HUD now works with 64 bit. The HUD no longer starts up automatically you must now press the on/off button keybind to load your hud (this is a measure to avoid future problems if bis once again pushes and update that breaks the hud system).

Note all most all of the sounds in this video will be replaced, and are currently been worked on by McChaffee. We have manged to get much great MP performance with the rewrite. Blink and you'll miss it but scorch has also added animations to the chutes when they open.

Sound effects and backpack models are been worked on currently by TheDog. Note the red and blue bars on the top right. Red is time till the pack overheads and needs to cool down. Blue is the total fuel you have left.

    Loved playing this mod. It was years ago I first started, lots of fun was had! Coincidentally, many years later, I ran into the dev on an ARMA server and he instigates team killing, shoots at friendlies, abuses vote kick, changes friendly squads name to random insults, etc. I wroite it off as a new player or one-off, but a quick search of his name reveals a spotted history of this exact behavoir in other games as well. Real bummer to cross paths like that with someone who made something cool and worth while, only to find they are a rotten on the battlefield and at a personal level within ARMA itself.

    I know this has been a few years since you made this video but I had a question regarding the Condition for taking off once every one is in on extraction. In Singleplayer mode you said ({alive _x;}) count switchableUnits) == ({_x in heli1;} count switchableUnits) but in Multiplayer mode you change that to playableUnits" Does that mean it changes to ({alive _x;}) count playableUnits) == ({_x in heli1;} count playableUnits) or just the first one ({alive _x;}) count playableUnits) == ({_x in heli1;} count switchableUnits)

    One of the worst tuto i've ever watched ! The man go so fast, do and undo things, copy paste tones of codes everywhere, he barely explain shit. Thanksfully there is much more simple scripts gave by other youtuber mamking much more simple Tuto and don't take gamers who just want to make a nice mission for Graduate Developpers

    Hey Mate, unsure if you still comment here but do need some help for the insertion. I've used this with multiplayer in mind and it has worked fine until it lands at the LZ. At which point its wheels barely skid the ground then immediately takes off, I tried to delay it in the way point so it didn't move for 10 seconds but that didn't work, do you have any advice? Much appreciated, thanks

    Hi! I made the huge mistake of reinstalling Arma 3 and lost this mod in the process. Apparently after Armaholics death there in no download availabe anywhere? Your mod was apparently the only way to get arty function as a battery.

      Yeah it's gone! I've not got this version either anymore either, sorry! I may at some future point release a reworked version I was working on, on steam.

      Okay! I will be hopefully waiting. The ai artillery really needs to get closer to rl procedures and functioning as a battery would be one step closer to that. Your mod would be a blast eg. with pooks arty pack which has a counter arty radar. Getting a four gun battery to provide counter fire would devastate any enemy.

    I am using this system (holding the take off with a variable) but I have had to resort to adding the action to the player instead of the helicopter as the way you've described in the video doesn't seem to work in multiplayer (the variable sync does thanks to using the publicVariable instruction, but the action on the helicopter menu does not). So my code is: uh80TakeOffActionId = player addAction ["Take off", uh80TakeOffSignal = true; publicVariable "uh80TakeOffSignal"; }]; Note I am using "player" instead of "this". I am saving the id so that I can remove the action once the helicopter has taken off. Could you please check out whether what you explained in the video works if you launch the mission in multiplayer mode? Thanks for your time and effort.

      So just from looking at your code syntax is wrong for addaction it's missing a "{": player addAction ["Take off",{uh80TakeOffSignal = true; publicVariable "uh80TakeOffSignal"; }]; That might be why the code is not running though I'd be surpised if the addactions show up at all with that error. If this does not help send me your missing file I'll take a look over the weekend.

But it's only working with "player addAction", not with "uh80 addAction". Nevertheless, I'll doublecheck the code in my mission, just in case :-)

The code is the same, but I am executing it in the "On activation" field of a trigger, as getting inserted by helicopter is not the very first thing that happens in the mission. To be exact, my code is (in the "On activation" field of the trigger that activates when in proximity of the helicopter): uh80TakeOffActionId = player addAction [ "Take off", { uh80TakeOffSignal = true; publicVariable "uh80TakeOffSignal"; }]; So if I change the "player" into "uh80", which is the variable name of the helicopter, it also works, at least in single player mode. Not sure why it was not working when I last tested, probably my fault. I am now going to try in multiplayer mode when I have the chace and get back to you. Thanks!

    I cannot get the spartan hud to work at all and when I try to toggle the hud it just deletes the helmet from existence.

      Sorry not a project I do stuff for anymore, you'll have to ask on their discord or reddit. The hud replaces the helment with an on/off version of the helmet model so maybe one model is missing or it's be named wrongly for the spartan helmet.

      It's proably complaing your not comparing two numbers in the condition, typo? Copy and paste what you wrote here I can have a look.

      Just looked, apparently Armaholic is dead! Sad times. Erm you proably had one of the last copies of the verison in the video sorry! I started reworking this many years ago to make it easier to use.. and basically deleted alot of the code on my version then stoped. I can give you my latest version all it has though is; helicopter transport, resuply and admin menu. I'll upload it next time im on my computer if you want it.

Erm setup for transport/resuply is done via the "init" script for each. For example for the helicopter it's the file called: BW_CSM.Stratis\BW_CSM\GUIs\HeloTransport\Functions\fn_heloTransInit.sqf Any questions feel free to ask.

    No more need for a script guys! You now can literally spawn units in ANY vehicles by dragging them into the vehicle in the Eden editor 3D mode. And they will automatically position themselves inside the vehicle accordingly! Eden editor is truly beast! Love it!

      Wanna be more clear with your question? Multiple spawn points as in multiple units spawning at diffrent locations OR multiple posible spawn points for the units your spawning?

      Some of it, I made the Buildings, Map, UI, Scripts in this video. All the vehicles, weapons and everything else where made by other people on the optre team. I re did all the buildings abouta year or two ago.

    I have died so many times, your jetpack seems to fly very well. It sounds like its toggling off and on to maintain a hover. Mine seems to just stay on/off which makes it very hard to not die from lol Is there anyway i can configure the jetpack to work like yours? Thank you!

    i have to go to another video because this was too choppy and the big mistake at 8:18 with the random added waypoint by the cycle was poorly explained and led to my whole waypoint and activation cycle F up. LITERALLY wasted 3 hrs trying to do tthis on a video and i'm really pissed off. fyi, not everybody is a expert at writing coding, so please break it down better and more simpler or slower for ppl just new to this game. it's not going to be me cause I'm going to another video commentary... CONFUSING AF at midpoint. thx

    Broooo! So thats what the invisible helipad is for. Big thanks for that tip!!! I didn't even know that the helo's will try to search for the nearest helipad, with this method like you said you can get pin point accuracy on where you want it to land. Thank you again, this is going to vastly improve my missions.
