Sarson ka saag | winter speciality | village |traditions by Sizzling Chef
Sarson ka Saag Recipe
Ingredients:
• 1 bunch mustard greens (sarson)
• ½ bunch spinach (palak)
• 2 cloves garlic, chopped
• 1 inch ginger, chopped
• ¼ onion, chopped (Green onion chopped)
• 7,8 green chilies
• ½ tsp salt
• 2 tbsp cornmeal (makki ka ya Gandam atta)
• 2 tbsp ghee /oil
Instructions:
1. Wash and chop the mustard greens and spinach.
2. In a pressure cooker, combine greens, chilies, salt, and we Cook for 4-7 whistles.
3. Mash the cooked mixture and stir in cornmeal.
4. In a pan, heat ghee and sauté garlic, ginger, and onion until golden. Add the saag mixture and simmer for 5 minutes. Serve hot with makki ki roti.
