    I'm trying to decide if I want to do a 2 point or a 3 point rotation. Any advice? I get my starter locks (2 strand twists) in a few days and will retighten probably every 4 or 5 weeks

    • @abiesdiymicrolocsjourney9571
      @abiesdiymicrolocsjourney9571 2 роки тому

      I heard 2 point rotation is more flat while 3 point gives your loc a more rounder fuller look. I’ve been doing 3 point rotation because I like the fuller look.

    Try washing every 4 weeks and starting to retie your hair at the 6th week mark..... if you start reties at 4 weeks - that's too much pressure on your scalp even though your reties take 2 weeks to finish. Hope you understand. Best wishes and growth

    Please be careful about castor oil, it is known to clog hair follicles and coconut oil is known to dry out hair. Too many products for locs is not good. I dont use anything, just water or teas, or aloevera or fermented rice water and my own natural sebum that I rub down.

    • @abiesdiymicrolocsjourney9571
      @abiesdiymicrolocsjourney9571 2 роки тому

      Thank you! Do you rub any oil on your scalp? I noticed my scalp has been getting dry.

    • @Brownmahfun
      @Brownmahfun 2 роки тому

      @@abiesdiymicrolocsjourney9571 Absolutely NOT. Only a light amount on the bottom of strands once in a while. You have to let your sebum accumulate and then rub it down the strands of your hair. Because I do it this way, I only need water or water and acv to clean my hair and scalp.

    • @Brownmahfun
