@@spoonbox The Draeger mask is for metabolic monitoring of human test subjects. The main purpose of this is trying to find XR headsets that fit with these metabolic masks.

How do u do it?
You first enable Mixed Reality mode on Waltz of the Wizard on Quest 3. Then use voice commands to string together commands. what's the frame rate like for webxr in mixed reality mode? on my Focus 3, it's horrible and flashes between the last 2 frames constantly
@@vir2plus Performance is device and OS dependent of course, but from my experience it runs smooth on Quest 3. It can be a little rough on Quest 1&2 as well as Vive XR Elite, though not as bad as you’re describing. Out of curiosity, is your Focus 3 fully updated on everything (OS, browser, etc…)? Also what does your wireless network bandwidth look like? WebXR tends to do better with higher bandwidth wifi.
@@calebcram I meant WebXR in the Vive Browser, using the Snapdragon XR2's Adreno 650 gpu, not streaming from my PC. It's fully updated, but i kind of regret buying the unit since it cost $1700, and is basically too uncomfortable to use, due to the effect of 2 images going out of sync when ever things move in webxr experiences. I'm somewhat versed in optimising webgl/three.js, and I did everything i could to keep the frame rate high, but it seems to be inconsistent, and having that weird double vision problem during motion (in my and other people's apps, even with very few objects, unless the resolution is scaled down.. (which works in the WebXR samples, but when i tried to manipulate the XRLayer and change the resolution it didn't seem to change.. going to try that again.. i'm probably doing something wrong)

Yeah, I'm a contractor onsite at Johnson Space Center currently. Also NASA does lots of VR stuff! I never knew how much until I got involved, but some of the research happening here involving XR is incredibly intriguing! While this project is a couple years old now, it's still one of the coolest things NASA has helped develop and opened to the public for use in terms of VR in my opinion. www.meta.com/experiences/2094303753986147/ The lab I currently work with had some community XR challenges to for developing VR EVA sim content for their XOSS engine. www.nasa.gov/directorates/stmd/prizes-challenges-crowdsourcing-program/nasa-marsxr-challenge/

Pc vr? What’s resolution what is the display tipe. How much does it cost and do you recommend I have a quest 3
This works great as a PCVR headset. Getting the software setup is maybe a little bit more finnicky that Quest 3 was, but once things are running, it's comparable to Quest 3 as a PCVR headset. The primary reason for purchasing this headset in my mind would be the option add-on Eye+Face tracker which seems to work pretty well and the smooth integration with the Vive Ultimate Tracking pucks. That being said, I definitely prefer the Quest 3's optical stack over the Vive XR Elite. Even with the eye tracking based IPD adjustment on the Vive XR Elite, I can't quite seem to get it dialed in for my eyes since the "sweet spot" of the lenses are so much smaller than Quest 3. It also has a smaller FOV which feels like looking through binoculars after using the Quest 3 for awhile. One big advantage of Vive XR Elite is definitely comfort though. It's much lighter/smaller form factor than the Quest 3 is making it much easier to use for longer durations. Cost is the big disparity between the two. Quest 3: $500 Vive XR Elite: $1099 - (Optional) Vive Full Face Tracker: $200 - (Optional) Vive Ultimate Tracker: $200 The Vive XR Elite is an incredibly intriguing piece of hardware that can do a myriad of cool things, but it comes at a pretty high price. It definitely has more capabilities than the Quest 3 does, especially for usage with PCVR, but the Quest 3 is more specifically tuned for VR gaming. It all just depends on your budget and use case if this is worth it or not.
That’s interesting. I personally love my set up cause I have quest 3 with pro controllers after market strap charging dock link cables for pc vr. My fav part of the quest 3 is the lenses the field of view is amazing and it so clear everywhere you look mixed reality is over hiped personally but I love how you can use it for pc vr also
@@Schpoofer Heck yeah, sounds like a solid setup! I personally love the Quest 3 and use that as my “daily driver” unless I specifically need eye+face tracking data for some reason. Also agree that the FOV and “sweet spot” of the Quest 3 are incredibly good.

What application is this?
This is a simple project built upon the “Mesh Copy (for quest3)” scene in Takashi Yoshinaga’s “Unity MR Starter For Quest” GitHub project linked below. github.com/TakashiYoshinaga/UnityMRStarterForQuest This project uses the depth projector on board the Quest 3 to generate a mesh of the environment at run time, then reconstructing it and streaming it where desired (including other networked devices such as AR/VR HMD's or a desktop). Huge shout out to Takashi for the incredible sample code!
