Timothee Chalamet Failed In His Role As Wonka
I mean I just watched it today and honestly don't see the complaints is the movie great no is it good yes and all of the people complain it should have been her father is the main character so we watch a movie where the guy dies not defeat the main villain. She isn't perfect most of her impressive feats is when she's on horseback and if you can't understand why a Rohirrim would be good on horseback then I don't think you're a fan of Lord of the rings. Ps there's like heaps of warrior women in tokens universe is not unusual for women so learn had to fight to protect themselves
Maybe you took a nap for most of the movie which is completely understandable .... both unnamed for a reason female protagonists were on god mode
What about the scene where Mufasa was talking to Simba about the kings from the past doesn’t Mufasa being an orphan contradict that
Stupid movies anyway. Lions don’t live in jungles.
Cool don't care have u heard of FICTION ofc there are singing lions out in the wild
@toasted-marshmallow I’m joking 😭 love the lion king
You have no idea how secretly silent elephants can be. Their feet are like sponges that absorb shock so they’re practically silent.
😂😂😂
My main issue with the monkey is that it was wearing a modern dress
Lmao…” dondas wouldn’t dress like that “🤣🤣🤣
Its shit
That’s a hot take. 😅 personally find it confusing, but the guest found the film enlightening
yeah go watch Marvel bro =))
And for me, one of the best movies i've ever seen.
This movie is so overhated
I mean… did you watch it???
@ I watched 2 times
@krimlefou7879 glad someone enjoyed that 🥴
ngl a lot of movie reviews shit on the movie because it focuses on hera and saying that she’s a mary sue and i honestly don’t understand how 1. it’s an issue that she’s a main character and 2. how she would be considered a “mary sue”
Yeah but how are they supposed to fill the movie with boss girl moments if helm was the protagonist
😂😂😂 trueeee
Haven't seen helm since shadow of war and yet still as badass.
Great character
Spoiler "Punches his way through things, and that's how he solves them" That's also how he started a war... But he *was* wise enough to realize that and seek redemption.
Facts.
The movie was almost good. Really good bones, terrible budget. It felt so small. Tiny armies make it feel like a silly larp. Poor job setting up the main character as a fighter (they do make her seem smart, but thats not how they resolve things) Too many references to the books. Several things felt really contrived, and it didn't trust the audience to follow some important plot points.so they had to spell it ut out too much The brother getting left behind is silly because they are only followed by 4 guys. The complaint about the bridge is too nitpicky. In a better film, you probably wouldn't have noticed something like that cause you would be invested enough not to notice. those kind if issues happen all the time, but you rarely notice them on a first viewing if you like the film
Oh believe me, we saw many issues with this film. That was one of the well-packaged, concise ones 😅
Watch the review to get the full thoughts. Thanks for commenting! 😄
Nope, she’s a Mary sure who girl bossed her way through the movie
It is stated. He says, “I think I can go now. I just… needed to help someone. I think I did…”
Uuh did we watch the same film? Cause this film was well received by audiences and TLK fans on everywhere else I see like Reddit and TikTok.
Probably. If you’re just looking for brainless entertainment, sure, people will like it. But if you’re looking for a good story, look somewhere else.
Finally, a sensible outlook on Hera as a character. Lots of people just write her off as a Mary Sue girlboss, which she isn't.
Watch acolytes horror video too ❤
Have not seen it, we’ll have to check it out!
Some dude said that Helms Deep was a multi layered wall.
I want to see the movie
Give it a shot! Not the best movie, but I thoroughly enjoyed watching it! 😃
@ALostPlotPodcast loved it
sometimes it is just a story.
@@marygrace4245 true… but why not strive for greatness? Especially with the budgets Hollywood throws around nowadays.
This kind of complaint is always struck me strange. The same deus ex machina or wherever the heck you wanna call it character issue is ever present in male characters, but it only gets complained about when it’s a woman.
It’s actually a problem with male protagonist too. Most blatant recent example is Mufasa in the new Mufasa movie. Also, the guest on the podcast was complimenting the movie because it didn’t do that.
I mean, he did imprison a bunch of dwarves for no reason other than they wondered into a forest he didn't want them to in the book, so it's not like they completely made the cruel thing up
Jared??
Yes! Jared is a recent guest we’ve had on the podcast. We appreciated his thoughts and expertise. Thank you for watching 😄
Frankly it has to do with his beginning motivation his parents were trying to make Gotham better
Wayne is rich and all his power/businesses/ houses are in Gotham. Fox, Gordan, Alfred, Harvey, Rachel, Selina, pretty much everyone lives there. Someone told me, a villain and a hero have the same come up, something bad happened to them. The villain says, the world hurt me so I’m going to hurt it back. The hero says the world hurt me and I’m not going to let anyone feel the same.
Well said, yep. It's a unique angle that i feel we won't get to see in another Batman movie for a while.
Yeah, the arc is incredible. We’ll see how well Robert Pattinson pulls it off
Glad 2, a metaphor for Hollywood.
Haha too accurate. With AI, it’s only a matter of time before it’s done for
Absolute rubbish....
Surprisingly bad. The podcast guest thought otherwise though, (shown in this short) which leads to interesting discussion. Thanks for watching!
Terrible movie. Terrible performance by Denzel. Most disappointing

Hear me out, just saying. Rome fell for multiple reasons. One of them is the constant cycle of fixing and evetually falling of the empire. One emperor would take power after a previous emperor fumbled the bag. This emperor would lead rome into an era pf prosperity and wealth, either through politics or conquest. This emperor would eventually die and his sucesor would take rain. This sucesor and the ones that vome after would get progresivly worst until one fumbles the bag, sending the empire back to first step of the loop. Repeat the process until Rome falls. Maximus did his thing, but at the best, what he did is create a very short loop. With Marcus Aurelius being the good leader, comodus being the one that fumbles the bag, and however comes after porb fixing things.
Historically, yes it makes sense. Narratively, it’s self destructive
Maximus spent his life fighting wars for Rome so it made sense when he beat other gladiators in combat. Lucius spent his life in luxury and then in hiding, so it was lazy writing that made him a good fighter. The movie was also just really slow for long stretches of time and it felt like much of that screentine was wasted on unnecessary dialogue. Althoug it wasn't great, I can at least appreciate how little it effects my enjoyment of the original.
Fair, the sea colosseum scene was epic.
Like pacific rim
👀👀
I watched 6 min and turned it off ,, I went and seen the original in the theater it was epic mm the actors were incredible ,, kids who have no clue making these movies today
Sorry you have a high horse and 20 years on us?
@ no it's the younger generation copy everything that's already been done . When I was a kid you had nothing everything was so expensive a Sony Walkman cassette was $50 today kids have everything and no hardships but social ones so how can you create something from nothing high horse you get your songs for free I had to buy an album fur &20 you kids today have everything at your finger tips and still are crying . You take tv for granted when I was a kid to have a color tv was rich. Your response is a perfect example you have no clue
@ how can you create something on the phone all day hmmmmmm
But in real life history is that what happened? That is the real question.
No, absolutely not. But on this podcast we’re not necessarily interested in if it perfectly mimics history, but if they are telling compelling stories
@ OK but some of the names being used in the stories that they’re telling are real people from history. I don’t think Julius Caesar or King Nebuchadnezzar II want false stories written about them. Am subscribing to your channel.👍
That’s the point…. You missed the whole point
No, this was a part of a discussion in a podcast. Give it a listen! 🙃
I don't want to even see the sequel because that was the best movie ever and perfect I don't even want to see the sequel but anyway thank you
Thanks for watching
Not really, considering evil never changes...n is constant. Terrible review
You don’t watch stories for a real world outcome. The world is naturally dark and dismal, and stories of inspiration and hope are of great value to the world. To undermine other great stories for the sake of creating a sequel is not worth it… and if you only want to see films that are real world, and good does not triumph in the end, I pity you.
@ALostPlotPodcast dude all that rambling and u said absolutely nothing...WORD SALAD...I bet u voted for Kalama Harris. Lmao!!!!
@ALostPlotPodcast definitely don't quit your day job.

Actually Mr Bond was based on multiple characters that Mr Fleming met during his time at the Naval Intelligence Division . One of them was the Dutch Prince Bernhard, who was a true womanizer and liked his Martini’s shaken, not stirred.
🤯 wild; thanks for the clarification!
I looked away from my phone and I thought Ben Shapiro was talking about Batman
😂😂😂 thanks?
@@ALostPlotPodcast Lol I didn't really mean anything by it, just an observation. It got me to check out the channel, though. I like y'all's stuff, keep it up 👍
Your assessment of this wonderful film is erroneous and pointless.
Thanks?
What I see with people talking about batman these days is the same as it was when I was at school and people thought it was cool to hate oasis. 15 years on oasis are selling out everywhere and Robbie Pats is trying to be a sleek Baleman ... just appreciate the moment, it's easier to stay true.
Arkham Scarecrow is the best imo
The video games take some great takes on the characters, some of which you definitely don’t get in the films
Colin Farrell and Matt reeves just did for the penguin what Nolan and ledger did for the joker.
🤯 interesting. Haven’t gotten to that show yet. Too invested in Arcane 😩
ADAM WEST !!!!!!!!! all others are psudo
Batman won't kill he'll just leave you at 1hp 😂
😂😂😂 right to the edge
i disagree with bane
As in, you disagree with his philosophy? Or that he is a scary villain? 😂
You’re right. Batman’s brand of justice wasn’t harsh enough. And he wasn’t even trying to wear his regulation hockey pants.
Just finished the movie and was like wtf did i just watch and now i want to watch it again knowing this thanks bro🤣🤘🏼
Thanks for watching my guy. Keep exploring
I still dont understand how did tom die, did he suicide (because when he was buried he had a rope around his neck and i think tommy may have nightmares about him burying tom alive) or did he really killed with axe?
@@Emir-p5q9baxe
Kieth. Amazing.
Thanks!
This is a completely wrong analysis of what’s going on here
Love the facts and logic bro
