅
