I say start error, but this Skreem had deleted all its data, so there wasn't even a start error message on the cluster.. Big thanks to Paul at LACartech.com he was able to rebuild the data in the skreem and the ME, as there was no data in the Skreem, I had to unlock the original keys and program them into the Skreem with KR55.. The remotes won't work, but if the customer wants to pay for them, ...

Nobody knows the trouble I've seen, nobody knows but all the other folks who are trying to personalize these ME's into these cars... Sorry, couldn't resist.. I have been told by Bulgaria that this has been fixed..twice.. But we are still having this issue.. Big thing, after personalizing, DON"T ACTIVATE..activation locks the module.. and happens after about 50 key cycles, so do all data changes...

The Smart FourTwo from 2016-2018 here in the states is almost impossible to make a key for if all the keys are lost. I saw a news blurb from ABRITES that they could do All Keys Lost..     Hey man, thanks for making this video. Quick question for you. You say you were able to read those two 93C 8 leg devices as well as the MCU, get the bin files from all three and send that data to LA car tech? I just spoke with Paul today and he is wanting me to send them the two modules but didn't offer an option for just sending them the bin files.

      Wow, did you ask him if you can send just the files?? He deals with a lot of people who don't have the ability to read the data from the 8 leg and 64 leg chips...

      ​@@timtracy9442I did ask specifically that. He said they're building a tool so people can be repairing these themselves in the future but for right now he needs the ECU and SKREEM as well as any keys that currently go to it.

      do you really think you can clear all the errors by disconnecting the battery?? if that was so, everytime you disconnected the battery, the CAS and the DME would loose sync .. the cas and the DME have memory chips that save the data that is written into them.. If it was that easy, there wouldn't be any shops replacing these modules.. dealers would go broke, kaos would ensue... But really, no you can't just disconnect the battery and have all the errors go away..

    Do you offer a CAS3+ repair service? The CAS module is not bricked but it seems to be on its way out. When the car warms up it seems that the CAS might be overheating or something and not working, the first time it happened I pulled the CAS relay in the glove and it was hot, I let it cool put it back in and it started right up. Second and third time it happened I did the same thing but the car would not crank, I waited like 35-40 min tried again and it cranked right up. If you do provide this service I would love to have you repair it for me you seem to have a great understanding on how these CAS modules work. Thank you.

      no we don't.. only to locals garages.. I would contact a local locksmith, they should be able to clone your CAS and then you can try that one and see if it is the problem.. My question is, does your car have comfort access?, where the door handles have squiiggly lines on them? we have had the handles, which are the antennaes go bad and cause issues..

      @@timtracy9442 Yes I do have comfort access and it has not worked since I got the car 2 years ago. Interesting, what issues exactly would they cause? Nothing in my comfort access system works, door handles, mirrors folding after locking and unlocking car, keyless start, etc... Thank you for the speedy response and info brother!

      @@dannynavarro126 go find the Comfort Access Module, if it's a 3 series, look in the right side of the trunk, they are usually above the battery behind the insulation.. We have these a lot, when the antenaes short out, it causes the car not to start, if you scan the car, it shows a steering lock fault.. the Comfort module is in the circuit between the CAS and the steering lock.. we usually just unplug the plug on the module.. then ask the customer if they want us to troubleshoot the handles or just leave it unplugged..

    Those of you that have hard time writing a new VIN to donor ECU here's a simple tip open donor ECU (vin coding) dump file in Hxd manually edit the VIN save and write that file.

    Watched this video to see how to rekey the lock and completely skipped the rekey part. "This is how to take apart a weatherguard lock" it is great for that part but still gotta find how to rekey it

      sorry, most of us know how to rekey a lock, the biggest issue with this lock is how to take it apart.. If you don't know how to change out wafers, you should probably take this to a locksmith.. There pretty good at changing out wafers..

      Yeah I know your right. But I've not been unable to do something yet if I can find a video showing it, from rebuilding 4l60e transmission to wiring home fuse box and soldering ps3 components etc. So I'm going check with a locksmith if they can do it or if I need to disassemble it first. I was just wanting to learn to do it all myself.. my moto is "If someone else can do it I can do it! Yeah maybe I can't dunk a basketball lol but most things when it comes to building or fixing I can just gotta find the video of it 😅

    WHICH CHIP IS IMMOBILIZER CHIP? I AM A REPAIR SHOP FIGHTING ONE OF THESE DUE TO BAD SCREEN AND TRYING TO SAVE CUSTOMER MONEY. AND TRYING TO USE A GOOD USED IPC

      the chip that has the immo data is the 24C32 or 24C64 chip that is under the dials... Why wouldn't you just move data over using the cable? I have literaly done hundreds of clusters by putting on bench, read data from old, then read dat from new/used, then overwite the data.. you have immo data and coding data, if you move the immo data and the cluster is coded differently, you are going to have a blank cluster..

    15 April 2024 Thank you for a good video. I rekeyed a 07 VW Rabbit ignition with the larger diameter black plastic collar you talk about at 5:10. I'm a locksmith on the west coast of Canada. Here's my notes and procedure: lookout for that black plastic semicircular piece of the buzzer relay. It and it's spring can come out of the pot metal housing easily. use a scratch awl to mark the relationships of the black collar to the pot metal housing so when you put it back together it will be in the same place as when you started. drill in same location around the perimeter as in the video ( so the hole ends up on the bottom when installed back in the ignition housing) drill right at the intersection of the large diameter and the small diameter of the black plastic antenna ring. clamp black plastic in soft jaws of vise. hold pressure on probe in drilled hole so it is always pushing down on the circular spring clip. twist/pull on pot metal housing while holding it gently with vise grips with them locked on the 2 flats on the housing. try to determine if probe is pushing down on the end of the spring clip. if it won't come out try turning the housing some to realign the clip and try again. it will come out. when it does the front anti drill will fall out - no worries it can only reassemble one way with it's 2 pins into the 2 holes on the plug face. As he mentioned the plug must be turned all the way clockwise for it to slide out of the front of the pot metal housing - this is because of a notch in the plug face and a corresponding projection of the housing. rekey using ASP kit # A-31-306. The key should turn freely with no binding. REASSEMBLY... you might need to clean up the circular groove in the black cap if your drill left bent bits of metal sticking out into it.....dremel and wheel. use tri flow on the spring clip and groove. put together using alignment marks you make before taking apart....push in on housing so it goes over the middle of the spring clip first then use a tiny flat blade to help the 2 ends of the spring clip to get into the groove. Thanks again and keep up the good work.

      @@timtracy9442 ah yes...that is important...2010 -14 One model wanted PCM incode..I tried the OE process and never received the email so I went Abrites...could not understand how to enter to get proper calculation The other more recent Model 2011 CX 9 wanted PCM and AKE incode Still trying to conclude that one

    My weatherguard keys are lost and need replacement keys. The lock numbers are both C4 R785 but most keys I want to order start with K not R? Can you please help thank you

      are you sure its a weatherguard box? do the locks look like these or like an older style? You might be looking at the lock part number..

      not understanding what you are asking... ista-p is a level of software, did your CAS have issues?? have you tried reading with VVDI prog?

      It depends on what you are doing... If you are making keys for a FEM or BDC, ACDP is by far the easiest, if you are trying to read the ISN from the DME, usually CGDI has more coverage... I had a CAS4 that I swapped the DME, nothing wanted to change the ISN in the CAS module.. ACDP said it changed the ISN, but it didn't change it to the correct ISN.. CGDI changed the ISN in the CAS back to the original and then when connected directly to the DME it read and then changed the new/used DME's ISN to the cars ISN.. fired right up...

    Good video, I don’t k know why but I thought the two plug you mentioned being can hi and low was for the ELV for the steering/ignition lock. I myself have broke. One of those myself lol. But it was on a different eis module. But was two green wires blue plug. Thankfully I was able to use a soldering iron to melt the plastic connector back together as it broken into two piece sadly. But worked when I was done. 🤙🤙

      I use ABRITES, you can find it at abritesusa.com It makes it rather easy to read the data from one and transfer it to another.... and if the original is gone, you can read the data from the ECU and get the other data from the car and input it and viola, your up and running

    Hi Tim, I have a 2004 Chrysler Crossfire, and I have had my baby completely overhauled. My mechanic is wonderful. We've cleaned coils, wires, cables, everything. The Check Engine light for the past four years, has intermittently illuminated. The vehicle runs beautifully, but the engine light bothers me. What can I do? Thank you and Happy New Year 🎊

      If you are using VVDI prog, the diagram is right there in the diagrams...

      Yes, I am not sure if the cas writes an ISN to it or not.. I didn't check it after I erased the ISN and then started it.. but the car has been on the road since then with no problems..

    Hey brother. Excellent tutorial, I'm curious where you found the chip layout diagrams for the various clusters. The ADC219 cable manual says there is more documentation on the AD website but I can't find it to save my life.

    Still just as confused as when first started watching video. How can we pull the pin / cs code since we don’t have a bench setup and would like to go to vehicle, add precoded key from dealer to vehicle? Any help greatly appreciated.

      what part of the video confuses you?? If this confuses you, why are you trying to find the CS and pin code? If you are just adding a key with a working key, go to the car, turn car on with working key, then click on enter service mode, it will enter service mode, then click on add a key, put your dealer key in the programmer, it will add the key to the immo and then you are done.... This is aftermarket software that allows you to make and program a key from scratch... If you have a dealer key, you have to get the car into service mode to program the dealer key into the car, to do that with aftermarket software, you need to either have a working key, or use a bench setup, and hold the boot pin on the cluster and put in boot mode, then program the key.. Or if that confuses you, go to volkswagen and purchase ODIS, it's $1,000.00 a year for VW and $1,000.00 a year for Audi, then you can buy your keys from the delaer and just program them into the car with Odis...

    Great video. I have a 2010 ML350 Bluetec that blew the engine and I am swaping a petrol engine. Can you encode the VIN from the Bluetech CR6P ECM into a ME9.7 petrol ECM and disable IMMO with this setup?

      No, you can virgin the ME and then code the VIN into it, but the vin only causes issues with the traction control and brakes.. the rest of the car doesn't care what the vin is in the ME.. As for the DAS data, as I said, you can virgin the ME, and then write the DAS data to it from the EIS, but you are going to have to do SCN coding on a few modules to not freak out the rest of the car...

      @@timtracy9442 thanks for the great info. Would you have an idea of the modules that would have to be addressed? ABS, transmission, EIS, EVL? I would imagine all the DPF, Adblue SCR etc could just be unplugged.

    Great Video......I was debating using Abrites with DAS or wait for the adapter and use ACDP to clone Mercedes DMEs. This video has given me the confidence to use Abrites for this job....Thank you for sharing Tim!!!!

      I have tried to use ACDP and failed.... Abrites makes it easy... It also is awesome at making an EIS for a car when the EIS is gone... Did a W220 last week, the EIS was missing and there was no key... I grabbed a used EIS, read the key password, , then readkey data from the ME, read the SSID from the cluster, both on the bench, put everything back in car, connected OBD, read EIS, clicked on Virgin, AVDI virgined the EIS, now I personalized it with the file I read from the ME, it asked for an SSID, put in SSID I read from cluster, it asked for a key password, I used the password from the EIS I just virginized, remember, key password is only in EIS and Keys, made a key and Viola, the car started.... customer couldn't believe it... mercedes explained they had to tow car to dealer, then order EIS, then 2 keys, then pay $300.00 and hour to have it installed....
