New Location, More Gold
One thing I love about prospecting is all the different locations it takes me too! Locations where I may never of seen if I wasn’t looking for gold.
In this video I’m exploring new ground, try to build up my portfolio of confirmed gold locations. Today’s location was unexpected as failed attempts sniping in some great looking bedrock, Chris and I checked out one last spot to which he found several flakes of gold!

The Moment I Lost Gold

What can I say?!?! It’s hard lesson learned losing patience and not getting out the water to get the right tool for the job. Whilst sniping for gold I found this spec tightly lodged into a bedrock crevice. I should’ve gotten my tweezers or a sharper tool, but kept on scrapping with my blunt scraper and the result is I flicked it away and couldn’t find the gold again. This is just one small spec...

There’s something calming and unique about prospecting for gold underwater rather than the more conventional techniques. To see the gold lodged in its resting place uncovered after thousands or even millions of years, well, there...

Thanks for watching, if you ever visit Scotland, best to add Skye to your bucket list. Also if you’re planning to stay on the island book as far in advance as you can, it’s a hot spot for tourism. There’s a lot of history in Skye with many thousands clan members from the McClouds and McDonalds migrating in the 1700/1800’s due to bad crop seasons.

Lots of moss and root tangles there, wonder if there's much clay? I don't know how recent floods have been but might be worth checking. Of course those deep cracks just keep working over ages.

Your Duglas Furr trees looks like the central plateau of the North Island of NZ. If one didn't know any better one might think your river is the Rangitike one of many mountain streams that flows from Naturel Parks all the way to the East Coast Sea. Can't say it has gold but it sure as hell has rainbow trout in the water, wild pigs and deer on both sides. Fantastic place for a fly camp mate, I could stay there till the next snow falls :) What your walking out... At least now there are goodies in that there streams. Thanks for sharing from NZ.
