David Gilmour & David Bowie Comfortably Numb "Remember That Night" at Royal Albert Hall 2007
Hello,
Is there anybody in there
Just nod if you can hear me
Is there anyone at home
Come on now
I hear you're feeling down
I can ease your pain
And get you on your feet again
Relax
I'll need some information first
Just the basic facts
Can you show me where it hurts
There is no pain, you are receding
A distant ship smoke on the horizon
You are coming through in waves
Your lips move but I can't hear what you're saying
When I was a child I had a fever
My hands felt just like two balloons
Now I've got that feeling once again
I can't explain, you would not understand
This is not how I am
I have become comfortably numb
Okay
Just a little pin prick
There'll be no more aaaaaaaah!
But you may feel a little sick
Can you stand up?
I do belive it's working, good
That'll keep you going through the show
Come on it's time to go.
There is no pain you are receding
A distant ship smoke on the horizon
You are only coming through in waves
Your lips move but I can't hear what you're saying
When I was a child
I caught a fleeting glimpse
Out of the corner of my eye
I turned to look but it was gone
I cannot put my finger on it now
The child is grown
The dream is gone
And I have become comfortably numb

Where were you when I was burned and broken While the days slipped by from my window watching And where were you when I was hurt and I was helpless Because the things you say and the things you do surround me While you were hanging yourself on someone else's words Dying to believe in what you've heard I was staring straight into the shining sun Lost in thought and lost in time While the seeds o...

The Awesome Jack Johnson, Donavon Frankenreiter and G-Love at the Orange Lounge Recording Studio in Toronto.
On Freddy Kings version of this song, you can hear Leon playing. Is simple but brilliant.
😍🕺🏻🎸🥁🎹😍
Three solid souls
They are the best together
Not the best two to sing together but otherwise as good as it gets.
Something beyond fun...
Brilliant but I still love JJ’s album version even more
OKIE/SOO/PREAM!
History Lesson. JJ and Leon playing Don Nix’s song. Freddie King version and Joe Bonamassa’s version at the Greek.
Don Nix wrote this for Elvis. But he didntwsnt to do it?????💃💃🤪🤷♀️
There are several others that did this little tune..Jeff Becks is my fav💃💃💃🤪🤷♀️
Freddie King does a version with Leon that's a killer....
Great groove. Pity about the missing vocals in the mix....
The Tulsa trio of JJ, Leon and Carl Radle on bass making some good vibes as they always did. All part of the fantastic Tulsa sound. Clapton would come into town along with George Harrison during Church Studio to jam with them and even hit some Tulsa music hotspots, at times sitting in with the band. Great times in Tulsa during the '70's.
I lived near Tulsa for 9 years & they have more GR8 bands playing in bars than most cities have visit! Oklahoma is a GR8 place for music lovers! Also saw Leon at the Kinetic Playground in Chitcago when he was with Joe Cocker & the Grease Band, early 70s..
The best ever. Even in 2023!
REALLY !
Turn JJ's mike up a wee bit! I know he sings in a low key manner, but he's completely drowned out here. I love his voice too much to not be able to hear it! Still great to watch anyway. Thanks ❤
That good old Texas boy, Tommy Shannon, Stepping Up there 2 ? Chock.
Just gotta love both of these guys! Can’t help but hear that great JJ Cale rhythm guitar all the way through! The vocals are a bit sketchy but no fakery here just old analog performance 🤷🏼♀️
This is the loosest tight groove I've heard in ages. It just locks together from start to finish & who better to serve it up than JJ Cale & Leon Russell. Two of the hottest audio cooks in music. No wonder that every muso of worth & talent, including Eric Clapton wanted to jam with them. Just check out the musos they connected with. Enough to make the dead arise & boogie. ❤
❤❤ GOD BLESS YOU! LEON RUSSELL,FOR ALL THE BEAUTIFUL MUSIC JESUS GAVE YOU TO SHARE WITH ALL OF US!! ❤❤
Damn! Muddy would be proud. Doyle is a monster.❤
Two boys from Oklahoma kickin' ass
Value ...
Great tune but a really shitty video. Too much overlaying so you can’t see either artist
Леон Рассел +J.J Саle ( Дж. Дж. Кейл).....это чудо из чудес.... люблю Вас !!
Well hell...let me go down
I've never heard jj cale play lead guitar that well but seriously doubt that's him .
Watch the footage of 10 Easy Lessons from this session, they focus on his hands and it glorious.
Awesome Tulsa sounds 🤩
Nunca vou esquecer
Loved both and still listening today, since the 60s❤️✊🏼
;P
This is as best as it gets
I can't be the only person who finds this amazingly talented piano man gorgeous xxx

Heaven has got to be rockin !
There's a staircase in the newly renovated Church Studio and at the top of the bottom door of the staircase it says the chorus to this song .
What’s the guy in the rainbow bowling jacket left of Leon’s role in the band, is hey playing a clav or a Hammond b3 or is he like a dj/mixologist that’s cue’ng up lo-fi auxiliary sonic loops for white noise/depth? Also who’s on bass is it Carl Radle?? Thanks y’all livin on Tulsa time in the blue ridge
Yep that's Carl and Larry on electric piano, Leon is on the B3
@@michaelgioia776 - leon is not playing B3- not in this video. not sure what u r talking about. piano brother piano.....
My comments weren't for this song it was for No sweat and Roll on
Too bad you can't hear the piano. Larry Bell on organ!
wow...do they hang with the groove. this is some seriously righteous and badass RnR
Great googley moogley them boys done stomped a Muddy Water’s mudhole on that stage!!!
Doesn't show JJ's guitar work, but u can get the message...,if you listen up nice jam from two Tulsa Okies!
Listen to.leon say down down down oooohhh yeah I'm up all night now 😆🤣😂lol
I wish I could resurrect Leon and jj praise the lord 🙏
✨💖✨
Wonder if anybody remembers who wrote this song? It wasn't Freddy King - although he did a great performance of it. It was Don Nix, a songwriter from Memphis, and it is one of his biggest compositions.
Don Nix recorded a lot of great country style gospel music too
Don wrote this song after he fell out of a story window! He fell asleep sitting near it (open). He tells the details in his book.
Love them both.
