Oh, that’s so cute! I also crochet, knit and hand stitch (like east European blouses not like fancy stuff). It’s a way to still do something with your hands and not having to take the sewing machine out, cutting scissors, pattern, chalk, thread, bobbin, needle, pins, pressing cloth, ironing board, iron, tailors clapper … It’s great for toys, cardigans and lace. I don’t like it on clothing because it’s stiff. You’re doing great, keep going! If you need patterns, go to the crochet crowd, Mikey is great. Have a nice evening (here is 10:30 pm so…)

Please always try it on a piece of scrape fabric. I marked on linen cotton blend, erased it but left a yellow-y mark that did not got away.

What size bias tape did you use? The pattern calls for 1 inch bias tape. Seems too big. But yours looks like 1/2 inch. Thanks

I find that my automatic buttonholes look so much better if my stitch length is set closer to 0 rather than 1. If its right on 0 nothing moves, so closer to zero rather than almost a 2. Try it and see if you like it. I suppose the setting you use might be better for a buttonhole on a stretch knit, or a fleece, but play around with the length setting and see.

Tru dat! Your sewing machine has to be able to stitch straight. And zigzag if you’re into knits, together with a walking foot. That’s it.

What if you need to change the pattern? They never Seed to fit me because i’m between 3 sizes and I have to make a sway back adjustment every single time. It’s not really a game changer for 90 percent of the sewists.
