You gotta have a Michters in there! M10, Barrel Strength or Toasted are great for bourbon drinkers. Love Jack Ryes though.

Good list. I’d have flipped your #1 and #2, but I’m with you overall. Those 95-5 MGP ryes are just too much.

Particularly for a bourbon drinker, I tend to suggest Knob Creek Single Barrel Rye, 115. It's got the proof, but it's barely legal 51% type that practically tastes like a bourye even though it's not blended. A constant shelfer and reasonably priced.

Great list Mark. I am not a big rye guy but have been trying more and more of them. I started with Old Forester Rye and then tried some of the Bouryes like Pikesville and Lost Monarch. One of the best ryes I have tried is a Frey Ranch SoCal Pick that was gifted to me from David at Whiskey Bank. I just got an EH Taylor Rye for MSRP and look forward to trying it. 🥃

Great line up Mark, I agree that the JD Twice Barreled Rye is amazing. I was lucky enough to get two bottles for $95 (plus tax). The EHT rye is also very good but I have only seen it in The Wild once and it cost me more than that $100 but not to much more (we did a bundle deal to bring down the $$) I do have a couple bottles of those JD sbbp rye, they are fantastic especially for the $$$. 🥃🥃🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

Great list. I might swap out the Rittenhouse for Pikesville. The Pikesville is a barely legal rye so it might appeal more to a bourbon drinker. Cheers eh

I'm going to try and jump off this Booker's train. I have the Kentucky Tea from 2022, yuk, this years 2024-01 that I have opened yet, as I haven't the Story Teller. But, the Mighty Fine wasn't quite good enough to take out EC523 (which I wasn't a huge fan of). It's complicated. But yeah, getting easier to find, but consistently... Not bad, but, odd. Thanks for the review, I'll have to try them against the Story Teller here soon. Actually, PigSkin is my go-to Superbowl bottle... Cheers.

The E&J Blue label brandy is slightly vanilla flavored, is smooth and tastes good without the surgery stickiness. It's good neat or with an ice cube or two or even mixes well with Coke. And it's only $16-18 per 5th.

I scored it a "B+" (very good).

I just got this bottle today. It was 99.99 + tax at Imbibe Chattanooga. I was coming back from the John Deere Classic in Moline, Illinois. I also got their store picks of Jefferson's reserve Single barrel 100 proof and Three Chord. They also have a Barrell pick that's just amazing. I just could not come off another hundred after my trip. I may have to make a trip to get it. Great Review, I'm happy to see it's a good Batch. 🎉🎉🎉
