I still believe Melina "is" the GEQ, or rather that she had been the GEQ back when she was actually alive. And the seal/sign across her eye, empowered by the Golden Order/Elden Ring, suppressed the GEQ "spirit"/side in her so that her actual human self can be in control. The player as the Lord of the Frenzied Flame destroys the power of the Elden Ring, thus the power of the seal, thus the GEQ side/spirit/personality whatever is unleashed again.

"The Emperor" feels like SUCH a re-write and is such a hard left turn. Its very obvious that the writers originally had something else in mind for your "ideal lover", but midway through said 'fuck it' and made them some lame mind flayer. Honestly, the Kafka/Lovecraft themes that were originally envisioned for a plot such as being slowly turned into an eldritch creature in both mind and body feels entirely lost here.

Always felt like Drow got a worse treatment by people than even the Tieflings. Y'know, the literal devil-spawn with horns, sharp monster teeth and scary glowing eyes. I feel like if any one race should scare people, its the devil-people.

bg3 was my first experience with dnd. I picked a drow cause i always have one character i try to make when I play games, who just so happens to have a drow like skin tone. Was not prepared for the incredibly casual racism.

Knowing a bit of GRRM, and his relations with religions, I doubt he wanted to build the story of norse mythology. Really, not the case. I think he showed how the concept of society and religions went togheter trough history: -The creation of life itself, the Crucible, venerated by the Hornsents. The focus is the spiral that imho represent the very first cornerstone of life. DNA. The veneration of life itself. Can be found in very ancient religions. -Age of stones, represented by the skin of ancient dragons, and the passage between nomadic life to civilization. A step that shaked the way of living itself (Having gained intelligence, the beasts must have felt how their wildness slipped away as civilization took hold.-Bestial vitality). They venerated the storms, lighting etc. exactly as ancient civilizations. Think about the Greeks, venerating Zeus lord of the thunder. -Age of the forge/fire: Another God, the Fell god, introduced another element of evolution, the smithing ability. His religion represent those ancient believes of sacrifing lives/parts of the body (The fire giant offering his leg to acquire power, and, something often misunderstood, Melina had to sacrifice herself because that is how the forge of the fell God works: SACRIFICE). Something close to religions like the one of the Aztecs. -Age of silver: Civilization blooms, and people start to do high-level scientific things, like alchemy. The Noxs wanted to create a god. This represent the rationalization of a God. They fail because they understood the methods, but didn't had the final ingredient: Faith. True faith. Something that alchemy or research cannot explain. -Age of Gold: Marika's one. A religion of assimilation. It takes elements of other religion and incorporates them in its own (Pots? Hornsents tradition. Fingers? Greater will. Erdtree? From the Greatree, tied with the crucible. Lighting golden dragons? They had their own religion before that. Leyndell? It was a noxian city, as we can get from the architecture). Reminds me of Islam. - Miquella: Literally Jesus in Christianity. Ok, I keep getting the same comment and I’m a patriot and I’m not gonna take it!!!! I’m only kind of kidding lol. I speak in the American or “Amurrican” English dialect. I’ve also lived most of my life in the south, so I pronounce some words and names with a bit of a drawl in my accent. Marika is one such name. When it’s pronounced in game, it is not spoken in the American English dialect, but is instead spoken in various dialects from different parts of the UK. I shouldn’t have to spell it out more than that, but they pronounce vowels differently than they are pronounced in American English. But, that doesn’t make the use of the American English pronunciation of Marika “incorrect”. TLDR: I’m not gonna stop saying Marika that way and no one can make me. AMERICA!!!!!

i think when she say thou art yet to become me , to become a god , shes reffering to a defiance of radagon. He went and did something on his own , something she didnt want in an atempt to best her and he failed. (at least thats what she thought when she spoke those words) like "nice try radagon but you are not yet me a god so you cant best me. As even tho hes part of marika , he also has his own will

I'm truly beginning to think Marika is fake or died a long time ago and was revived by Radagon to become the new god of the coming age

Who’s “Maurka”?

I dont know man. I think you have a lot of good points, but i think you missed a few as well. Marika plucked the rune of death from the Elden Ring in order to stop the gloam eyed queen. Thats spelled out pretty clear. Maliketh defeats the gloam eyed queen, yes also true. The gloam eyed queen uses black flame, which is powered by destined death, which is the rune of death. Marika plucked the rune of death and gave it to Maliketh in order to rob the Gloam eyed queen of her power, thus allowing Maliketh to kill the Gloam eyed queen. That is spelled out pretty clearly in game. My theory is that Melina was the Gloam eyed queen. She is cannonically a daughter of Marika, she could have been an Empyrean when she had a body. When we meet her, she states "i am burned and bodyless". She is a spirit or soul when we meet her. We know spirits can come back to life in the Elden ring universe. The souls are "hewn into the erd tree" Maliketh kills Melina as she is the Gloam eyed queen. Her soul is sent to the erd tree, and Marika gives her new life at the foot of the erd tree. Where she finds new purpose as the kindling maiden. I do feel like maybe our tarnished is somehow related to a demigod. The start of the game has Melina discussing with torrent that we are special. We also seem to get kore help than any other tarnished. Hell, the only ither tarnished to even touch a great rune is Vike, and he was nailing Lanseax the dragon on a regular basis. So, when the Lord of Frenzy Flame burns the Erd tree to dust and jills the spiritual form of the Erd tree, Melina's memorys of being the gloam eyed queen are unlocked. Hell, maybe even when we release the rune of death. She does seem to be a fan of death after all.

Watching this video, I was also thinking. Along the DLC, through the Miquella's crosses, we see quotes from MIquella, like, "I abandon here my so and so part of my body/soul", and near those crosses you can also pick up little flowers (Empyrean-Blood Burgeon item), and when you find St.Trina she's also a plant.

Honestly, with the lore drop of Miquella abandoning aspects of himself like St. Trina, which are still independent living entities, I 100% believe Melina is an aspect of Marika, and is specifically the Gloam Eyed Queen that was fully unsealed by the defeat of Maliketh and freeing the rune of Death. It all makes too much sense

Tbh now that the DLC dropped, there’s a couple things here and there the DLC smacked down but I think you’re on the money with a big chunk of that.

Messmer has probably dethroned Miquella as my favorite Elden Ring character.

Dude, this is solid gold! I think that you are correct with Radagon being the puppet master behind the scenes. I believe that the seduction was him, using marika's body, convincing the hornsent to use the flesh of the shamans to forge the Gate of Divinity and then the betrayal was him sending messmer to slaughter them all.
