I’m having trouble with getting fire to the spark plugs u have any suggestion On wiring maybe I replaced almost all the firing order
Sloppy, lazy.
When I saw the title, I thought “How can this be?”. But, you have to use what you have, even though it’s not the first choice. Your “supervisor” was keeping a close watch on the progress. Take care.
How is the Power with the Kohler CH980?
Which company makes the grapple that the E20 has on it?
is that a wisconsin v4?
Yes it is. One of the best engines ever made!
@Dirt Works neat! My dad has to one powering an old welder and one for an industrial pump , when I run out of Projects I'm going to resurrect the lads. So cool to see one not in pieces lol
I bought a lottery ticket after seeing this.
Jeez crow. Hope there ain't no kids around. Somebody left that in my door yard like that , you gotta ass whoppin comin.
So many states have gotten hit recently. Umm Utah?
Wyoming
Nebraska or Colorado
Wyoming
@Dirt Works I knew it that was my first pick I just came from Wyoming lol
Yeehaw
Staying home and having hot chocolate
It ain’t got no gas in it!
Did you ever get any info on your ditch witch
Yes, straight from the dealer. They were excited to see one of the old girls was still running.
Does it have good digging force power? Like digging out a large patio into a slope?
Yes it digs very well.
That CASE is retro.
1974. Good old machine.
@@dirtworks7511 Cool, thanks!
Not clear what you are doing and for what purpose.
We were building a headgate to direct excess water from an irrigation ditch back to the river during flood season.
Watched video of your Massey and scraper, that scraper isn’t even in the same class as this. If Massey won’t handle it well maybe look for old D4 sized crawler. Vintage crawlers generally are rather inexpensive and I don’t think you need anything fancy for scraper work.
I have gotten to use it a little bit between weather spurts. The massey handles it well I've been working mostly in blow sand (which is tough to get any open bowl scraper to load in). And it gets about 3/4 full. I did hit some good clay pockets and it heaps over the sides. I'm very happy with it. I got most of the bugs worked out on it so when the weather clears up I will post a vid of it working and how it works. Thank you for the feedback. I really like your channel also. I love old iron.
It looks to function somewhat similar to an old Bucyrus-Erie cable operated scraper. I believe Bucyrus-Erie sold their scraper line to International Harvester but maybe there is some sort of lineage there. Hope to see video of it working when you get that far. Thankyou for posting.
that repower you did looks like its working great! does it come with a governor to keep it less than 3600 rpm?
Yes it does.
I just bought one today and will check it out
Very cool! The Massey handles it well.
It's a beast, it handled I too well. Ended up bending the can and breaking the he'll out of it a few hours after I took this video. We're fixing it it'll be back to work this week.
Anyone use a coupon?
It's 600 now.
Looks like it runs well. I am looking at a case 1816 tomorrow. $3500 is asking but it has been repowered with a Briggs vanguard
I ended up buying that machine and probably have at least 5 hours of seat time. I wish it were as big as yours. It looks like the perfect size.
@@wkualum3194 1816 would be a great little machine for around here.
@@DieselRamcharger it's for sale if you are interested
@@wkualum3194 how much and where ya located?
@@DieselRamcharger I gave 3500 for it and would like to get that out of it. I am in the process of putting ne belts on it now to sell. I haven't listed it yet. I am in Michigan.
do you know if there is a pad that fits this machine for going over pavers?
There is none that I am aware of.
Lay old carpet on pavers than wacker on top
OSB plywood
How were you able to lift in bed of truck.
By hand. Years of construction can make a person very strong.
@@dirtworks7511 What's the weight of the machine?
190 lbs
New subscriber, nice dozer, love Frost. Ty for sharing
Thank you for subscribing, I went through your videos. You got a subscriber out of me.
@@dirtworks7511 thanks, keep on stroking
LGP is nice, but I'm sure you found out that they don't push or rip very well in hard rocky soil especially when it's frozen. They just spin and slide all over the place. Nice machines with a comfortable cab though.
I have never been in any dozer that does very well if the ice. They all like to slide around.
My opinion on that mini excavator would be to only fix what you have to, and put the money towards a newer bigger machine so you can do bigger things in less time. You know you are constantly doing things way beyond the capability of that machine. If you replaced everything on it, is it going to double it's capacity and make you more money? Those rubber tracks alone are big bucks, and it looks like they are almost done. Older equipment is fine, but when you depend on it to make money, things usually go wrong. None of my business really, but I would hate to see you loose money on that.
I agree completely with that except the machine is too small to get rid of. By that I mean I can get it into places that machines should never go. I have a matched size skidsteer for the same reason. If you check out my 2017 at work video you'll see some pictures of the mini squeezed in a barn that nothing else in this area could have even gotten through the door in. It's too handy to get rid of. I do want a bigger excavator though too. Just gotta find enough work to justify it lol.
That would be an old seed drill. Pretty good condition too considering its age. Looks like a nice jobsite to work on.
It seems to be in excellent condition. I'm going to see if the owner will let me restore it. This jobsite was and is awesome. I'm heading back again this week to build a dam.
Sure beats an old fiberglass pool shell in the bed of a dump truck. LOL. the slosh factor was amazing....
Hardly need sprayers in that situation lol

Grease? What the hell is that? Must be some alien technology I've never heard of .
I You are 100% correct. Aliens 😂😂
Ha...love the pile of dirt under the dozer...it always comes out of somewhere 🤣
It never fails lol.
Solenoid is weak internally and not overcoming the plunger return spring pressure. That is if all the connections are good, and it's not a bad Bendix. Remove the solenoid and look for any loose connections around the terminals and any internal connections. They usually go bad right where the posts go through the housing, and look to see if there are any cracks internally where the plunger is. Someone tapping on the solenoid with a Ford Hammer may have tapped a bit too hard.
I have a good solenoid off of another starter. Should be easy enough to switch them out. Thank you again as always for the input.
It was the Bendix.
@@dirtworks7511 glad you got it figured out.
I did another segment to this about something that went wrong with the air filter. ua-cam.com/video/HUJ0K2dtS1g/v-deo.html
What type of work are you using this compactor for?
Julio Carrillo I use it mainly for small grading and backfill jobs.
I really appreciate that you took the time to show this segment, however, I would love to see you take off the PTO case and replaced the shifter flange.
My pleasure, I'll be very honest I hope I never have to dig that far into this machine. If I do though, I will do a very detailed segment on it.
Changing the oil on these a few times early is cheap insurance as the Chinese engines tend to have a lot of metal filings in them just like the generators. If you get them early, your engine will last a longer time.

Thanks for the video.i had my doubts but I'll give it a try .the price is so good.
She is still running good, I had to replace the spark plug after the diesel incident. That is it.
Good stuff. I used many hours in a project and got the job done.thanks again.
I have the same POS tractor as that except for the loader, mine has a Koyker 160 loader on it. How hard is it to start in that kind of weather? If it's below 70 degrees Fahrenheit, I have to use the glow plugs, the compression release, and sometimes even a shot of Ether. I can't even imagine how hard mine would be to crank in actual cold weather, LOL
CumminsDslPwr they are definitely cold blooded haha
I would love to see a real world review on these tractors. I have some acreage and am in the market for a small tractor and in my opinion John Deere is absolutely astronomically priced on the full side of stupid. I would never ever be able to work an American tractor enough to make it worth the asking price. If these Chinese tractors even work just OK..... I'm sold.
I think very highly of them. I will see what I can do about an actual review this spring.
Are these tractors junk???
Not that I have seen. This tractor had just turned 3000 hours when this broke and it is the only breakdown I have had on it. Parts are cheap and available. The machine is a power house. And it starts and runs almost everyday for me.
Dirt Works You said parts are available where through northern tool? I did research it's a jinma tractor
Dirt Works are you pretty rough on the tractor, As in do you work the tractor hard? You know some people who just grade a driveway and push snow every once in awhile and that's not what I call a hard life for a tractor.
I get them through circlegtractorparts.com. This tractor gets ran very hard doing alot of tilling and moderate earth moving with the front bucket.
Once it thaws out up here I will post a vid of some of the dirt work stuff I do with it.
Affordable Tractor in Texas has a very good parts department and ships quickly. 979-865-4002, Ask for Harold or Tom, good guys to deal with. I have the very same tractor and quite a bit of experience with them,
I will keep that in mind, I usually go through circle g tractor parts but it's always nice to have more places to find parts. thank you for the info.
No problem. Good luck with that thing, I hate to say it but, you are probably going to need it if it is anything like mine. LOL
man pulling that shift fork from the bottom of the trans was the most miserable thing. 12 hours of magnets and pliers. I still can't believe that it didn't just rip the gears apart. I probably wasted all my luck on that hahaha
