Kikyo also deserved no toxic hate from the radical fans of Inuyasha, especially the Kagome-Inuyasha shippers that have total apathy for her since her revival she decided to kill Inuyasha out of the mistaken assumption that he betrayed and killed her when it was Naraku who shattered their romantic relationship.

True, Kikyo lived a totally different life then Kagome would ever know. And there is a lot of mixed feelings about her from a lot of fans and lovers of the show. She is everything single one of those things you said and throughout your video I can see where you're coming from too. But the one thing that she did wrong, I also understand that she was tired of having to fight all the time. But she wished the to use the Secret Jewel on Inuyasha to become human? So, she could be set free and live a normal life, and I can deeply understand her desire to be free from being perfect like a statue with no emotions or a person who was forbidden from such things in her life. But however, Kagome wishes the jewel to disappear forever and chooses to love and stay with Inuyasha as his wife has, he is still Half Demon. In this situation though, Kagome loved Inuyasha on a deeper lover and understanding but also, she understood them both so well, she had such a big heart and the things she went through standing by Inuyasha's side knowing his feelings for Kikyo would never end, his love for Kikyo was enteral and she understood this but yet still never once let go or gave up, she kept staying by his side and never once tried to intentionally hurting each other, Kikyo or Kagome, or Inuyasha, she never once tried to end things, she kept returning and wanting to stay by his side until the end, and she still accepted him as the Half Demon he was? But now say Naraku never happened, and she had gotten her wish, but would Kikyo a woman who was lightly insulted by her status as a Priestess and many other things, she stood for something, and she had a strong image to uphold, would she have accepted to be the wife of Inuyasha if he had stayed a Half Demon, he was willing to sacrifice for her, but would she have done it for him and loved him for who he is, or would she have remain his friend? which path would she have taken? Kikyo is a lot of things and she's a good character and a sad one at that, she has a long story ark in the series and her character Developemnt is truly touching and the things she learns the risk she is willing to take and yet underneath it all, she loves and cares for others too. So, honestly, I can say Kikyo is a great addition to the series, but as for when things ended for her and Inuyasha, it was for the best. Kagome understood him way past the levels of things Kikyo did, but Kikyo also knew things about him, that Kagome could never share or understand either. But in the end, he was just in love with their spirits, I guess, Kikyo's soul is what he loved not her appearance like he said, but Kagome does carry a part of Kikyo even though she acted nothing like her, but she is her own person and Kagome is Kagome and nobody else. But honestly, I liked the video, I do find what you're saying charming and heartwarming.

For the longest time, I've always kind of figured that Sesshomaru had a bit of an odd spot for his brother. While he wouldn't go out of his way to help Inuyasha, he did so by ensuring that Inuyasha would get stronger or at least better himself in any way possible. For him losing an arm was indeed humiliating, and it showed during the episode of Princess Sara (or at least the spirit version of her). He cursed Inuyasha as he was passed out and healing from the attack. However, you did mention something that struck a cord with me and it lines up with what you said. During his battle with Inuyasha when Inuyasha's demonic blood began to take control over him, Sesshomaru could have easily killed Inuyasha using the dragon strike. Instead, he wards him off with a simple demonic pulse of his Tokijin. He could have even killed Kagome when she tried to protect him, instead he actually informs her that Inuyasha only transforms when his life is in real danger and when he is seperated from his Tetsusaiga. Meaning that he was both testing a theory as well as ensuring that his younger brother understands his own power. If I remember correctly, at least 8-10 episodes prior, Goshinki (I may have misspelled that name), broke Inuyasha's Tetsusaiga which was bonded together by Inutaisho's fang. Up until that point, Inuyasha had been relying on his father's strength to get him through most of his battles. But when his sword broke, Inuyasha needed to rely on his own strength. Sesshomaru noticed this immediately when he first held the Tokijin in his hand for the first time. My theory on that is, Sesshomaru knew that the Tetsusaiga was broken and when it was bonded back together, it was bonded with Inuyasha's fang. Meaning that Sesshomaru knew that Inuyasha would have to rely on his own strength rathter than the strength of their father. This is why Sesshomaru was able to easily disarm Inuyasha because Inuyasha didn't know his own true strength and it's because of that reason that Inuyasha was still relying on his father, only in this case, through the use of his demon blood. Fast forward to the panther demon tribe, Sesshomaru was well aware of the battle, and remembered that even when he did call on his younger brother to come and help, he soon found out during that time, that Inuyasha was pinned to the tree due to a romance situation gone wrong, making Sesshomaru believe that he could no longer count on his brother. I wouldn't be suprised if that was the one chance he was willing to give Inuyasha to prove to him that he could actually be counted on, or if he would just leave him out to dry. And as it turns out, not only was he sealed away, but in Sesshomaru's mind, it was for the dumbest reason he could possibly imagine. (Remember, during Sesshomaru's personal battle against the panther demon tribe, he had never met rin. At least 50 years prior to Sesshomaru meeting Rin). Now the two of them have a common goal and that is to kill the leader of the panther demon tribe, only this time, Sesshomaru almost allowed his own demonic blood to get the better of him before his Tensaiga saved him from getting to that point. Luckly, he used the Tensaiga's life regeneration ability to kill the panther demon king (Leader?). Within one of the movies, we see that Sesshomaru and Inuyasha actually work together to take down the sword of Hell, Sounga. It even came to blows to the point where Sesshomaru had to tell Inuyasha that he should thank Kagome for saving his life, because at the rate that Inuyasha was going, Sesshomaru was going to have to put Inuyasha down, and given the fact that the Tetsusaiga was more than enough temporarily stop him, it came at a cost of burning his hand. Once again, Sesshomaru could have killed Inuyasha right then and there, but he didn't. While it could be for plot armor or the fact that he no longer saw Inuyasha as a threat remains up for discussion, but the fact still remains that he could have killed both Kagome and Inuyasha for a second time. And for a second time, he let them both live. Near the end of the Inuyasha series, Sesshomaru actually has to teach Inuyasha a lesson on how to use the Tetsusaiga and go as far as to punch him in the face to ensure that he got the damn message. So much so, that when his Tensaiga had shards of Kanna's mirror, he could have easily user any number of techniques that Inuyasha had, not to mention that his swordsmanship skill were far above Inuyasha's, so it's reasonable to believe that Sesshomaru, in his own sadistic way, was actually giving Inuyasha a hands on training on how to use the Medio Zangetsuha, because he knew at the time that the point of the Tensaiga having that technique was to hold on to it until it was ready to be used by Inuyasha. As much as it pissed him off to know that the one technique that could have put him on equal ground with Inuyasha was only there because it was specifically made for the Tetsusaiga, and Sesshomaru understood that, which is why he broke his own sword to ensure that Inuyasha got that technique at the end of their fight. Now going into Yashahime, the very first thing that he does when his daughters are born is to take them away from Rin and place them near the tree of ages with a barrier around them because he knew that their lives would have been in danger if they stayed in the village. The same thing happened with Kagome and Inuyasha. With Kirinmaru now back and ready to take on Sesshomaru or at least the rightful ruler of the West, Sesshomaru gave up that title, which meant that Inuyasha was next in line. Not wanting his brother, wife, and niece in danger, he sent both his brother and sister-in-law to be in danger, so he sent them to the only place where he knew that no one would have been able to get to them and that was Inutaisho's grave, then lied to Kirinmaru about saving Inuyasha's life. Overall, Sesshomaru may not have been a full antagonist, but he was the driving force that led Inuyasha to being the well rounded half demon that came to be, while also having his own arc as well. From the cunning and relentless aristocratic assassin, to a protector of Rin, to being the unnamed mentor to Inuyasha, all the way to being a father of twin daughters and husband to Rin. More than likely coming full circle with his own struggles and trials. From losing his arm, to losing interest in the Tetsusaiga, to the feeling of betrayal of his own father for the Medio Zangetsuha technique, to becoming his own demon and gaining the Bakusaiga (and getting his own arm back), to caring for Inuyasha and his entourage, along with Rin and his daughters.

The comment sections always make me tired because why does everything need to be a competition between Kagome and Kikyo when the whole point of the story is that there is no competition to be had. Why does either of them have to be "the better woman"? Why are we pitting two queens against each other? Why can't we flatten Inuyasha into a pancake with hammers instead? The more I think about this love triangle the angrier I grow at Inuyasha. How does one dog boy ruin the lives of two beautiful goddesses. I guess women are attracted to puppy boys who give them nothing but heartache and trials. Good god.

I mean, Initially Sesshoumaru mocked Inuyasha because he genuinely hated him, and it's more probable that those discoveries were a consequence of Sesshoumaru not going easy on Inuyasha, but later on Sesshoumaru does actively help Inuyasha, like when he tells Kagome that the Tessaiga is the only thing that can stop Inuyasha's transformation, or when he gives up the Meido Zangetsuha to Inuyasha and subsequently, relinquishes the Tessaiga itself

A big old murderous tsundere who deep down does want to kill his brother but also wants to teach him because of his sense of pride of beating the best and not wanting to associate with weak people. It’s always funny watch people use mental gymnastics to justify Sesshomaru’s first 3 losses. He *never* had any intention of teaching Inuyasha how to wield the sword. Their final fight where he gives Inuyasha the meido is proof of this. The reason he gained Bakssiga was because he fully let go of his obsession with Tessaiga.

I’m sorry but I honestly disagree. It’s just that if this was true in their second fight sesshomaru wouldn’t have stabbed inuyasha through the stomach leaving him to bleed out. Plus when inuyasha got tetsusaiga back from him since sesshomaru had used a human arm to steal it inuyasha passed out while holding the sword and Sesshomaru had some inner dialogue saying if he tried to get the sword again inuyasha would strike him based on an unconscious reaction from his body. He was solely doing this not to teach him but only for the sword.

You are correct, I already knew this and realized that Sesshoumaru was actually training his brother and teaching him to become stronger. Guiding him and showing him the way to go and the road he must take. I too am an older brother and I would do this myself if I had to just to teach my sister and make her stronger, but we don't live in times like that so I don't have to do that.
