Thanks! 3060ti should be good enough. I had been playing on mid range settings for a long time with my 2070 Super, and it still looked amazing.

I really enjoy AMS2 for what it offers. I have all the content up to this point and certainly there are cars I'd have to go out of my way to use, simply because I am not so interested, but the tracks I find are all great. The cars I do use the most, GT3's sometimes GT4, occasionally formula are all fun to drive. This particular video was my first time using the LMP2, and is probably one of the best feeling for me, along with the LMDh.

Things are going ok. Been playing a bunch of Flight Simulator 2020 the last couple weeks. I haven't picked up Evo yet. I heard the VR isn't quite there yet. You get your buttkicker stuff going?

I don't use it myself.

You need to run steam vr for that and virtual desktop for openxr to work its not supported by default for AMS2 and to be fair does not need to be steam vr is garbage anyway and virtual desk top will hog resources needed for AMS2 so why bother. You will spend hours jumping through hoops and doing back flips to the VR gods for no real advantage at all.

I've never had issues with VR, but I did a quick search and it seems to be deleted to Pimax and launching from "pitool" fixes the issue, and/or checking the box for "compatible with parallel projection" in SteamVR settings. @@danceoffAsh No, it's always made a big difference for me. I've tried this on both the Quest 2 and 3. Perhaps different VR headsets respond differently? Remember too that you must restart the app for the change to take effect.

@@mxracinguy5993 I see, I am mostly on PCVR headsets, Pimax, Pico 3 etc so couldn't see much difference unless I up the res via Steam VR

Oh yeah. I forgot it was added. Never race on it. Think I'll get laps in tomorrow. Will be awesome. Mosport is a couple hours from where I live, and I've looked a few times at their track days.

It depends on what is happening. I find that it's pretty easy to see which corners they're gonna swing wide and ignore you for corner entry, you can abuse this by staying on the inside, they'll fly out to the side, and leave the inside open and usually don't come swinging full speed into the apex. If AI is ramming you from behind when approaching a corner, you're likely off pace/braking too early. If you're going into a corner and on the inside, AI on the outside at the read, and they're hooking your corner, and trying to spin you, lift off the gas and full steer into the corner, it will allow the AI to pull more along side, and lifting the throttle will allow you to turn further into the corner and get disconnected from the AI. Sometimes this feels like you're glued to the other car. You're trying to turn right, AI is pushing into your corner which is straightening you out, and you can no longer turn no matter what because the AI ignores this contact and further tries to push into your corner. I hope this makes some sense and can help you out.

If you don't enjoy having the AI ramming you from behind then stay away from Raceroom. That game has the most idiotic AI of any driving game and I'm talking going back to the early 2000s.

Hahaha, I tried it once, a while back, and it felt so weird in the car (VR), the world scale was so large and couldn't be bother to figure out the UI in it. I did find the AI extra rammy in the brief time I was in it, but chalked that up to me not being familiar with it.

@@StrykerCDNRacing VR player here too but haven't tried it in RR yet. I'm new to RR and in fact last night I purchased some tracks and cars since they're on sale. Now having buyers remorse as I just don't see myself playing it. Not only is the AI useless, the track limits were lazily programmed. As in, at any point/time/anywhere on the track you get too far offline and you lose that lap - AND THE NEXT LAP!!! Who has time for this? And if you managed to qualify for a race you're guaranteed to be taken out by the AI ramming you from the rear. I'd laugh if it was funny but it gets to your nerves in no time.

I'll have to give Group C a go. Haven't race those in a long time.

Hey Hey! Yeah, took a bit of a break waiting for 1.6. I quite like the Audi R8. I have not been enjoying the handling of the GT3 Lambo, it seems extremely sluggish mid corner, but I haven't put a whole lot of time into it. The AI is quite bad at the moment I think. You should try Monza and watch how the AI take "Ascari" they completely whip the car almost 90 degrees into a power slide which looks like they're going to spin out, and make a full recovery. Watching a train of them do it is amusing, but also frustrating. AI also seems more aggressive now, and certain tracks, Donington for example, where they would pay attention to where you were before the update, now they will ram you off the track as if you're not there. Haven't tried LFM yet, will likely get some offline practice in with LMP2 and LMDh cars. Car responsiveness feels noticeably better, and grip seems to be improved, I still feel like there is a lack of weightiness to the car though.

@StrykerCDNRacing I haven't done much on racing lately due to health , but the little driving I did in the LMP Porsche I enjoyed ! The cars feel a little better but still very loose, on the other hand if you go and watch the real 963 Porsche pole lap from Kevin Estre in lemans and the work he does behind the wheel I think the Reiza People nailed the feel of the car ! I am experimenting with a new immersion toy "Buttkicker" but again the health situation is not that great right now ! Overall I think it will improve as it always does in AMS 2 They will keep working on it to make it better , so far I like what they did with tracks and cars added I just need to Drive all of it when I am better lol 😂

The irony in this is that I had tried this race twice, once with the BMW, and the second with the GTR and I was losing my mind with the back end going out on both of them. Swapped to the Porsche, and no problem. I'm not sure honestly, perhaps because I use the MR cars more often, so they feel more natural to me. There is a bit of counter steering coming out of corners and getting in the gas though.

@@StrykerCDNRacing think I read that increasing the preload helps and reducing the clutches to 2 or 4. I do prefer the Porsche as the other cars don't seem so alive and slow visually

@mattdack2225 Yeah. I had played ACC the day before, so I may have been off, but the Porsche and Mclaren are my favorite by far.

@@StrykerCDNRacing what do you prefer? ACC or ams2? I was thinking of going back to ACC but ams2 is nicer visually and greater options of vehicles

@mattdack2225 I prefer playing AMS2 purely for the VR experience. I'm waiting patiently for LeMans Ultimate to officially support VR. I like the feel of the cars in ACC though with regards to connectivity with the track. Excited for the AMS 1.6 update which hopefully brings everything together.

Correct. I record my race, then record the replay, then slap it together after with some color correction to my liking.
