HOW DO YOU PLAY IN AN ASTRONAUT SUIT? | Scarified - Racer X Reaction
Who said this was Plant's bad year? Some of the performances from this concert are the best performances in Rock history. Period.
Gives chills the ending 🍃
I heard an interview with Jimmy and he elaborated about how he would experiment with modifications to his amps and cut slices with a razor blade in his speakers. He never said any references to the time frame that he experimented. But he did say he was always searching for new and different ways to make his guitar sound unique.
People say Jimmy Page is a sloppy player like it's a bad thing. Well this how jawdroppin sloppy playing is
Always my fav song
75 was Plant's worst - had almost no voice nor range... by '77 though he was fantastic and at his best.
No recruitment or hiring position for basis in nowadays metal band
100% absolutely correct with the zelda sountrack comment bro Fairy fountain type vibe
Guthrie played this here obviously live, it differs from the original Erotc Cakes album Version, but in my opinion the drum and bass tracks came directly from the Erotic Cakes. That means: give a hand to Guthrie‘s brother Seth, and, of course to the incredible Marco Minneman.
I prefer you breaking it down like you do. There's a ton of reactions on Zeppelin. I enjoy when musicians deep dive songs.
No comment on that awesome sweater vest ? That tone by Jimmy is insane.
LOVE your commentary. Please keep the videos coming. If able of course! :)
Considering this was their best concert, it certainly wasn’t Plant’s worst year, his vocals were amazing at these concerts for their movie. If this was a bootleg video, that person sure moved around, far away up close & behind them. Unless they pieced their far away footage, with the professional footage. The Song Remains The Same should always be played with The Rain Song, they go together.
It’s hard to make a thirty minute video for it but I totally agree. Almost like Eruption and You really got me
That tapping melody reminds me of the Mystic Potato Head Groove Thing.
1) Those 50s and early 60s Les Paul Standards were much lighter than the Customs of the time and all LPs today. You'd be surprised. One reason they are coveted by players, not just collectors. 2) This is a Sonny Dixon song. It's been covered countless times, but everyone should listen to the Dixon original. Very raw and simple, but not that far off from the Zep arrangement. That little half-step rise in the turnaround is all Zep, though. 3) One of the coolest things you can do if you're a guitarist and music fan is to listen to every live performance you can and hear the progression of Pagey's playing. You can really hear his influences early on. You can hear licks and phrasing and sensibility directly from rockabilly heroes like Scotty Moore (Elvis) and Cliff Gallup (Gene Vincent). Those little quiet, sweet major scale, vibrato-laced licks from BB King. The riff-writing prowess of guys like Jimmy Rogers (Muddy Waters) and Hubert Sumlin (Howlin' Wolf). His got that reckless abandon of Buddy Guy. You can hear the phrasing of Elmore James, with and without the slide. Not to mention his affinity for British and Irish folk voicings on the axe. It's all there and it's pretty cool to hear all those licks get absorbed and turned into something entirely new, especially when he started adding in the African, Middle Eastern, and Indian influences.
Please reaction dimas senopati.....finger style+ singer 👍👍
Liked your reaction. Was your background music Zelda?
please react duck album
This song is perfection. A real piece of art.
I couldn’t agree more. As far as blues goes, there’s not many better
Always brings tears this track. Steven Wilson has an insane ability to produce amazing music with such poignant lyrics. Check out Anesthetize, live at Tilburg….
You should look up the Rolling Stone magazine critique of Zeppelin I. They were panned and dismissed. They compared Plant to Rod Stewart, Bonham hit the drums too hard and yes they acknowledged Jimmy Page s guitar work.
January. Jimmy Page s Birthday
3:27 i like how your head movements was able to predict his phrasing heh.
AWESOME, alien level!
Somewhat of a wood coneissur? Thats what she said
I find it funny that he was so focused on the story being told that he simply toned out the music playing.
GOAT!!
Been really enjoying your content and takes on awesome musicianship bro! If you're taking suggestions still, "Alien Hip Hop" by Nili Brosh and Virgil Donati is super badass and unique. You should give a try
That lick sounds like Tender Surrender
These musicians were only in their early 20s at that time.
I love the live of this song, they do this live absolutely perfect, & I’ve seen it so many times.
This song blew my mind when I saw it as a teenager learning to play guitar :)
04:45 i think its F or G the 8th string.
They do NOT play with in-ear monitors
So I'm TOTALLY subscribing...really enjoyed your thoughts on everything going on and the appreciation for the musicianship...plus I'm very interested in looking into an LTD? guitar
Prob filter pedal.
You should have played The Rain Song with it back to back
JPJ was great but the enterer band was maid of masters in their field that could transition with each other better than anyone from 1 to the next and follow who ever took lead
THIS will be played at my funeral
Many of us have been wondering if anyone would ever again rule the sound of a guitar like Jeff Beck did. I, for one, am done waiting.
I cannot listen to Marco's CD version after listening to this, that's a problem 😂
One of the best songs of the band. Best Guthrie performance ever, in my opinion.
the actual thing behind was, Brian driving past an upcoming, even a tornado on this flatlands. It made him so humble and impressed. You can really feel it.
They just played in Japan. And pigs grant big luck over there
Video as good as Music - LIVE.
I don't understand why this band is so popular. If I want heavy music I find Led Zeppelins guitar tone to be too thin , scratchy and cold sounding. There is no real distinctive "tone" I associate with Led Zep, unlike with bands like Van Halen, Black Sabbath or Queen. Jimmy Page is a decent guitarist, if sloppy, but so what, there weren't too many good guitarists around in the late 60s so you were bound to stand out. Even in a band as derided by snobs as KiSS I'd pick Ace Frehleys playing over Page. Nowadays I would rate at least a hundred guitarists above him. Robert Plant lost his voice only a few albums into their career, meaning over half of his performances are hoarse barks. He's doing bluesy screaming, again so what. Far from being the first or even the best. His voice is quite feminine, and there were a lot of great female blues/ soul singers who sound more powerful than him. Plus his English accent sometimes slips into his singing, making his bluesy singing a lot less authentic sounding. And they did a considerable number of hippy type acoustic folky stuff. Well, some people don't like rap, some don't like string quartets, some don't like country and western and I don't like acoustic folk songs. Including Stairway To Heaven. John Bonham, a powerful drummer albeit one dimensional, but how many people listen to a band for the drums? Live albums from the 70s were infamous for their lengthy boring drum solos which nearly everyone skipped. Plus of course their copious plagiarism. Some of their songs are blatant stealing, like Black Mountain Side and Bron Y Aur Stomp, and some are them doing reworked versions of other peoples songs, like Dazed and Confused and .......well, virtually the rest of their first four albums.
The most amazing thing isn't how well he plays but the fact that all those solos and fillings are IMPROVISED. If you are curious just pick a song of his and listen to several recordings thereof. He is truly mind blowing.
Can't pull that stuff off without the persimmon wood shells😮
Please react to: Keith Urban and John Meyer - When Summer Comes Around This is one of Keith’s hits.
This is the very best of “CMT Crossroads”. And, it lead to Keith and John to go on a mini-tour. Keith Urban is a must sail-down rabbit hole!
