This gets a huge down vote for not following the traditional iceberg format where you start with the most popular or best known terms and then work your way down to obscurity. This is demonstrated by the VERY first entry being something called “electro swing” - I probably wouldn’t even put Swing itself in Tier 1 (Jazz itself, yes), much a blend with something else. If they can’t even follow the basic iceberg concept… this isn’t worth my time (and it also suggests that I know more than they do - maybe I should make one !)

There seems to be a lack of folk and hip-hop representation on this list. Personally I would’ve like to have seen at the bottom of the list Celtic Rock. Probably the biggest band out of that genre is The Cranberries.

Nice intro to many genres of music imo (ofc covering all genres would take years), however I really don't understand the placement of some (like melodic death below avant-garde metal), like ofc you can't experience fully all genres but then idk where you could have guessed that from (I'm guenuinely curious pls take no offense)
